TinyMight / TM 2

Hi, i bought TinyMight when it came out but it was too powerful for me back then and I sold it to my friend. However now i'm used to mix thc flower with cbd and I think this could be number one choice for me now (and not too powerful haha).

Has anything "special" happened to it since it came out? Is there any big changes I should know about?
Should i get any accessories?
Does dosing capsule work well with TinyMight?
If i remember correctly it used to leave a brown ring on vaped material? Is that a problem still? Do i need to stirr the material while I'm vaping?
And last but not least, can you recommend this for me? I've been using DynaVap for years and Xmax v3 Pro for couple of months but I'd like to have better on-demand device with a changeable battery.

Thanks in advance!
There have been some changes, but nothing tremendous. Stuff like how to turn the led light on or off, different color leds, etc. Also a few upgrades/improvements to address common failure points, but not fundamental design changes.

I recommend at least the o-ring kit. If you take things apart at some point, including the cooling unit to clean it, it's easy to lose an o-ring and then you'll be on here trying to figure out what size to buy on eBay. Easier to have spares that will work.

I don't use dosing capsules with the TM, though I do with other vapes. Because with the TM the herb is in the stem and not the device, I don't find dosing capsules as useful (I like them for keeping the device clean, and easy and discreet reloads).

I get a dark circle pattern (I use level 8 to finish the herb) with the herb along the glass being almost green still. I tried stirring to avoid that, which helps of course, but found stirring makes a big mess. Overall, I find that not stirring allows me to simply blow the puck of spent ABV out of the stem when I'm done (best done while still warm), and that makes using the device simply easier (no need to stir, very easy to empty).

I really like the TM. What I like least is that the herb is just held in the stem by gently packing it in -- I worry that herb will fall out onto the heater screen. But with frequent use, that simply hasn't happened. Once in a while I get a small crumb down there and it just drops out, without me noticing something had fallen there (no taste change, etc.). I don't know whether it makes a difference, but heat may tend to keep the herb together, and I blow out my stem and load a fresh once while the stem and device are warm.

It also goes through batteries fairly quickly, and is the only vape where my battery has ever run out of juice unexpectedly. That is probably a function of the device only indicating 4 battery levels, and the device only telling you the level when is is being turned on. So if you used most of your battery in your last session, you won't know until you turn it on again and get one haptic buzz or it won't turn on. So a few spare 18650 batteries and an external charge are good to have too. My other devices have a screen clearly displaying battery life while in use, so it is easier to know where your battery level is.

All in all, I definitely recommend the TM. It gives you a broad range of temperatures to work with and all of the mess and goop stays in the glass stem and not the device itself, which make long term use and cleaning really nice. Just soak your glass stem in ISO when you feel like it.

Little pricey tho.

Yes however overall reliability is very good (some would argue better). I’ve been enjoying my TM blissfully, every single time, since March ‘20. If you think of it that way the price is more palatable and amortized over time. Glad I bought a TM as it’s always a pleasure to use.

Sorry I’ve recently lost the ability to quote on mobile web - argh! I’ll be replying less frequently as a result too :( :peace:

you were all right about the dosing capsules, though ive started putting the domed screen at the bottom of my stem facing into the weed to prevent any from falling out into the heater and even after stirring

not using the dosing capsule now means i can get hits from levels at least as low as 2 and keep getting hits from one bowl for hours which has really made me love it, my only gripe now is that it goes through batteries fast, though im hopeful the charger i ordered will improve this (currently im rotating batteries between tm and xmax to charge over usb c since the tinymight charger didnt seem to charge batteries at all)
Mt TM has a domed screen in the heating chamber. The funny looking stem has a bucket screen. The two WPA adapters have glass internal screens.

Is there any reason to put a second screen in the heating chamber in the interest of keeping it clean?

Not sure what you mean by heating chamber, the screen that protects the heater is flat. Maybe you're referring to the "bowl" end of the stem?

The funny looking stem, I assume that's the spiked cooling stem? That accepts a proprietary basket screen. This screen can be used in other stems I believe, I don't have one.

The glass internal screens can take the rimless basket screen on top if using a finer grind.

When I used the stock cu I used to use the rimless basket screen as well, but it's not necessary. Now I use my own cu I have to use the rimless screen.

I think some people have added a screen to keep the cooling unit clean longer, but I don't. I rotate three stems, and haven't needed to clean any of them yet. I also think someone fashioned a basket screen and put that in the stem after the herb (so cooling unit, herb and then basket screen) to make the ABV more uniform -- something about laminar flow of the hot air. I haven't tried that either, because someone else pointed out (correctly in my view) that not stirring and then just gently blowing out the spent puck increases the enjoyment of the device. It results in less time fussing with the herb, and I am using it with fairly small amounts, so if some of my ABV isn't brown I can live with that (I get a dark black circle at level 8). Presumably the ABV will just be that more potent if I ever use it for something. And to me, the less I need to fiddle with stuff, the better (i.e. adding extra screens each time I load a stem, stirring half way through a session and making a mess).

I just use 2 Upline Tasters with added screens and the stock mouthpiece and cooling unit in rotation. I'll load all three stems, vape using one of them, blow out the spent ABV puck when I'm done and insert the next stem with fresh herb. Easy peasy.

To davidtb re: price, it is at the higher end in terms of price. But one thing I really like is that the hot vapor and herb are not in or going through the device, they are held in/travel through the glass stem. So the actual device isn't getting smelly and gunked up, which is nice by itself, but also should help longevity and greatly reduce the need to clean anything more challenging than a glass stem. So the great flavor should be repeatable for years to come with no drop off in taste, and with a removable battery you should be able to get years of enjoyment out of it.

this is what i meant, the domed screen under the herb to prevent any from falling out into the vape itself, i also read somewhere that it helps vape it more evenly but either way, this makes stirring and reusing less messy
not sure about bucket screens, dont think i got any

Never found a need to add additional screens, unless your weed is super dry? Straw suck the bud in, blow out the spent load\plug, repeat. If a crumb finds its way down to the bottom screen... well that’s what a brush is for, as well as how easy it is to remove and clean both the inner metal sleeve/tube and bottom screen. I played with the various hacks, but in the end... simple is best...

You need to use the cable that comes with the TM, or another high quality cable capable of 2a, you also need a charger that's capable of supplying 2a.
i was using the cable that came with it in a 1.2-2a wall plug from a phone, but after leaving it plugged in for a whole day the light never turned off and it still wouldnt even turn on properly, thats why ive started charging batteries in my xmax instead which works just fine

So that dome screen is what we mean, also called bucket screen, cup screen, basket screen... I think it is better to put it in front of the herbs, fill the basket, I take the first hit upside down, at least the start of it, after the heat is through it the herb stays seated in the basket pretty securely and is sucked back in every time you take a hit... I do not like putting a screen behind the herbs because it is then tedious to take it out and unload, also tedious to then reload, I never stir either... Been a very long time since I've used the cooling unit though! Mostly using 18mm stems in hooks and rigs etc...

All true... but I still don’t ADD any additional screens. The one in the CU works fine. When I first started with my TM, my OCD led me to add a screen right on top of the CU screen. I believed it would keep things like the CU cleaner, but it’s the opposite.

I began to wonder why my airflow seemed to decrease so quickly, suspected the CU was getting clogged up, but it was happening way too soon. Upon closeup examination, I could see a thin layer of resin developing quickly on my EXTRA ADDED screen, which was definitely killing the airflow. That’s when I realized that screens certainly have their place, but adding extra in the wrong situation and placement can be counter productive. Anyone can confirm this if observant.

I am thinking of buying the tinymight. Tried to contact the company info email and my mail bounced back. This doesn't give me a lot of confidence. I don't want to purchase one and find there is no stock available. Basically I am asking if this company has their act together, or should I look at other options?

Yeah I don't know, sometimes that can be the case, it's been a long time, but when I was using mine it improved the airflow when I had the extra screen, it was actually keeping the other screen cleaner for me, helping my load heat a bit better, for me and my needs, I used it without the extra screen for a bit at first when I got it, then I added the screen... But yeah now I'm just using different type of basket screens, in plain glass WPA through other glass, so it's pretty different!

Are you sure you were at the right website? The correct email? I don't know why it would bounce back, but I also wouldn't necessarily expect a response, what type of email were you sending, just to ask if they were in stock? There is a language barrier, but stock goes in and out, I wouldn't worry about that, I'm not sure if they are currently in stock but they have not really been out of stock for an extended period of time in a long time... Most people order and receive it in under 2 weeks.

i dont mind tedious, im coming from a dynavap so just pulling one little screen out to stir or reload is nothing

not sure i would mind tighter airflow either for that same reason

i am curious about getting other stems and trying out different cooling solutions, but it seems like you can only buy that stuff in america, even the grav stems everyone seems to use the only place i can get them is ebay imported from america for ~$60

Yeah everyone has their own preferences and there are so many different ways to use this vape, another way it is awesome!

Grav stems do not appeal to me honestly... RBT Splinter stems backwards are what I use as plain glass WPA for 18 mm, perhaps those can be fine with shipping to Europe still somewhere??

Maybe you can contact Nicholas, the French stem maker for TM, I think he had a website for Europe, and America we had been waiting for Amazon listings that never went up I don't think...

If you search maybe you can find, there were other threads, maybe even within this thread, with links to other type of stem options for people in Europe and such... But I think the best bet is to go with a WPA and then you can get any standard glass, from anywhere, like DHgate, that's why I always say get all the WPA options from TM to try as well!

I am not using the cooling unit. Just the WPA. It has a class "screen". I don't think there is room for one.

Does TM not sell the other TM anymore? The 18 mm that does not have the glass screen and can fit the cooling unit? Either way a basket screen should still fit in front of the glass screen if you want too btw

Since I am at this point pretty much using my large bubbler with my tm upside down manner, probably no need to do anything else.

If I start using the TM dedicated bubbler right side up.. maybe I will try something if necessary.

Oh yeah no I was talking about just using the screen in general to hold the herbs on the one side, not putting the screen on top of the herbs after, that I never do, sorry for the confusion! I always use my TM upside down pretty much except I have a female glass cooler where I use it standing up really...

I was saying you could try getting a WPA that just not have the glass screen, or using a basket screen in front of your glass screen, I don't know how you are grinding your herbs, but for a finer medium grind I prefer to use a screen, so that's most of the time.

It is worth skimming through the thread to find more stem and vapor path ideas!

Thanks for the reply. Pretty sure it was the right one, tinymightvape.com, and I emailed their admin email (twice just to make sure I had the right one).
A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its

It was an enquiry about shipping, as I live on the other side of the world. I like to at least be able to contact a company if I am making a purchase like this. I don't think it's too much to expect.

@green68beetle I'm not sure exactly what the email is, but I don't think that is the one I have seen shared here that people have used... Yeah that's the approach I would take when buying something from untested sellers, which I don't think this is, we'll see if you can get a response that way!
