Just got an Omni a few days ago. Gotta say, I waited waaaay too long to buy this. It should have been my first VapCap. Love it.

We have the Assassin, the Vortex, the Shellshock - pair an Omni with the new $77 tip and call it "The Gouger".

I can understand your frustration, especially if you're in the EU. Sucks when an actual price is that far out of line with expectations. I wouldn't presume dynavap is having record sales, though. Seems plausible they've fallen short of 2020 projections like many companies this year, right?

I think you gotta drop $19 as an outlier. I don't know the specifics of that deal but the first run of LE 7s were $45. And IMO it's hard to judge prices without a lot of contextual info. How disruptive is this to their regular production schedule? Are they missing out on contract work they might be doing on the side? Opportunity cost and all that. Is this helping offset the cost of other machinery they've purchased? Who knows?

Dynavap does great promotional sales with extras to make its customers feel like they're getting free stuff, but you're still paying for it. It's an awesome, customer-friendly way to promote their brand. I'm almost certain all dynavap's sales are profitable, but some have better margins than others.
What, every other sales site compares all sale prices ever listed, throwing the $19 outlier is just trying to askew the metrics

Aren't many of the freebie programs like the CVap, the KarmaVap, the various Vapcap for a friend deals just marketing programs? In the case of the CVap DV gives away their factory seconds that you give to a friend who then decides to buy a new M?

Yeah, for sure. That's been the point of a lot of this talk surrounding the freebies.

I feel like a senile old man in here, reminising on my very first Dynavap, which didn't even have fins! :myday:

I remember those daze!!! :myday:

Don't know how to embed this. Here's how I use the OG to micro dose through water

Nice vid @invertedisdead! Pretty similar to what I do when cloud chasing through a bubbler. Heat a few secs past the click on the bottom of the cap, start drawing w/ the carb fully closed (crazy restriction!) till I see vapor in the glass & then do that hiccup/gasp mouth to lung thing while removing my finger at the same time (like 1sec ?) & it seems to act just like cherrying a bowl.

That's fair, but I still think referencing a one-time killer deal is somewhat misleading.
I dont think so at all, but if you want to say that it is misleading and that does not askew the #'s then thats all you.

For me, the $19 is even more valid since the price was on the OEM site and not some 3rd party site that was super discounted.

Dynvap "Tea Time" sent me some dank maple chai tea for free the other day, paid shipping and everything. Felt genuine to me. Ive also recieved a karmavap and passed it on to my brother.

Their customer service is one of the best in the biz.

If you own 6 DynaVaps, 8 tips, 10 different stems, ect. please don't complain about high prices. It's the consumerism you enjoy that has created the demand for these products and raises the price. :2c:
Love you! :peace:

I just wish dynavap would make special items and deals available through their retailers.
If your outside of the USA, the tagged on extra charges ie. shipping/tax, plus the chance that customs will seize your goodies, can put a damper ones wallet.

The dynavap items that are available at local retailers over here are well priced, which is three times the awesomeness multiplied by karma five times. :whoa:

Oh, I almost forgot to ask........ has anyone ever started heating their tip without the cap on, before suddenly realizing it was missing?

I'm not asking for myself of course.......I'm....um...asking for a friend! :p

p.s. keep your minds out of the gutter people! Just because I use the word "tip or tips" in this post, doesn't mean you should quote me on the posts taken out of context thread. :spliff:

Yes, I've seen (and been reading on reddit, for instance) that the USPS is still unfortunately seeing a lot of shipping issues - namely items sitting in distribution centers for multiple days in some cases. This is likely due to the holiday rush, staffing shortages, the ongoing pandemic, as well as lingering effects from steps taken by the postmaster general. The scanning isn't always trustworthy either, i.e. I've seen stuff catch up with a bunch of scans the day it's delivered. Hope your stuff starts moving again soon. I've found filing a case/claim can sometimes miraculously cause things to get unstuck, maybe just via murphy's law; but it could be that an inquiry makes them move an item back into the line from a pile it was sitting in. It feels counterproductive to bug them with more work (a case/claim), but they are a business (of sorts) and you're the customer in the end.
Makes sense
Thanks for the info!

AMEN to that (brokerage charges too, for me that is the highest extra charge)

Above you can see the size of the hole drilled through the bolt
Untitled.jpg

I drilled the hole through the lid with a step drill because I had one and they work so well in sheet metal. The nut and bolt is plated steel 1/4 x 20. I'll replace it with an M6 or 14/4 x 20 stainless steel next time I am somewhere I can get one. Not urgent but I expect this will rust eventually. I will also get a joiner nut and set screw to make a screw on cap. The wick is rayon, an unrolled cotton ball should work well too.

Before use I wished for a smaller container. Actually the size is excellent. I put my fist thumb up on the desk and form a v with my thumb nail and index finger. The stem sits there and my other hand rotates the stem.

Heat transfer to the lid is minimal as in only ever warm. However there is still enough heating to slightly pressurize the jar. I just break the seal and it's good, the cap is still engaged just not sealed. I may add a pin hole in the new stainless parts sealed by the cap or maybe a rubberized magnet.

I love this thing, it's all I use since I made it. Cheap clean effective with a nice opium den vibe. :brow: 😍:spliff:

@Planck Love the rustic vibe man! Nice contrast to that sweet looking stem.

Was it hard to drill the hole in the bolt?

Wait! Did I just just say you have a sweet looking stem?

^ This! I am new to the DynaUniverse and purchased the 2020M. I was surprised at the price. I do not doubt the precision and engineering involved in the creation and production of the device. Even so....the price is expensive and the profit margin likely extraordinary. The Omni?....even more so. I do not regret my purchase and enjoy the device. I only wish that I was involved in a business where I created a good quality yet simple product without electronics and at such margins.

tea time is just another marketing tool for the super duper fans ... nearly everything they release online is more or less an infomercial.

their customer service WAS one of the best. it's still good in the sense that it takes patience and determination to get your issue sorted but in the end, after shaming them online, they come through.

demand raises price only because of greed (since supply is limited artificially) and lack of serious competition. it's called price gouging.

People need to get over it before someone gets called Karen. We are potential customers, they are a business. They set the price, we decide whether or not to buy. In this case i do agree $77 is too much for a tip and decided to not purchase. Maybe they get the hint or maybe enough people bought it they won't. This is how life works. We don't have a regulatory agency for vape pricing. :2c: :2c:

Love yourself! :peace:
