If you take off the indicator housing from the bottom you can remove the airflow sleeve and push it together slightly to make it more oval and tighter. You’ll need to press it firmly, but don’t go too hard on it. I’d suggest pressing it closer to the airflow slots rather than in the middle

I don't think I understand the question? Unless it's damaged on purpose I really don't think that it'll wear too much or break, it should work fine for a long time. It's made like that to ensure that it'll work well actually :) The bayonet fitting wouldn't work great with the magnet I think...

That looks alright, 500F is not too low actually I remembered wrong, but your coil is probably further up than most Wands. You could try to push the adapter a little higher up and try around 525F. I've got another Wand today and the coil position is slightly different from my previous one so...
