That's the thing about convection, it doesn't. It won't cook your herb unless you take a hit.

it only cooks the herb when you inhale.
Not true with this device as heat rises it slowly cooks the load, I posted pics of results a while back...brown ABV with no puffs from 1x6 min sesh mode on high temp. :2c:

Hi how is the comparison to a Mighty? Does the Mighty taste better/have bigger clouds or can the V3 hang? :D

No hangy, but you can get 4 V3Pros for the price of a Mighty and better battery life.:hmm:
Yeah that makes sense. Money is not really an issue for me though. I was mainly interested because the on demand convection.
So a Mighty is in another league?

Yes. 2x the bowl, 2x the battery, both convection and conduction, 4x the price. Different animal.

There is only 2 cheap on-demand vapes unless you go 510, the Go and V3Pro
Money is not really an issue for me though.
I’d look at the TinyMight, but the V3Pro is more convenient package.

Best I can do.:leaf:

Volute of Vapor
Hi FC, one of our V3Pro customer posted here and in Reddit VaporEnts/XmaxVape about an "issue" he noticed, he was afraid the airpath wasn't isolated from battery/electronics, here the response after talking with engineers:

Thanks for your support on XMAX and give us your feedback on XMAX V3 PRO.
1. The air-path is designed totally isolated from battery and/or electrics. All materials around heating chamber are environmentally friendly and odorless.
2. If the air inlet is blocked off and the air is blown vigorously, the internal airtight structural parts will be affected or offset by the atmospheric pressure and caused a little bit air leak. This is a normal situation. Because this device are assembled with several different material parts.
3. Without blocking the main airflow vent, the airflow will only pass through the main air-path.
Hope every XMAX fans will keep enjoying XMAX V3 PRO and share with us your experience. Topgreen team will always focus on the product quality firstly.

If the air intakes are uncovered, the buttons do not move.
Thank you for noticing that simple fact, air will follow the less resistance path... yes the V3Pro isn't a (yellow) submarine:lol:
The maker replied to the guys post and said the unit is defective, maybe a entire lot/batch shares this issue?
That was the fast reply I did before to speak with our engineers, unit(s) isn't defective at all, just not designed to blow in with air inlets covered, no worry.
Got a V3 today and I've got a couple questions for y'all fellow V3 owners!

So for Session Mode, how many puffs do you usually take as the timer goes down? I feel like I need to nurse it a bit or else I'm wasting the stuff being vaporized off the bud. Like, it's going either way so I gotta catch as much as I can lol 😂 .

In reference to that actually... okay this is gonna get confusing bc its terminology is the same but how many Sessions do you usually do in one session? Or how many times do you press Session Mode during your average smoke session?

Also, purely as a holdover from when I used oils and the "vape lyfe" attitude surrounding it, how thick can you get the clouds on it? Have you noticed thicker clouds on Session or On Demand mode? For me it feels like I get a really big Burst of clouds from the first point it heats up and then it slowly gets less as the Session Mode session continues. Have you noticed that happen too?
I think you already got nice replies, I'm here only to add my two cents... With a loosely packed half bowl you can expect 5-6 hits, long, slow and deep hits. Unit have heating cycles, a session is the duration you need to vape a bowl. Cycles length may be adjusted (2, 4 or 6 mn), so it depends... Your last question... yes it's normal, when you start to vaporize a bowl the flowers are full of resin ready to be vaporized, after some time (hits) there is less goodies... so this is means less vapor, yes it's normal imho!
I just recieved mine yesterday from POTV and buttons don't move when I either take a drag or gently puff into the mouthpiece with the intakes closed off (thumb and forefinger). In fact, I get no drag at all 🙃. Makes it easy to flutter the intake like on a dyna. Oh, and my "you hit temp" buzzer works in both modes.
Thank you for purchasing the V3Pro, and thank you for sharing!
Really decent cloudage for a single cell portable. Remember, once you get your technique down it's all down to energy and the heater. No real difference between on demand and session if you're talking about the same amount of time vaped because, as you've seen, vapor decreases as you proceed through your session.

I think he was asking if the V3Pro was cooking the load between hits. If you take 1 hit every 6mn it's better to use On-Demand mode, isn't it? I stop joking, did you noticed the entire load was browned or only the bottom? Thank you for noticing that "slow cooking", that's why the OD mode is for, to avoid that issue!
The magnet popped off the mouthpiece today, what were the diy? Ive tried to wedge something in there for now, hopefully the other stays in place
Hi, sorry for the inconvenience, we noticed that issue and trying to fix it. Some guys used glue, I can't say which one though... if you are unable to put it back in place or if you don't want to do it you can contact your retailer's support team.

I've had some luck with non-toxic white school glue. It adds just enough friction to keep the magnets from coming out; for now. I did my magnets a few days ago, and so far, no troubles.

Use very sparingly, just enough to over the sides where the magnet sits. Insert magnet, wipe excess, let cure a full 24 hours. After curing, use a scalpel to get rid of any excess. Your mileage may vary.......

@LesPlenty, the screen in my standard mp is is a plate with holes, not a woven screen like your picture shows.
Huh? and the cooling unit is the ceramic thing -- so I'm confused by your photo and description.
But nice videos!

I believe he’s using a Dave ti mesh vapcap screen.
Could be that, but he said og cu screen.
(idk vapcap screens, but I believe they may be the same size as Dave sells for Go?)
I've got some parts out on my table...

I think Les may have removed the screen from a V3 std mp -- removed it from it's own metal housing -- and he's kept that metal housing, fitted the dynavap/Go screen, OR the screen-only, removed from its' fitting in the wpa adapter.
So he's got the metal holder tube from the std mp, housing the screen from the wpa? maybe?

But I can't seem to remove the std screen from its' housing -- is it all one piece?...so I'm not able to confirm.

Guess we'll wait for Les to wake up...

As I read about changing screens and otherwise tweaking the XMax V3 Pro, it reminds me of a stage I went through in the early parts of my career. I had this idea that if something was good, it could, should, and would be tweaked as much as possible.

This was going back sometime, but I was using a Linux MTA called sendmail. Sendmail is simply a program that sends email. I decided to start tweaking the sendmail config. The end result was breaking sendmail. The wisdom imparted to me by more experienced tech was "don't f*ck with sendmail, and sendmail won't fuck with you".

Now some 25+ years later is that somethings are easier tweaked than others, and in reality, most things work best as designed. Yep, now I am part of the overly conservative, grey haired progress haters.

The other thing I have discovered, is that there is value in learning how to use things in new ways. As of late, I have been spending time with my Solo II discovering everything it can do, and it has been an enjoyable journey. I'm sure that each of the vapes in my collection has a unique value and unique place. There is no right or wrong here, just multiple paths all heading in a similar direction.

Just some thoughts.................

He posted this before.
That is the first time I have seen someone trying to restrict airflow in a vape...easier to just draw slower plus I like to pull really hard and fast toward the end of a sesh to get an even roast without having to stir...but as long as you enjoy it, that is all that matters.
I have actually made the airflow a bit freer by swapping the disc filter in the CU to a @DDave VapCap Ti screen,

Thanks for the replies on my last post here y'all! Unfortunately I'm having another small quandary. Mainly how the heck do I get this dang mouthpiece open to clean it? I see all these people doing stuff like replacing the filter and stuff and the instruction manual is no help at all.

Speaking of which, how often should I do a deep clean with alcohol and everything? Also are the alcohol pads packaged with the device safe to use around the heating chamber or should I only use them on the mouthpiece?

The silicone/rubber part of the mouthpiece simply pulls out. You might need a knife or similar to pry it out the first time. Once the rubber thing is out, there is a small metal filter thing, and a glass-type straw. After everything is out, toss in a ziplock with alcohol, shake, and dry.

Getting the mp apart is very easy, remove the SS filter then pull on the silicone filter hole to pop it out silicone, now you see nasty. You can pull out the ceramic cu then wipe everything with the alcohol pads or throw everything except the silicone in alcohol to clean. Wipe the silicone with iso(don’t soak) then water. Easy peasy.

Changed the plate with holes filter with DDave Ti mesh as explained, easier maintenance and better airflow.

Nope, Xmax have seen the light and the new glass accessories both have wire mesh screens instead of the OG 'plate with holes'
how often should I do a deep clean with alcohol
I clean mine when I hear bubbling reclaim in the OG mouthpiece and the glass gets done when it looks bad!

Anybody know any good batteries to replace with the V3 pro or is the one it comes included with just fine?
I'm a little underwhelmed in terms of battery life but it could just be me being used to an oil vape in a purely on demand context. I can take a good 10-20 drags on a Yocan Uni Pro before the battery goes down a notch on the OLED display whereas with the V3 pro it feels like I do one session and it's already down about 20-25%. Is that normal or is that a sign that I should replace the battery? If so, with what?

What side should I get at it from? I see that it has a little arrow on it pointing up toward the scoop end but for the life of me I just cannot get the rubber bit out! I feel like I need a visualization but it seems like anytime I search up how to clean the V3 Pro I get tutorials for the dang Starry model! I swear the universe is trying to tempt me into getting that Starry... *leers at an open POTV tab* lol 😂
