I wonder what would be the effect of that copper ring if you try to vape in a windy situation ,which is the case where dynavaps perform already bad enough. Faster cooling ? Cold weather might also decrease performance. :D
My guess is that the added stainless steel allows for more heat retention and the copper for better heat dissipation and conductivity. So it will take longer to click but by how much will depend on the copper to stainless steel ratio. The one with the most amount of copper will heat up the fastest (but still slightly longer than a standard cap).

I'm actually quite interested in this, but I'm pretty sure it's useless when you're using an IH. It does sound like a great improvement for people who use a torch and want to get into vapcaps, and for those who want to clear the bowl in one massive hit.

I really like the idea of a hot cap and that's just about the only new product I'd be interested in. Until the 2022 models hit the market

@VapCap there's also quite a lot of community engagement over here. Would love to hear more from you here on FC, some of us really don't like Reddit

It's time to give my exit review from the dynaverse. I have now sold all my dynavap kit. Buying the wand was the last ditched attempt to bring back my love of vapcaps. I am afraid it did not work.

I don't like conduction, and I don't like hybrids. They just taste sub-par to me.

I found vapcaps to be inefficient and hard work to get me where I want to be. One bowl was never enough to get me stoned.

I lost count of the times I missed the cool down click and overcooked the bowl.

And with an IH, not very stealthy out and about

I think vapcaps are getting overtaken by some of the new kids on the block.

Dynavap needs something really new, not just cosmetic changes to compete.

When it comes to butane I'll stick with my brick.

There's merit to your complaints, but I find that in this case the Brick and DV compliment each other well and can provide a full spectrum experience together. Which is not to say that you should, too, just that others might consider this something to investigate for themselves.

I get this is some sort of "Farewell post", but I honestly think it's well worth a thread on its own.
Lots to discuss.

@Trillian welcome to FC :wave:

I have a different impression of the VapCap. I have only owned my 2021 M for a few weeks and I have already acquired an Azurium 2021 M and a 2020 M.

I use a UFO induction heater and have found the process to be very repeatable and the results very reproducible. I heat to the first click, skip the "terpy hit" and put it on the magnet until I hear the cool down click. I then heat it again until the click, wait 3 seconds, remove it and hit it with the airports fully occluded (I do "feather" the airports to add more air towards the end of the draw).

I get good vapor production and great effects using this process. How high you get from a single bowl is very personal. For me, a VapCap bowl gets me as high or higher than a bowl from one of my convection vapes, but the VapCap uses less material.

I was pleasantly surprised at how repeatable/reproducible this process and the results have been. I don't use a torch - the UFO has worked great for me. Even though it is a very manual process I have found the consistent results that I was looking for.

Yep, IMO Vapcaps are incredibly unique to each users inputs. Because there is such a wide range of possibilities (heat type, heat penetration, heat aim, on/off timing [beyond the click, etc.], draw speed, air mixture, and so on) I think most people who don’t like them just haven’t found the right combination for themselves.

If I use a single flame or IH I have to go well beyond the click or it doesn’t penetrate the way I want; with a 3-4 flame torch I get the penetration I want and repeatable hits that meet my expectation at the click every time.

And most of them are trying to use too hot a flame too close to heat too quickly. Get past that and you're golden. I consistently get my best results with a .5" single flame, outer flame barely brushing the lower third of the cap, heat til click > fat, tasty clouds with any cap, any tip, on any stem.

Caveat: For some reason, I have my worst results, bar none, with the 21 Vong tip. I have used all of my IHs, and every torch and trick I've come across, but I have never finished a bowl in the Vong tip that wasn't scorched tasting, even when the abv looks perfectly even. I've finally replaced my Vong tips with 21 Omni tips, and I'm getting results that are excellent, both in hit density and flavor. I read others' comments and I feel like I'm in Bizzaro World, since my experience is about the exact opposite of everyone else's!

Or maybe they've just seen better and have higher standarts for vapor quality ,lol.
Dynavap is nice for what it is but it always had a metalic taste for me and it is not even in my top 10 for flavour. Not to mention that black sooth building inside the cap and on outer side of the tip. I prefer my vaponic for vapor quality any day over it,not to mention Gn0mes.
To me most people that worship dynavap prefer convenience and durability over vapor quality. Also not everyone is born with sharp senses. Many people cannot tell difference between cheap wine in plastic jugs and the good aged stuff in glass bottles in a blind test.

Does anyone know why do we have tags 2x ,Simrell MVS and Tandeminnovations on this thread ,lol ? Is it for promotional purposes ?

Seems like ‘most people’ means most different things to most people.

As far as I’m aware most does not mean literally every single person; it usually means a slight predominance, with plenty of room for those of similar situations to which the statement is not directly or entirely relevant.

I don't worship DV

I think the vapour quality can be excellent.

I think I have fairly good taste buds. Took a wine course few years back and a simple test on the tongue demonstrated that I had 'super taster' taste buds. Whether that's the case who knows but I have always found broccoli to be very intense unpleasant taste and this is sometimes an indicator.

I also have a reasonable variety of devices to make a comparison.

Just putting a counter view that DV is not only favoured by hasty, rushed users with poor sense of taste.
Some of us like em for their slow pace of delivery, nice hybrid flavour and a kick that defies their size and simplicity.....

Well many people think they are good at smth but there always will be someone better and more sensitive :whip:. It's hard to set a standard with those things .
But do you feel the difference between drinking wine from a metal cup or a glass one ?
I also hate broccoli also brussel sprouts and romanesco . I agree there are more flavourful ways to use your dynavap, like maintaining the temp low ,but it will never be tastier than Vaponic at the same heat level. The majority of water filtration tools are made of glass for same reason. Common opinion around FC is that glass is king of taste .

I agree. Always someone better at something. Are you suggesting that you are better than me at determining a good vape? That may well be the case although I feel that there are too many subjective variables for this to be possible.
And I dont want to get into a discussion in drinking wine etc. I prefer cognac :brow:
And I don't have a vaponic to make comparisons to.
I just disagree that the DV is worshipped by those that tend to favour fast extraction with minimal taste. I have had some fantastic hits from DV. And nice leisurely sessions.
Maybe it's just me.
And I also hate Brussels etc. Devil's food....

To be honest i hate alcohol :) ! Almost everyone thinks he is better than someone else ,it is called Ego . Vaponic is very fragile but a nice addition to any arsenal, with its pancake method it is best for hash . To be honest the only scenario i use DV is when wandering in the forest or hiking and i want something with nearly immortal status with me ,cause i have broken more then a few others.
I agree with you on subjectivity ,it is almost in every aspect of life ,not just taste . I have to say we got much in common (not liking the devils food) ,so lets not prolong this anymore and agree to disagree on our differences . I always enjoy your posts and consider you one of the most knowledgeable vaporists on board ! Cheers and have a great day :) !

So as i read this: if you were stranded on a deserted island and could only pick one device...it would be a DV.
I'm being a bit snarky of course, however, this is precisely why I do like the DV's so much. Simplicity and reliability. I'm likely not a super taster by any stretch of the imagination so this is not a factor for me thankfully. DV's are nearly bulletproof, highly versatile, easy to clean, highly efficient, and can essentially last forever. I'm a simple man and not ashamed of that whatsoever....these attributes appeal to me.
After years of combusting I've been through Firewood, carts, Pax, Firefly, Grasshopper, and Dynavap. I love to explore this ecosystem but am getting tired of being a guinea pig. DV's work well for me. As you put it yourself 'near immortal status'.

Depends on how deserted is that island. If there is no electricity and no butane ,i would rather get an anvil or maybe sublimanator UFO,they look much easier to heat via unconventional heating metods :). Maybe there will be fruits or cane ,so alcohol can be distilled and figure out an alcohol lamp. As far as i know there is only one vape ever created that can work without any sort of fuel and it is the Element hand-powered vaporizer by Vapman and the BC solarizer but it was a piece of crap . Maybe one day will see to fruition the Crankadank :D... https://fuckcombustion.com/threads/crankadank.25143/
I like DV because my 2017m was like 50 euro . Money is scarce at my geographical location, so would not be taking an expensive vape with me even if it is immortal as DV,cause i can always loose it between rocks or smth like that :). For me the best features of dynavap are low cost and durability.

On a side note ,did anyone ever tried heating DV with a magnifying glass ? Maybe it would work with those black caps ?

I'm not one of those guys with an arsenal of tools to choose from. I like to keep things minimal (but I do have several DV stems, tips, caps etc). If it doesn't work well for me...I part with it. I'm always willing to try new things but I will not keep tools around that are not truly useful. I can't imagine ever being without some DV stems, tips, caps but never say never. We do evolve but this meets my current needs handily.
Ha!...one of the best days of the recent year was when I sold off all my Grasshopper bits....good riddance! (and a telling example of how bad this recent year was lol).

As a Vapman, Vaponic and Elev8r user I have quite a few top-notch vapes for taste, but with purple and a few kush strains I prefer the titanium tipped Vapcap over the above mentioned vapes. I did a comparative analysis in a weekend...it was a great weekend!

I really like the '21 Omni and/or its tip for taste. Every time I use it I'm surprised how well it conveys flavor. It's still not an elev8r, but for a DV it's thick, flavorful vapor.

I picked up a 21VonG tip and a 21Omni tip for my Revolve. I haven't tried the 21Omni tip yet but I have a 21VonG and I like the tip a lot. We'll see which I like better after getting the Revolve...
