Brilliant Cut Grinder

Actually that looks like a decent method. Do you find that the herb clings at all to the leather with static electricity? What is the diameter of the dish?

added: I see now there are different sizes. Does the "dust" version have a different surface or is it just decoration?

hey @cybrguy

The diameters are 8 cm for the standard version, and 10 cm for the XL version.
I have the standard version and it's perfect for emptying the contents of my grinder. It was great with my BCG as well. I turned it over and it made me beautiful little weed donuts... 🤤
No static electricity issues to report. There may be a few crumbs left on the edge, but it's really to look for the little beast. By passing a finger or a brush, it's solved!
It's a very nice piece... especially for the price!!!
I also empty my AVB in it for certain vapes.

I think you will adopt it very quickly!

Édit: i don't know for the "dust version"

They have dropped a bunch of new seconds so there should be plenty of choice for 420.

Added: I'll add this here cause nobody has posted after my last, but I have found one bother with my new BCG. The walls of the bottom piece are so high that its is a awkward to empty it into my Chico or even onto a folded piece of cardboard I tend to dump my grinder into before pouring it into a Chico. This is by no means a deal killer, just an inconvenience.

Feel free to reverse any like that might only apply to the first part of this post. :p
I just dump mine into a piece of paper that I already put a crease in.....then I use the Jyarz funnel to dump into a be Classic.

I tend to use a folded piece of cardboard, but I think I may have to get one of these. Probably the smaller one to save desk space.

That's the one thing that never changed through the years, even after switching to vaping – I always use a folded cardboard too, preferably a postcard. The Mixette is definitely on my list; the BCG bowl is fine for loading my TM and the Dynavaps, but when you go through several strains each day it's nice to have something to dump it out onto. Thx for sharing, @fangorn! Looking forward to bake some weed donuts! :-)

Just took delivery of my "factory second" and the only issue I can see, as reported by others, is some swirling where it looks like someone got a little careless with a polishing tool on the inside of the collection chamber.

Thanks for posting a photo. My factory second has the same circular marks on part of its bottom plate, which is pretty much the only flaw I can see on that piece. On really close inspection, it looks like there's a slight "error" in the anodizing pattern on my top, but it may just be a weird optical illusion from specific viewing angles. It just looks like there's a very thin line running from one side to the other where the anodizing is a touch darker.

For how closely I have to examine it to notice any of this though, none of these "flaws" bother me, considering the savings over a "factory first".

This is the first I have heard of that happened with a BCG, I would reach out to them ASAP, they will take care of you!
And they did:
Oh no! I'm sorry to hear that happened.
The part can be repaired with a bit of epoxy, just make sure that the magnet goes back in the right direction (polarity).
They also offered to send me a new grind plate but I don't think that will be necessary.

otherwise..maybe.. somebody in the production line had no other metal to cool down his hot cap, eh? ;)

I have no idea what that means.

did somebody ever had a successful experience from grinding with only 1 hand? I can't grind this way..

Yeah I don't see how that could be possible unless you had something else to hold the grinder while you turned? I remember people talking about how they were able to open it with one hand, "crack it like an egg" they'd say, meanwhile I've never been able to crack an egg without two hands either

There are trays with build in grinders... guess you can always block the tray with your knee if needed.

Maybe some type of vise?
then I'll be the only one which entered this thread and then used his vise, instead of his visa.....
maybe if the buds are very dry it can be work with one hand, dunno, my nugs are sticky or a bit wet... i'm fine with two hands

anyway, cleaned my BCG with Ethanol and now it grinds better.. way better..

personally, I bought a small leather plate, "la mixette"... I don't really know for what purpose... not this one anyway... but I found myself spilling the contents of my grind in it, then pour it into my jyarz...
Super efficient!!

(French product, also marketed on eBay and Etsy...)
I picked up one of these, and I like it, but I wish I had bought the larger one as the smaller that I got is a little tight when using the large BCG.

I recently received a large BC grinder that I purchased during their 420 sale. All silver with all 3 grind sizes. I did not purchase a factory 2nd. The collection tray does not look like it should be First Quality to me. After reaching out to them and sending a photo I was told that tool path marks are normal for their parts. I am not familiar with posting a photo. It looks very similar to the factory 2nd posted earlier in this thread. Their last response indicated that I could return the item if I was not completely pleased with it. My response was that the function by far outweighs the minor cosmetic issue. Those considering a new purchase should know that BCG first quality items have tooling marks. Not a huge issue for me but it would have been nice to know.
