Ed's WoodScents Log Vape - Ed's TnT

Really enjoying my first couple of days with my Woodscents Lite Kit which comes with an Aromalog, a gnarly stem, and a Ti tip.

I was extremely hesitant to pick one up and thought about it for a year but I’m glad I treated myself to one. I’ve only tried my Aromalog with a HydraVonG and a gnarly glass stem both attached to Ti tips.

I love using my Aromalog with a glass stem without a condenser. It’s so easy to just gently puff on and get vapour.

I enjoy my Woodscents so much I’m thinking of selling my induction heater and dynavap. The only thing stopping me is that I get much denser hits with my hydravong through water using my induction heater. I find I get wispy draws with my Woodscents through water. What can I do to get a rich thick draw through water?
Have you put the dimmer switch to 9.5-10?

I can get as big and powerful a cloud with my WS as I ever need.

Loading is important. Best not to overpack the tip, as airflow is vital with the Woodscents. If very finely ground herb, smaller loads may be better at generating bigger clouds.

Keep experimenting and report back. I hope some wiser cuckoos here might chime in with some wisdom....

Thank you for all your help and your wealth of knowledge @Alexis, I do appreciate it!

I’ve been living around 7. I have the new heater but I’ve never tried the old heater, so take that for what it’s worth...I just turned up my WS to 8 which is 650F-660F (I think that’s 10 on the old heater).

Yes I did consider that, assuming you would surely have the new heater.

So I wasn't sure my suggestion to possibly go to max was good advice.
But I figured- what's the worst that can happen lol!

Regardless, I felt the first troubleshoot was basically raising the temperature.
There may be a noticeably bigger difference between 7 and 8, up to 8.5 on the new heater dial, vs 7 to 8 on the original heater.

So you surely just needed more oomph. You should have no trouble generating instant thick vapor, with sufficient heat and a load pack which works, allows airflow and doesn't restrict.

Enjoy I hope!

Turn up the temp a bit. I can get some gnarly ass clouds with it set right. Mine is usually at 10v on the VVPS with the new heater.

That's useful info too. Using the VVPS I can enjoy decent clouds and extraction at 10 V, but I usually soon increase it to 11 or anywhere above.

12 is not really necessary for instance.

I did wonder if the new heater would require less Voltage via a VVPS but had no idea on that.

So I combusted...

Loaded a tip full but loose minus space for the heater. Soaked the heater to a little past 8. Loaded hydravong into beaker and waited ten seconds. Pulled gently and it was great. But then I pulled hard and instant combustion.

Gonna wash the tip and let it dry overnight. Should I do anything to eliminate the smell from the heater?

I live around 11v on the VVPS with the old heater, for dry hits. With water, I'm closer to 12v, and as high as 12.5v. Those levels work well for me. But I've never used the new heater.

When I used the basic dial, I couldn't combust even on 10. The new heater is definitely significantly hotter!

A quick wash with ISO will clean the tip just fine. No need to let it set so long. There will be no smell in the heater unless you happen to blow the wrong way when you choke on the smoke from combusting. Lol

You could also heat soak the load less on the higher temp to avoid charring or heat soak longer on a lower temp setting to thicken up the clouds.

Good old backfire!
Yes IMO WS tip/load pre-heatsoaking isn't necessary at all.

Variables aligned, thick dense vapor is instantaneous.

And interesting is your report of combustion @grogazola rgazola of combusting just past 8. I never came close to combustion myself even on 10. Clearly there is a tight, fine line maximum sweetspot, herb moisture level depenadant, to be found with the newer heater.

Like the pesky cheaky shower lol. One mm right it's cold, half mm back left it's burning my balls haha!

My current lineup consists of the new vape flowerpot weed eater and the dynavap. I just picked up a portable IH for the dynavap, so I am covered there. In order to use the protable device less when I am at home was thinking of getting a plugged IH. Then I see this woodscents lite kit for about 100 bux more than the IH and I'm seriously considering it when the kit goes back in stock.

Does anyone else have a flowerpot and a woodscents? I think I can find a place for the woodscents, but almost seems overkill to have 2 plug-in vapes. The woodscents seems better for microdosing and using dry though. When using a stem directly on the woodscents dry is the vapor hot or does the stem provide enough cooling?

I have both and i love my woodscents....I use the gnarley stem on the woodscents and a bb9 stem and the vapor is cool....i also use it with a glass rig too.

Do you find yourself using the woodscents or the flowerpot more. I do love the flower pot but a heavy hitter is not always approproate.

I have two Woodscents, as well as a Flowerpot, and I use them all.
You most certainly will not regret your purchase!

Well ya'll have me convinced that the woodscents will find a place in the lineup. Now I just have to decide if I want to wait for the lite to come back in stock or go with the full kit. The lite seems like you get a bit nicer wood than the cheapest kit, is that right? I've been on a tear buying vape gear lately so my wallet will thank me for waiting for the lite.

Are you on about the lite kit from sneaky pete ?

These words haunt me lmao...it’s so true with the new heater...

Curious, do I need to turn off my Woodscents with the dimmer? Would it be okay to just set it to my favourite temperature and simply unplug it and plug it back in a few times over the course of a day? Sorry if this is a silly question...

Okay if you mean- cut power without turning the dial down to zero?

Absolutely mate, zero contraindication to that. No need to zero it first basically.

However, by your reports of the thinner margin, just be mindful that the dial can move slightly by itself if knocked- it ain't set in stone lol ("The vaporizer in The Stone" haha.)

So it may even be worth using some kind of marker on the dial, visible line, piece of tack, tape etc.

Just in case the dial is accidentally tapped, back into combustion range.

Wasn't necessary ever for me, no one single combustion event on 10 even.

10 was not necessary either, it would turn my herb very dark brown as could be.

But never combust. Still not needing highest temp personally.

But I do expect, and maybe there has even been some talk of it here, there could be a slight difference in the exact heat level supplied by different units. In that, MY 8 is a slightly different temp to Fred Joe's lol. Possibly. I have certainly observed this characteristic in other top, high class Analoge desktop units.

I think in such a case, maybe a VVPN may equalise things. Not sure on that though.

Gosh...I don't know a lot today do I? Two points as guessy as can be! :)
