Anvil by Vestratto

What does it mean by "clicker measures bowl temperature, not cap temp"? Because what you're describing above it sounds like it functions essentially the same, with adjusting technique depending on the torch/heating location.

Forgive me if this has already been asked, but what are people preferring for torches? Single? Double? Bigger dabbing style torches?

I’ve been wondering about the same thing - I mean technically if the cap actually clicked at a specific set point, there wouldn’t really be any temperature adjustment by heating in different spots on the chamber.

Instead it seems a lot like the Dyna where you can even combust internally before the click registers.

So yeah after I paid on Tuesday I have not heard a thing from Vestratto.

Perhaps it's worth approaching with caution, although it seems like further waitlist emails have not been sent??

Is there a supply issue??

I'm glad that you find my post funny @Sour Dream , Can you add anything to the questions that I asked?

I ordered last Sunday and tracking shows delivery this Thursday. You should have gotten a confirmation email at least. Shoot John an email.

There is a specific thread for this sort of question fyi:

Grower, Vaper, all around Shithead.
your question has mostly been answered a few times over the last few days, there is a 3 business day delay where they have to wait for funds to clear before shipping. So yea your post was funny lol
I'm not laughing. I paid Monday and I'm still sat at "electronic label created". It seems Vestratto is all too eager to take our money, but delivering in any kind of respectable timeframe is becoming questionable. Even if it ships Monday, it has to travel cross country for me, with no option for expedited shipping. Would have been swell if he had shipped Friday and we had the weekend of movement in our favour. I gotta say, between the frugality of Vestratto toward user's edition buyers, and a general lack of communication, most of my joy has already been sucked out of this purchase.

Just wait til you suck on your purchase…all your joy will come flooding back ; )

I agree, the waiting is no fun (15+ days for my first anvil, purchase to doorstep). However, you are in for a treat.
Right, but this is not a founder's order, there is no implicit pre-purchase wait period, so I accept zero excuses why this didn't go out sooner. This isn't about product function, it's about principled business practice.

**Edit: Apologies to mods, I neglected to use the shipping thread.

Was this heat up shortly after a previous heat up? The battery holds heat from before. Then it gets slightly overheated by the time the clicker clicks.
Nope. First one.
When riding the line with the Blazer firefox or any torch, i would recommend aiming for a 30-35 sec click when heating the thermal battery. If it click faster than that you are going to risk the chance of combustion. You may need to heat with the outter blue flame when heating the battery, if you add too much heat it will over ride the thermal lag and combust. I prefer heating the center oven for 20 sec with the firefox style torches
This guy knows stuff
Do you recommend a smaller torch like used on a sticky brick or dyna to RTL? I have an honest torch that gets smaller than the Firefox, just the flame adjustment is terrible lol
The smaller flames are easier to get consistent results. I was just pushing it a little too much. I have learned

If you ordered on Monday the funds still need to clear before anything gets done so even if it shipped Friday it would have sat all weekend as Canada Post does not operate on Saturday and Sundays so the weekend really doesnt favor you in anyway.
One user got his package in 6 days from Canada to the UK so i wouldnt jump to be so negative my man anything is possible 🤞

John wrote in The Vestratto Sunday Post on March 6th:

“Perhaps more importantly, now that the manufacturing of the Users Edition is stabilized and ramping I plan to finish developing some of the additional accessories and configurations that you have requested. We intend to expand the Anvil ecosystem pretty dramatically in the next few months so stay tuned.”

Wonder what John was referring to when he said: “We intend to expand the Anvil ecosystem pretty dramatically in the next few months” ?

I would be ecstatic if they created a spiralling intercooler for the Anvil for native use, similar to the Simrell or Revolve stems. Cool vapor. Ahh

As promised by John Vestrratto, i received my free user edition today!. Improvements are great even if the now cult founder edition has nothing to envy to the new one, it was already a performer!
Now, It will be used to convince friends who are interested in vape...

That used to be minimum order of 3 and now it's 4. Did you split an order with somebody?

I could make more use of that in a 14F since I already have 18 and would prefer not to need the reducer each time. Price is right for sure though.

Yours doesn't look much like the one in the pic, almost like a little sipper bubbler with the extra room at the joint

How resistant to scratches are the colored heatshields? What material is made of (SS or aluminium)? Still debating which to pick: purple or black or silver...

There's a really good chance it went out when it was suppose to. Once it leaves the receiving carrier has to create the ticket or scan it into their system for it to update. I have the same issue, seems stuck in the same place. Shipping anything right now is a nightmare and its out of his hands once it leaves unfortunately. His business is very principled and you will get what you paid for, no worries there!!!!

Haven't received mine yet, but If memory serves correctly, they are made of anodized aluminum. Should be as resistant to scratches as any other anodized surface, like a grinder or doob tube would be. Personally decided to go with black for now.

FYI Sunday post is out:

I am going to use Vestratto to try and do a bit of good. On Wednesday we will be opening a special drop of FIVE Anvil kits and donating 100% of the proceeds to help provide some small relief to refugees from Ukraine through Canadian Red Cross Ukraine Relief. These special kits will include, an Anvil, 1/2 and full bowl, a utility tube, a blue heat shield and a yellow heat shield. The posted cost for the kit will be $300 with 100% of proceeds to the Red Cross. Shipping is extra. This is a first come first served offer. I am going to drop it around noon Wednesday, Toronto time, 12 pm EST. This is OUTSIDE the waitlist.

What actually comes with the Anvil?
I'm getting my email today but can't see any info on what you get, whether you have a choice of colours, full bowl/half bowl etc or does it just come as standard and if I want those other things I have to buy them?
Cheers
