Arizer Solo

What im wondering about those new stainless bowl is if and how it will affect the pvhes. PV (in arizer's name surely) said less conduction. I thought the extra air coming through the micro channel were heated by the copper bowl. If the stainless bowl heats less, then the air comming through should be colder.

Way earlier itt, some users with ceramic bowls felt like having a superior bowl. I feel I will be a proud old copper bowl owner later itt :)

I would be more than happy if a PVHES, copper and stainless bowl owner could comment on that

I thought the bowls were always stainless
:hmm:
The ceramics were still the same bowl as the later ones, the only difference was a slight ceramic coating.
After that, I thought all bowls were SS?
I know the SS bowls could "blue" over time (an odd term since it actually turns a bit yellow, not blue from memory)

Never heard of a copper bowl before.

I think I've missed a few hunks of the thread though, so maybe I missed something?

You are right it has always been stainless steel. But arizer apparently did make some changes, some people report a slightly different bowl (althought I cant tell a difference) and a few other changes. Overall sounds like the old ones get a bit hotter.

I know my ceramic 102 gets hotter in hand feel then the M1a3. The 102's bowl is black and even if stainless underneath is ceramic where the glass touches it. In many ways I like the way it runs better cept for some nit picky things. The hole on top is bigger yet it can't fit my broken turbo that was made to big od. It is to big for an oring so I have to use a washer, thanks clicker, it last longer on a PA then the M1a3. There are other minor differences as well like 11 min sessions after you have a few under your belt. I so want a new one just to see now. I think if the new one is exactly what we have been told so far I would think it would be better with the stock stem but we will have to wait for either PV to chime in or someone with both for some extensive testing as OF says fun stuff NO IT ISN'T OF lol:rofl:

Alright guys, I've been having some issues with my solo which I''ve had for roughly a year now. The model number is M1A4.

So recently I've noticed my battery doesn't hold quite the charge it used to. Now, I'm having issues even keeping my device on mid session!

I turn on the vape, fully charged, and set it to 4-5 as usual. The device will heat to the temp setting I set, but will turn off mid session occasionally and then be unable to be turned back on.

When I put it right back on the charger, the blue idlelight stays lit and the red charge light will stay light simultaneously for about 6 seconds, and then all the Orange lights light right back on up to where it was charged before I took it off the first time. After I do this I can turn it back on and attempt the process again.

It seems to only run through a full sesh maybe once or twice before pulling this voodoo on me.

What are my options?

@Kyle Where did you buy it from? And when you say "roughly a year" is it just under, or just over?

I'd contact the seller with a polite email describing the problem. Even if it's over a year, If it's a battery issue they might service it anyway, and if it's an issue with anything else it's still under warranty.

EDIT: To clarify, the battery is warranted for one year, the rest of the unit for two years and the heating element for life.

I think this is the key. This unit has all the earmarks of a bad cell in the battery (one still OK, the other bad). The confirmation of this would be catching the discharge at the right spot. If you can fully charge (seven LEDs) heat for whatever time it takes (way less than 12 minutes if sounds like?) such that it'll restart and check the battery level at that point. A healthy battery should stay on step 7 for over a full session, anything less condemns the battery (or at least one of the cells in it).

If you can't get it replaced under warranty, there are a couple of sources of replacement battery packs floating around here....if you're handy with a small screwdriver?

Good luck.

I also have a "copper" colored Solo bowl. Normal heat up time, good battery (although I'm doing my best to murder it)

If I don't get an Evo in the next 2 weeks, I'll have to buy another Solo so I can U-Joint it up.

Thats essentially what mine was doing, send it back.

Well, my bad for saying copper. I dont know what it is, but i doubt its SS, because ss is gray. My bowl is yellowish. like many pics of solos i saw itt.

But my point is the new models have less conduction and i though the hot bowl would heat the air comming through the micro channel of the pvhes. Im worried the pvhes will not be as efficient in the newer models.

the Solo is so cool......................

that when you walk into a local head shop and start hitting it they don't say hey we are a head shop you can't do that here we could get in trouble.

they just say can I have a hit. lol

damn your stems dirty...

Dirty Glass 4 life! I'll get some epic anti-glass-pron pics up of my bubbler for you guys to snark at :) AND I recently "cleaned" it too.

IDK but for me, all that reclaim on glass ... I like it. It reminds me of how a pizza stone gets 'seasoned' over time. Or my underpants after a long weekend of mexican food.

What the fucking Nirvana Utopia is this sheet! GLORIOUS!

Just a quick photo to show how reflective (shinny) Solita Ria really is! Take a look at where my thumb meets her sexy body!

In the background is @Pipes CARPA providing the steady power necessary to be this sexy!!!

20131130_190527.jpg

Again! Everyone but me is living in a utopian future state!

Reclaims fine, I just prefer mine straight golden, no particulates. :)

That would be my goal. I'm a glass n00b, and the floaties is exactly what drove me to clean my Showerhead cap Bubbler. I love looking at the golden sludge for some reason, and the particulates are "icky" in comparison, which is kinda irrational on my part.

I was planning on purchasing one of Centizen's upgraded battery packs, so would I be safe doing this and then just switching the batteries out? I'd prefer to have the high capacity one anyways over the stock battery and was waiting to purchase one soon when this issue with my device occurred.
