Yeah I have been keeping it pretty light, 8.75 watts is like the max where it kind of starts to get pretty dark, but only after heat soak between hits, the heat can really build if you let it sit, so that first hit back can roast the center if you're not careful, but when you are on the lower side of 8 watts it makes for some perfect hits, quick thick flavorful vapor without darkening the herb too much, settling into using 6.8-7.3v as my milk safety zone, with the TAG bowl in particular (can reasonably microdose with it too)

PXL-20210917-224902799.jpg

^this is some blue dream og after three hits at same settings (the values dance around btw was set for 7.11v) with several minutes in between, like more than ten even maybe was not tracking... Could have got another hit, but flavor was gone so no need for me!

I can see being drawn into that color…it’s eye catching to say the least. I am leaning towards the simple percs with minimal holes. Seems to keep taste up longer. Well I went into twilight zone for a sec but all good now

Yeah I had been needing some bright orange in my collection, already have a lot of blue and purple lol plus more still to come!

Yeah I've got a whole mix now, so much variety in perc and other aspects of the piece... I don't really want too much diffusion either normally since I love the flavor, but I want a nice smooth pull and visible chamber to fill typically... Love colors and heady shit!

Halo is the type of vape that makes you want to try a wide variety of glass again, the inline honeycomb was always my go-to for so long because of how reliable it was back in the day with LSV and Underdog then my Heat Islands, Zions and Splinters, Tetra and Tinymight... Torch powered vapes, you name it that rig can handle it, even dabs well! However it is a little more boring with the Halo or rather I just have more interesting and unique, new pieces now? There are pros and cons to each one though really??

Seriously that would check out my, and others', antics over in the cheap glass thread not to get too off topic here ;):brow::rockon:

So, I just got the Halo and the Atlas today... and It has been a great day but I'm about to crash soon. Both of these values were really outstanding vapes. In the several hours that we used them today Halo really won me over with its lower temperature. fast heat-up time, and great flavor. I think after dialed in I may be able to achieve the same with atlas but I will post tomorrow. I also got some handles and tools and I have to say all of the work is simply outstanding. Tomorrow I'll post some od my own thoughts and pics.

Very nice piece! Unfortunately the glass is all roughed up everywhere, dark green markings on top of the glass, I think from the creation process, like they need to flame polish or anneal more I guess? It's primarily the base, I'll try to take a close-up picture later, the mouthpiece a bit as well and some other parts... I let them know the feedback for the future, but the function is on point! its here

Had to be away from Halo for a week and the reunion is sweet, along with a new glass^ piece that is working very well with it so far after one bowl at 7.34v that was three hits...

Hoping to have current batch done this weekend. Plan to be open for next batch at a time I haven’t decided on Oct 8th. First come first serve. I will message some people from the list that had been waiting for a bit. To be honest the list is hard to go through and round up enough for a full batch at one time. If you were added to the list and are still interested please message me I must have given up on the list before your name came up.

I need to post more, but there's not so much to say, it just works so well! Justifying my increasing glass collection, more details on this aquatic rig in the cheap glass thread, there's a honeycomb screen bowl that sort of seals with the halo, a little tricky but I was able to do it successfully too... However I am mostly just using the TAG bowl! Also I was using that green fountain recycler like all week... And I'm still working the orange GooRoo in a lot as well, really great to have a big piece like this with Halo (and I'm sure Atlas as soon as I can get one!) though smaller pieces are really fun too, the variety is just so much fun clearly :freak:

Hey every one. The current batch is nearing the wrap up phase I have been planning on how I want to go forward with my ordering process and trying to segue into the next orders better . To be honest I don’t like the batch method, this was the first time trying it and I don’t think it’s for me. This Sunday at 7 central I will be opening for orders and switching back to commission based list with my handles and accessories included in the list. I will have ETA for first order Sunday before I open for orders. I am dropping buckeye from the lineup due to its source ability. I am adding two different species and removing buckeye I will have more info on that tomorrow night. The price on the kit went up by $10 to get better quality. With atlas I am now offering a ruby upgrade at $60 for 13-14 grams.

There were some people waiting for me to open and I said I would reach back out to. Tomorrow night I will really try to reach out to you and touch base with you. Please reach out to me if any of you see this. Thank you every one for this opportunity. I really mean it. I fn love this shit and I’m glad to be able to make stuff for this community.
Sunday before I open I will have an eta estimate for first order I take that day.

I saw iDB's post about the modest ten dollar bump for materials. What are the Halo and Atlas going to cost tomorrow? You buy the head piece, injector, and the handle as a kit and then use a vv power supply and that's it? Or is it a glass beads assemble yourself thing too? I've only seen the two most recent YouTube clips and I'm fuzzy on the details, thanks

All my vapes come as plug and play not DiY kits ❤️. Except burn off even though I clean I still advise safety first. The kit is VVPS and TAG glass bowls the stand is nothing to write home about and that’s why it just comes with it. Last one were walnut with chanel cut in it. Newer ones are walnut or whatever woods I have with dowels positioned on it to keep the vape upright instead of a chanel. I have plans to offer nice exotic wood stands in the future but that’s not a main priority right now.

The handle and the headpiece are connected, separate handles are only for use with other vapes, the halo and the atlas come as one complete vape, you get the bowl and the stand, and the VVPS (bowl and VVPS I think are optional to remove $10 each) This is like buying a log basically, with a bowl instead of a stem, plus stand...

is there somewhere to find the prices for both of the vape models you are offering?

It was mentioned, I think they were already $250 each, so if it's another $10 you're talking about $260 max I think? Maybe just think like it's under 275 shipped probably

Honestly, at < 300usd I want one. > 300usd I want one but it goes into VAS status. I mean, a HLT is probably close to 200usd once you get it set up, but it has a kinda utilitarian look. I think I've spent 300usd + on my (still in pieces) Glass Symphany, I hope to looks like a mad scientist. From what I've seen here, this is just plain old beautiful. I'm interested.

I hit you up on IG (under a different name) saying I’d be waiting for the Heady Atlas, but after rereading through this thread, I think I’m gonna have to try this Halo thing out. Wether I make it on this batch or some other, I’m in.

Yeah! Just get an order in, I confirm Halo is the real deal... I've really been relying on it, honestly! Got a new scoop for it from rogue wax works (non magnetic cept the tamp) pretty perfect... And the orange GooRoo 3piece is still an easy favorite so far!

Halo just the vape is $225. The kit at $255 which includes an 18 female to 14 male adapter and a 5a 12v Vvps. The glass is actually handmade by an artist with airports placed on them and flame polished. In direct airpath there is SS mesh, ruby, and heating element. Out of airpath .The socket I actually assembled myself also which is ceramic with gold plated connectors and wiring. The socket and wiring in almost all the chamber is behind SS . Comes with a stand that’s nothing special and subject to change at any time.

No affiliation with REFC

Woods that are being used are
Ebony
olive wood
Camphor Burl -*using for atlas mainly, camphor has an oil that is mentholated that goes away, I could not smell or taste it with an atlas but with heater covers being so close to air ports it could become noticeable, I will try myself at some point because man it’s so beautiful*
Jobillo- Cocobolo
And Padauk.

I’d be down to test out a Halo made from the Camphor Burl. That stuff is gnarly!

Edit: Looks like I’ll be getting the burl. Congrats @iDRINKBLEACH

So I got my Halo in this last Friday, and in short I am in love with it lol. This is easily one of the top tier vapes in my collection for both flavor and efficiency, and after more testing I could see it becoming the best once I figure out my preferred settings for everything. Just off the bat though the efficiency is great, feels like I'm getting the most out of my bowls if that makes sense haha. What I love about it so far too is that it is so versatile, if I rip it at 9v I can whitewall whatever piece I want, if I run it lower I can get rips so terpy it kinda burns my nose lol.

Not to mention that it is just a beautiful vape as you can see below. Like @Shit Snacks said, this thing is the real deal.

Well I knocked over my GooRoo orange three-piece after all, fortunately the rest is so thick it was fine, but the mouthpiece joint shattered up real good :doh::cry:

Maybe I can find someone to repair it someday, add it to my pile of other broken glass parts... Called and they only have the clear ones in stock right now, I actually am interested in one of those maybe because they are different, but anyway they are waiting for more joints to come so they can make more mouthpieces, and color ones, they may even have some new colors... I'm going to follow up with them near the end of the week by email to see what's available, hopefully maybe I can get one without logos, maybe I can get that aqua blue with orange too, or something else completely new!

Mine was pretty bent, compared to a lot of the other ones I see, hopefully I can find one like that, although I would like to try the more straight and perhaps shorter ones possibly, closer to the clear? Hmm...

Anyway the lesson is always remove the mouthpiece when not in use, honestly I was doing that at first, and then I started to get lazy thinking oh why bother it'll be fine and the table is full of other stuff, but now I know to always do it... I mean I could have knocked it over anyway even without the mp, I was moving some pillows around, not a usual thing, while doing a video chat lol

Not a typical occurrence for me to break a piece of glass really, and this has become a go-to piece for the Halo, at least I have some other mouthpieces to work with, this one is pretty cool to visualize what's going on, but I got accustomed to the tall color's comfort, and will be back up soon enough I guess!

PXL-20211018-065626027.jpg

I do also like to use it through my aquatic rig, though it fogs it quick, Halo is in fact really nice through recyclers however! Love it with the above green fountain recycler that makes a great cyclone vortex... I also have a couple other recyclers that arrived last week, one is a tall RBR that is okay, the other is a small inline to pillar that works well with a smaller mouthpiece and has multicolored with silver fuming so it's just good fun lol

PXL-20211013-060435241.jpg

Exciting to see more Halo in the wild, and more on the way... Big stuff to come!
