Tetra P80

Shit Snacks

Milaana. Lana. LANA. LANAAAA! (TM2/TP80/BAK/FW9)
Does anyone have issues with the device giving a "Low Battery" indicator at like 30-40% charge? This happens with all my batteries (four VTC6s and four HG2s) so I don't think it's related to the batteries. I do tend to use higher temps so would that have anything to do with it?
It happens with my 4yr old hg2 but not with my fresh p26a. At what percentage should that message pop up with good batteries?

This is normal with these batteries, 30% is nearly dead for you, it is not easy to get to 20% with the tetra as the battery is already at about 3.75v or so at 40% (and 4.2v is 100% btw) Anyway if you want to take it as far as possible, you want batteries with higher amps, like the P26A, both HG2 and VTC6 have lower amp ratings despite the higher mah capacity, so the performance is a bit more consistent for me as I've said.

Interesting. I think the P80 is more demanding on batteries than the TM. Are VTC5 more efficient than the 6 ?

Yeah it's pulling 70 watts, not sure what the TM is but I believe it is slightly lower, and of course the software between them is totally different not to mention the heaters... TP80 you want to heat soak those glass tubes, but every time you draw you are cooling them, so it is just a game for the heating element to keep up... Yes VTC5 have higher amp than VTC6 but less mah capacity like P26A

Wish I could edit my last post now, since it is technically not even on topic lol but anyway here is a good update to my tetra usage:

Just got some larger sized rubies from vgoodiez (these are 4mm and 6mm) since I realized the ones I was using last time (3mm) are really meant for heaters and too small to use for cooling as they restrict the air flow far too much in mini male hook...

Now it is working so well I ordered more!

Good to know. Have to say I'm using the cheap Black Leaf J-Hook more than the Lamart. The BL is bigger so it makes the vapor cooler. So here you mixed 4 and 6mm ?

Yeah a wide vapor path is very nice here, the mini j hook is effective but very narrow path... Yes this is a mix of eight 6mm and four 4mm, inside the male mini j hook, should work fine for the female mini j hook as well though I have not tried with mine yet

thanks again for j-hook inspiration! it's certainly the most fun i've had ripping the tp80... so far! though i will say the RWW 18mm j-hook seems so thin it will break if you look at it the wrong way. the lamart WPA works great as the adapter, and it's a fun contrast against my sixteen year old sherlock...

unrelated question: how to you insert a picture without having the file showing attached or linking to imgur? basically how SS did it above?

Nice! You reminded me, I had plans to try a whole nug with the glass screen WPA, will do so with my Rogue hook soon and report back... Yeah this isn't the thick OGB glass, I think these are just cheap Chinese hooks, he probably ordered a wholesale so he could use them for himself and then just sell them in the shop easily cheap so I grabbed one with my last tool order because why not have a spare like this? And it has been working quite well (except a lot of my 18 mm male are wobbly in it)

So the pictures, you'll want to paste just the BB code (It will be in brackets IMG) which is easy to find using imgbb.com though you have to delete the url brackets there

I looked for smaller waterpiece adapters and the Splinter adapters are really cool. They come with similar baskets but the baskets seem to be a little bigger. They have a direct 18-14 which I prefer over combo adapters.

Got down to 17% with mollicell P26A and no performance issues in my TP80, I had started this bowl of strawberry mimosa thc and strawberry cake cbd at 385f cruise with battery showing 33% so pretty good!

I did not try to use it any further before recharging externally in Nitecore D2, as the cell is already at 3.52v now, good stopping.

Just an update, Lamart/Ralph got in touch with me and I have just about finalised everything. So excited!
I ordered a custom on the last drop in March. I received a confirmation and confirmed the details with Ralph. I then received a build stage confirmation a few weeks later but nothing in well over a month.
I have been patient and finally asked for a status update a week ago and again yesterday.
no response either time. I’m getting concerned...

I am sure that’s true but the fact that he hasn’t communicated for over a month and then even after two emails over several weeks !???
Has anyone else heard from him about a March order??

Slow down champ, everything will be fine.

I'm still waiting on a custom from January. I've also emailed twice without reply. But he seems to work in waves in building sand replies. No concern here at all :)

I ordered my custom p80 on the January 17 drop and received it 2 months later. In the meantime there were a couple emails back and forth ironing out details. The custom build usually takes 6 to 8 weeks IIRC.

I need another Tetra, it deserves a backup. I have zero complaints about the device so far. It eats through batteries, which is no problem though.

Does anyone know of an in-depth-walkthrough through the Tetra software? I found bits and pieces sprinkled through the thread but I would like a nerdy complete manual/review of the settings. Like the ECO levels and such in detailed descriptions.

Well, I can understand that. Don't have a lot of experience, but this one is my fav. I think the TM will be gathering dust. P80's airflow is way more free, and AVB more even.

I'm hesitating between selling it to buy another Tetra or keeping it for outside sessions. I'd prefer to keep the P80 inside, won't be comfy to use it even for a barbecue in my garden.

Only problem I have is its power. Can't do anything after a bowl with these beasts (TM is powerful too), I always finish totally baked...

A different stem will change your Tinymight, my ball stems have less resistance than any of my Tetra P80 stems iirc. I wouldn't take my Tetra out of the house personally, it's too fragile if it takes a fall, plus more bulky. They're both fantastic vapes, I'd argue they're the best 2 portables on the market at least imo.

I don't think so. I use the TM with the same J-Hook as my P80, so the difference comes exclusively from the vaporizers. Don't think I'm underestimating the TM. It's a great vape, and I could happily do with it being my sole one, but the P80 has this little extra thing which makes me take it instead of the TM.
