Ed's WoodScents Log Vape - Ed's TnT

Hmmm that is a compelling idea that the heat soak is contributing to the green on the bottom. The bowl is way longer than the dv, so that could explain why they’re diverging on the heat soak.

I have the variable voltage supply from Ed’s with the digital readout and the knob, not sure if you mean that one can be replaced with better easily? Would love one that has up/down buttons instead of such a sensitive knob!

Love mine too! I roll through vapes like crazy and honestly expected I’d sell this one too but it’s here to stay
If it has a display then you got the good one 👍

I haven’t tried a dv tip as none of mine fit however my simrell chamber extracts so evenly and thoroughly with any load size.

It does take an extra huff or two when I have daytime temps going but that’s normal

What voltage and what power supply are you using? Have you had your device long?
I'm running my (2021) Woodscents at 11.0V, via a REFC ATM VVPS. Maybe I should try some more volts before I give up on the chamber. Appreciate everyone's perspectives here!

Highly recommend the REFC Labs ATM (Advanced Telemetry Module)!

Yes the REFC ATM is the one you want. May as well start with a dual because if you’re like me you’ll want to upgrade from the single. With the dual I can run multiple logs at once. The voltage almost always stays exactly where you set it, no knob to accidentally bump.

You all have inspired me, gonna be a Woodscents Saturday, definitely cool enough outside for some logs today.

Really? Does it "save" the voltage adjustment, so that even if you turn the knob it doesn't change like a lock mechanism? That would be awesome. Do you know if I can use it with an eu power supply or would that need more changes on the device?

The knob on the power supply has to be clicked in and then turned for it to respond. Bumping it will not make it change, you can also lock it at the current settings. No idea if it works in EU but I’d imagine you just need the proper power cord. Here’s the power supply used in the ATM:

Great!! Thank you so much! The constant fear of accidentally going over 14 volts was the only thing which really made me enjoy it less than other devices!
Will get one asap and then the rubys for a ball upgrade! 😁

anyone tried the ball mod for the WS?
I actually just did this! I used 2.5mm balls and a mesh screen instead of the ccd. Game changer for me. Airflow is more open than stock, but the heat keeps up at least as well. Feels like a more instant whitewall.

I had agreed here a few days ago that my dynavap tip hits better than my simrell tip, but no longer. I think I was doing shorter draws with the tight airflow stock, but with the more open flow this way I am getting huge hits on the simrell chamber.

I’m obviously missing something, or over thinking it. How does adding balls open up the airflow? I’m picturing more restriction for some reason. Is something removed from the air path to accommodate the balls?

Cool! How are you putting the mesh screen on there?
I have an amboyna burl unit, it was owned by a couple of people before me. It came with the lowered mesh screen mod and I want to convert it back to the ccd configuration as I prefer a more restricted draw. Is this an easy refit without having that Simrell master key?

For what it’s worth I went back and forth a few times with the ccd without a master key. But I kept being annoyed with it being slightly crooked. Took a long time to get it in there acceptably. Doable though I’d say

Hello all,
Just got my first WS and I can't seem to get the power plugged into the log, the hole appears to be too small. Am I missing something? The kit is a lite version I ordered from Sneaky Pete's Canadian site. Thanks everyone!
