Oh, really interesting. I need to try this when back home next week. I am using my impcognito quite a lot lately. I use it as much as my P80. I really like enjoy it. I would like to know which settings is she using (I guess she has AF in the Aster?).
Thanks for the link

Before the mod i ran it at around 420F, post mod i run my Impcognito at 440F, same resistance, ect, looking at her post i think she did pretty much the same, but you may have to tweak it a bit.

Cool, thanks. I already have a profile for when I use ice hash on it that is basically more max power (from 35W to 40W) and temperature from 195C to 220C. So I guess that could work too as a starting point.

Read about this restrictor disc mod last night. Threw my Firefly 2+ concentrate pad in the bottom of my chamber, fits and works like a charm. The stem is a little loose since it's not sitting at the very bottom though.

Read about this restrictor disc mod last hour. Threw my S&B concentrate pad in the bottom on my Lotus WPA chamber (compatible with Imp) , fits and works like a charm. I used scissors to cut the concentrate pad, really much better for Lotus usage (guessing for Imp too) .
Much better for small loads in the Lotus WPA. like these high temps!

and the taste.... muuuch betterrrr

I use the glass stem (I haven't tried the mod yet) and I find the taste amazing in TCR.... the only thing is that I stir twice per bowl. I hope the mod gives same results but without stiring

Really tempted to buy some of these DC Gen 2 coils to implement it into the Imp for some nice hybrid heating. The coil has holes in the bottom where I could place a traditional coil. It should work in theory. Thoughts anyone? Hardest part would be finding a way to easily load the herb.

I have an impcognito and I absolutely love it. I was using it with a mod with AF and I really liked it. The last two weeks I have been messing with a DNA mod, which was also good. But the last two days I am using a evic basic with Tubo firmware on it and I find myself looking for the Impcognito more than my Tetra P80. And that alone says a lot....I need to get another one as back up before the shipping ban.

Imp on eVic Primo Mini with short stem. Not the most sexy pairing but portable and stealthy enough.

Hey folks,

I'm thinking about picking up an Imp or Impcognito as my "luxury" portable when I don't need the durability of a metal Dynavap (around town, walking the dog, things like that). I'm not an e cig user, so I don't really know anything about mods, but I'm relatively tech savvy so I don't anticipate having problems flashing firmware and configuring TCR and such. I posted in Ask FC, but figured this thread might have more specific info on a few questions I had:

* Are there any real world differences between the Imp and Impcognito (besides maybe using lower power or temp because the coils are closer on the imp)? I e-mailed Dave @ Mistvape and he mentioned having a few OG Imps that are now listed, so its still an option. If I'm being honest, I prefer the wood available on the smaller size, and ideally I'd like the mod + vape + stem to be relatively pocket friendly so the Impcognito has my attention, but if the Imp has dramatically better vapor I'm open to compromise.

* Any mod recommendations? Ideally I'd like the option to use the Tubo or Arctic Fox firmware--Tubo seems to be the preference skimming this thread, and its what MV recommends if its an option, though Dave did tell me AF works swell. This is complicated by the fact that a lot of them seem to be sold out these days. I've gotten a few recommendations in Ask FC: Wismec Sinuous P80, Joytech Tubo Evic, Eleaf Pico, and the Wismec Reuleaux RX Gen3 Dual. The last one is the only one I can find in stock, but I'm just googling--if anyone can compare any of these or point me to some trusted vendors with good cx I'm all ears! Again, really just want compatibility with Tubo/AF firmware and preferably pocketable (my phone is plenty large though, so my definition of pocketable is really just that I can fit it in a side pocket in a pair of jeans).

I think that really covers it. I'm curious how the Imp family compares to the other top tier portables, but I'm not sure if those kinds of conversations are really welcomed in vape specific threads, so I'll let it be. Thanks in advance for any feedback!

You can't go wrong with any of those options or combos really. The main difference I can tell between the two is the different thermal mass/heat retention because of their different body sizes. It does make a subtle difference in their behavior, ultimately though I would purchase the one you like the look of the most. The bases/coils on the two are identical so they should behave the same there.

https://wismec.us/reuleaux-rx75.html this mod is on sale for $14 for the next 6 hours and works great with AF and the impcognito.

IT's weird. The website shows 14.99, but it's 19.99 in the cart. Still seems like a good deal tho.
