Give it a nice long heat soak. I'd start at 11V which after it's best soaked should drop to 10V, at least that's been my experience. Both my OAB and VB are at 10.2/10.3V after sitting for an hour and I like the results.

----------------------------------------------------

I really like my Lamart whip but I would never recommend one for the VB/OAB, there's way to much draw resistance introduced imo. Also I'd want the length longer personally.

I can see what u mean about the reduced draw resistance but I would recommend everyone who owns a “standard size” silicone whip to at least give it a try - like I said a few pages back, variety is 🔑 in some ways I think I prefer the tighter draw. Won’t be for everyone though, that’s for sure!

The new OAB Black/blue Cobblestone arrived. It's beautiful, viewing it on the site, I wasn't quite positive what the splotches looked like in person. But wow, it's a gorgeous gold and a lighter blue. The white pops more in the pictures, the contrast is unreal! Definitely much smaller than the original design but with the ball fitted on top, I can't wait to see the results. Heat sinking now at 10.2, hopefully, be in use in the next 10 minutes. Once again, @Jaxel and Collyland killed it!

Wow - what a beauty! I love that glaze - enjoy it!

edit - just to add on about varying voltages - of the two classics that I owned, both were vastly different in ideal voltage. One of them would combust over 10.8v and the other wouldn’t hit well until at least 11.0v but could go much higher. My OAB seems to be best around 11.0-11.2, so just remember to take any voltage recommendation with a grain of salt, and experiment for yourself! Also keep in mind that your ambient temperature/environment plays a significant factor as well - I noticed a 0.2-0.3v swing between winter and summer here!

You are spot on. I initially hit it at 10.2, turned it up to 11(Had to add the Spinal Tap reference). Perfect setting. The OAB being smaller, really surprised me with the punch. I also feel like I got lucky on temp settings. 😂 😂

You want an almost fool proof seal every time?
Put raw honey on the downstem lip, smear a little
on the bottom of the sacred nut, and the seal is like
an airlock.
And yes my erstwhile vapor compatriots, I licked
the honey right off the warm sacred nut.
I just tried this a moment ago, after weeks of
eye balling, and so far it has exceeded my
expectations! Huge clouds!
Took me 10 minutes to type this! LOL
OMG that is amazing. Wild but I'm down to give it a go. Best deal hacks would def be a great direction for this thread to go.

Is this a...what day is this?
Had some friends over for the holiday weekend...perfect opportunity to break out the Vapbong!

Loaded up a large bowl, got everyone nice & toasty, including many who didn't think vaporizing was strong enough for them...Vapbong quickly changed their minds. Makes for a great party vape, since once I got it loaded up, everyone else just had to inhale to use; couldn't be easier for newer users.

I meant to pick up some larger high temp food grade silicone training from a local brewing store this weekend for that very purpose. I'll have to wrap it though to give it some class. I agree variety is key and a whip can be a nice change.

Just got my OAB today. I started at 10v and wow the vape signature is strong with this one. Is it normal for the VVPS to get very warm and have a distinct warm electronics smell? I have a Versa Infinity that uses a VVPS, but don’t recall it getting quite this warm.

Yeah the VVPS do get warm, be mindful of where you keep it in use, they are not the nicest vvps, but they're cheap and effective!

I'm sure it's been on this thread somewhere. Too lazy to search (sorry @Shit Snacks ). Anyhoo, probably not news to many. But, it's a good tip to repeat:

ICE! Yep, we've all done ice bongs. This baby is no different. Try it. Don't let the fact that you "can't see it" slow you down. Just drop ice cubes into the empty VB until no more room. The filtering is mehh at first. But, the cool hits and open airflow are fun, and as the ice melts and the chug starts and grows its pretty cool.

I have the original. I imagine it would be a bit more challenging with the small neck of the OAB. But, if there is a Sonic drive-in restaurant near you, get the ice from them. They sell it in bags. Seriously, the fast food joint Sonic sells their own bagged ice. It's that special. I usually just tip the car hop generously and ask for a large cup of ice. It's this tiny miracle ice (hard to explain) that is AMAZING in the Aromatizer. Highly suggested.

I drain the melted water and keep refilling with Sonic ice for a chill evening. Get it? Chill evening, Eh? Get it? As in ice is chilly? Really? Nothing? <<cricket cricket>> Sigh. Well, this is a cold crowd.

Don't worry this is a new idea I have not seen shared here yet! And it sounds wonderful

High Folks, here are a few pics of the latest arrivals. I have some fun testing runs planned for these two. The puck on the Berserker is HUGE. But it is cone shaped and is no larger than the screen at the bottom. I will keep the loads normal in testing but that won’t last long. I bet it would hold an eighth of flower, just don’t know how you would survive it! I will test using some 6 month cured, well named Amnesia so I may not remember any of this.

Shoot!

I had been patiently awaiting my pagoda green OAB - I’ve seen other people posting that theirs was shipped/delivered but I didn’t want to make waiting worse by checking the website. Just went in this afternoon and looks like somehow my order is canceled :uhoh: didn’t get an email or anything so I had no idea!

I’m sure collyland will make it right, but worth checking if anyone else is still waiting too!

Thanks for the heads up. Just checked and the same thing happened to my order. Just emailed collyland about it.

Oab and vb have landed at vgoodiez

They had 10 incoming (3x OAB Obsidian,1x OAB PlumJelly,1x VB Aventurin,1x VB Oriental Orange,4x VB Plumjelly) so those went fast. I contacted them at the end of May after realizing I didn't want to deal with the money transfer rigmarole and the fees my USA based bank wanted, Scott was kind enough to get ahold of me when they were in route so I could purchase and reserve an Aromatizer ;) of my liking. I will be in possession of a OAB Obsidian this Saturday, finally.

LOL....I'm ready

Sorry guys ! We had 2 orders that have not been processed due to a software issue. Well... in the end it´s an human issue
You will still receive cardboxes with our old name printed on it! We are working on a completely new packing with foam inlay but it´s still in progress, so temporarily we are using the old boxes. Felix even had some wooden boxes left but they are all gone now.

Man - is this company the best, or what?!

Not that I had any doubts, but Daniel has already corrected my issue and I’ve received tracking already. Looks like I should receive my pagoda green by next Thursday if all goes well!

Thanks as always to Daniel and everyone at Collyland. I’ve had nothing but absolutely amazing experiences dealing with them (and their product ain’t half bad :brow:)

To all who are unsure - have no doubts about the integrity and quality of this company!

Safe arrival of a Celestial blue OAB. It is smaller than I imagined, (how small are the minis?) but really nice comfortable size with such weight in the base I can't see how you'd knock it over.
It is quite different with such wide open airflow, amazing zero resistance pulls. I find it impossible to do long slow draws and haven't been able to go more than 8 or 10 seconds before my lungs are over capacity. Luckily the clouds come so thick and fast that 6 or 7 secs is plenty. This aspect will take some getting used to but makes it different from other heavy hitters I own, so that is a good thing.
Any who prefer dry like me, can be assured a nice smooth cool hit, no need for water. I am not a fan of the hits with a huge bowl, taste gets toasty/roasty after 3 or 4 hits. But the screen depression is perfect size for my normal load size, 2 hits- shake, 2 hits dump. Really enjoying the ritual, nut locks in sweetly and so easy to shake the nut to stir, then tap and it just falls back over the screen.
I have fuzzy bath mats on the desktop and the floor underneath to avoid breakage. I hope it will be a long friendship.

That is a lovely one my dude! Glad it arrived safely, yeah that's how I feel about the short draws, maybe with the standard along slow draw works better... I was out of practice the last time used to the bandits! :luv:

Received my Celestial Blue Bandit early in the week, but did not feel well enough to clean and fire her up until last night. It's a hefty and nice looking piece signed by Jaxel, nice touch. Right, wrong or indifferent I set the heater to 9.75 and let her sit for almost an hour, loaded a NV Scoop of sativa (Legal state) and took a rip. I'm used to a pretty good chug with my glass, with the Bandit it's more of a gurgle and far more free flowing. First draw was maybe 5-6 seconds and more vapor than I would get with a larger glass rig thanks to the free flow <cough, cough, cough> great effects! I continued to hit that bowl leaving it in place. I've not read this entire thread as I usually do before a purchase, too many folks here I know and respect from years here, but damn the bowl gets hot if left in place too long! I suspect there are use tips here I need to find. I was also surprised how hot the heater gets as I felt ceramic was a better insulator. I've got a nice routine with my NewVape FlowerPot Showerhead, so will be a little difficult to break away from that. The cleaning is not as straight forward with the Bandit so time will tell where she falls in my rotation.

Awesome dude!

Haha yeah I removed the bowl to clear each hit, stir, then let it sit on my table next to the bandit until I'm ready for my next hit... Also do not leave the bowl on when it is heating up for an hour first time especially! And finally don't leave the bowl on, for extended periods of time without use, with water loaded but nothing in the chamber, like I only keep my ball bowl on the bandit long term sitting when I don't have any water in there with it basically (this is paranoia precaution for any evaporated water not to be able to go over the heating element)

Anyway you can certainly use it, leaving the bowl on, just taking hits that way, without clearing, certainly see Jaxel hit it that way all the time, for me personally I just could never, I have to clear each hit properly fully by removing the bowl!

I was also surprised how hot the heater gets as I felt ceramic was a better insulator. I've got a nice routine with my NewVape FlowerPot Showerhead, so will be a little difficult to break away from that.

Oh, the ceramic is not to insulate the heater, that is all the entire heating sphere, the center core heating element is of course the hottest, but the ceramic around it is not to insulate, but rather also become the heater after an hour of heat soaking... That is why the vapor is so thick and impressive here! So yeah never touch that heater sphere once warmed up

The cleaning is not as straight forward with the Bandit so time will tell where she falls in my rotation.

For cleaning, it is actually pretty simple, you can just rinse with hot water, cover the heater sphere and cord with plastic or something in case of any splash, also apple cider vinegar can be good for cleaning ceramic of bacteria, dish soap can be fine with the hot water, and of course a little iso alcohol (I use that to wipe the downstem first) you could also use a bottle brush if you want to get into the downstem to be sure it's fully clean... Then yeah make sure you have extra screens to swap, those are the things that get dirty clogged quick and need cleaning, the ball bowl itself stays pretty clean, and is also easy to quick clean with hot water or the other stuff mentioned above
