Yeah I pissed on the rug...... so what
My mom is back on the vaping wagon and she is a cbd only user. I got her to try my new B3 last night and she was very surprised just how much it affected her. She like me only found the cannatonic we've had until now to just sort of barely helps, while this new stuff to be much better. She thought it was very relaxing and made her quite sleepy 😌 so it was a rousing success 👍 But truth be told I'm not sure how into vaping she really is and she might be better served by the new indica cbd oil I have coming in the mail.

Edit: my mom sleep through the night for the first time in over a month, felt loose enough not to need her cbd salve. She is so pleased with the results she is eager to try it again! Now that we found something that works better for us we can really explore what cbd can do for us. Cbd can be powerful medicine and I'm taking its use in my medical routine less lightly these days.

I've been on cbd only for the past week or so and I'm pretty dam satisfied other then at bedtime when I could use something stronger but during the day I've really been liking it. I accidentally ordered some sativa cbd by mistake but I'm really liking it, good effects and flavour. Now that I've been able to try something other then hybrid I'm more coming around to enjoying cbd. Still got my indica 1:1 for after my break, I've already tried it and like being able to have a bigger bowl, that's something I've missed since getting into micro dosing. I'm enjoying and exploring everything that cbd can do for me, currently I'm trying to replace tobacco with it and I'm also smoking some cbd every so often but unlike thc I don't notice any more intense or stronger effects, perhaps it's cause cbd is gentler by nature. Let the experimenting continue :science:

So what's the consensus - do you build tolerance to CBD like you do THC or what?
not so much ... CBD antagonizes while THC agonizes .. the difference there = THC goes directly into the receptor while CBD sits on the periphery of the receptor effecting change there ( increase of Epoxides and fatty acid binding proteins that metabolize arachidonic acids)
antagonism does not create as much tolerance as an agonist will

Edit - Quote " The cannabinoids (THC and CBD) also were discovered to bind FABPs and this may be one of the mechanisms by which CBD works in childhood epilepsy, raising anandamide levels. " unquote

I have been using CBD for the past 2 years and im pretty sure i have build up some tolerance. SO from 1g/day i stepped up to 1,5g day. Nevertheless when i used to vape THC, my tolerance was much higher and i eventually could have just vape any amount and not be high/stoned. At one moment i just passed out and woke up next morning, but that was about it... cbd works much better if you ask me. I hope we will be allower to use at least 1:1 strains in europe in upcoming years. Btw do you know that EU wants to BAN CBD completelly?

I am still in the process of trying and am totally not convinced CBD by itself is worth it for me as a de-stresser and sleep aid. Basically I don't really feel any different after taking it.

Certainly not paying the insanely exploitative prices that some fucks are charging (same price as illegal full THC extracts). The corporate shills (as exemplifed by Leafly and the rest of that squeaky clean, plastic scene) want to turn cannabis into some sort of exotic delicacy that only the rich can afford. Fuck them. There are people in Oregon (and hopefully elsewhere ) selling quality CO2 extracted CBD/CBG/low THC full spectrum/ with added cannabis terpenes for around $10-$15 a gram... THAT is a fair price. Cannabis is a weed that costs very little to grow masses of!

Thats the thing about cbd's. Its more of a lack of feeling. I find I can do more and focus better but I really don't "feel" anything, but at the end of the day I realize that I did more with less aches and pains than I would have without cbd's.

I also mix cbd's in with thc in medibles. I don't subscribe to the belief it takes away from the thc effects, I believe it adds to the effects but in a subtle way thats not "buzz" related, but still important.

As for the prices and quality, I grow my own.

Not worth the extreme prices then i will not bother wasting my money. I despise the prices they have on this and full spectrum oil theres kids in the UK now on £2000 a month full spectrum oil ans it is disgusting that one person can get all that for zero cost all free on the NHS.

How can every other oil like Tea Tree etc cost about £15 max for top shelf 100ml jars yet 10ml of 40% CBD is like £130-200?? I guess this is why the UK Goverment officals like the May's invested heavily into the legal market the profits are huge. Keep it illegal, Keep the prices inflated and everyone makes a tidy profit.

I could grow that Charlottes web myself, How much do you thinm it wouls cost me to produce 10ml? Because the valueis more like £100 not £2000 wheres the money all going? GW Pharma taking most of it?

I grow cannatonic #4, its 15% cbd and .5% thc. One plant gives me roughly 10-12ml of very nice oil. Much less oil than any other plant I grow, but to me its worth it. I have no idea of your costs for growing such a plant, or turn it into oil.

Unfortunately, CBDistillery seems to have stopped selling their highest purity CBD isolate. They do have some CBG isolate, which may be interesting. Does anyone know anything about that?

That's awesome. How do you use the oil, and what kind of effects do you feel from it, if any?

Actually awesome would be 20+ ml of cbd oil per plant considering one plant takes more or less 4 months to get to harvest. :p But it is what it is.

I'm a caregiver and some of my patients use cbd rosin, but most of what we get goes into medibles.

The effects are subtle, but I think it makes the experience of thc/cbd medibles more uplifting.

Thc by itself, for me at least, is one dementional, and sometimes the high is just like a headache.

For just cbd medibles I feel more energized and focused. And at the end of the day less fatigued and sore.

I've been looking into pressing some cbd and cbg kief into rosin. It'd be my first time pressing but I have a good amount of nice kief that has been clogging my screens, so I really want to try it. Do you press kief for your cbd rosin?

So far ive just pressed buds, but recently I bought a pollen tumbler, so at some point I may use dry sift hash from the tumbler to press.

Awesome being the ratio of CBD to THC, more than the yield weight. That sounds like some pretty portent CBD bud. Have you ever vaped any? I"m curious how many hits it gives, and how dense they are.

I have Vaped the cannatonic #4 buds. (Btw it tested at 15%cbd and .5% thc.)
The hits are tasty, the buds smell like juicy fruit gum. But my last few harvests of cannatonic were 100% pressed into rosin. The used pucks are also stripped of cannabinoids as well.

I find more value with a concentrate since it goes into medibles anyway. Just like thc, cbd's go further when eaten over vaped.

Does anyone here know anything about CBG? CBDistillery says it is similar to CBD, but I have yet to try it myself.

I'm tempted to grab a gram of each isolate (CBD/CBG), but I'd like to do more research on CBG before consuming it in higher amounts.

That sounds very pleasant. I agree that for medical purposes it would probably be nice to have in edible form, especially since that's a quick way to take a larger dose. However, vaping, itself, can be somewhat of a relaxing ritual.

I'd also like to have some high CBD low THC bud, to mix with high THC wax.

I have found better relief from digestive symptoms from CBG flower than CBD flower. I look forward to learning more about CBG also.

Totally agree. CBG is also less likely to weigh you down like CBD. I vape a CBG dominant concentrate with my coffee every morning. It seems to wake me up a little better than coffee alone.

For any severe digestive system pain though, I find CBG with a tiny amount of THC is best. Unlike CBD, CBG doesn't really blunt the effects of THC. It may do the opposite actually.

Almost all my experience with cbd's has been with cannatonic#4. And by itself or with thc it always feels uplifting and energetic. Surprised to hear otherwise.

The terps an minor cannabinoids make a big difference. I've had uplifting CBD concentrates as well. But yeah, all else being equal I think CBG is less likely to be sedating than CBD. The purest experiment would be isolates. I've tried both CBD and CBG isolates before sleep. Don't think I'd ever do the CBG again.

I'd love to mess around with various concentrates, but who knows how safe each of them are in high doses.

Even selective breeding can have significant effects on Cannabinoid ratios and content levels, which in and of itself is somewhat concerning.

Look at the interaction between THC and CBD. There is scientific literature that suggest that CBD intake can help mitigate some of the negative effects of THC. When people used to smoke whatever scraggly buds they could get their hands on, and stuff that was closer to the species' natural state, they didn't have the same insane THC:CBD ratios that we have now. It's not wise to assume that all Cannabis is equally safe, while also assuming that various components can have vastly different effects, including ones that benefit from the interactions with others.

I don't believe CBG dosing at such high levels has ever been possible, before. Not before the last few years, anyway. Who's to say that more is better? Sometimes, the difference between medicine and toxin is the dose.

At least the rarer Cannabinoids don't suffer from the same restrictions that THC does, so research should come more rapidly, once there is a demonstrated interest in them by the consumers. Until then, THC and CBD seem to be the forerunners in having their research funded.

I don't dislike modern medicine, or medical practice as a whole, but I do believe that we should be looking more into treatments and cures that are either natural, or at least closer to natural. By "closer to nature", I mean that there doesn't have to be a ridiculous amount of steps betwene plant and medicine, but there can be some. Perhaps some of the lesser known cannabinoids, with only trace presences in most buds, aren't able to be used to their full potential without extraction. Creating an isolate of those would be "1 step" away from nature, but it wouldn't be synthetic, or otherwise manipulated. Just isolated to facilitate dosage control.

I doubt that THC and CBD are the only cannabinoids with significant medical benefits, but I don't see the other's being seriously researched, until there is a public demand for them. Remember, research is often funded by those who stand to profit off of the results.

Excellent post. I've spent some time thinking about all of this too.

I take your point, and have wondered the same myself. At the same time, I sort of struggle to see what the mechanism of damage would be. CBG is "newer" than CBD. We don't even know if CBD is totally safe in high doses. But people have been taking absolutely outrageous doses of CBD for over a decade now. Including children, the elderly, and the very ill. While we don't know if high doses of CBD cause long term issues, we probably know enough to say it isn't causing acute damage. Or it would be apparent by now.

My feeling on the whole matter is, it seems very unlikely that hemp extracts will one day be found to be deadly. The cannabinoids involved modulate our body's endocannabinoid system, but the effects still seem quite mild. For about 4 years now, I take hemp extract dabs multiple times per day. It's all I consume when the sun is up on working days. Every health marker, bloodwork, blood sugar/pressure etc has improved in that time period. Maybe one day this will come back to bite me in the ass. I just struggle to see how modulating the endocannabinoid system is going to do so.

Also... it's not like I eat perfectly. Unless you're only eating whole foods, I'd be more worried about the shit going into your stomach than your lungs. Yeah, taking heroic doses of CBD or CBG is new. But so are the multisyllabic chemicals that have seeped into the modern food supply. I know which seems to be more likely to cause long term problems. And it's probably not the hemp.

We could also take these worries even further. It would seem like vaping flower with a more "traditional" high THC/Low CBD/CBG mix is much safer than consuming extracts. We don't actually know that's true either. There's a long history of smoking cannabis. But vaping involves consuming chemicals that would likely be destroyed during smoking (lipids come to mind). It still seems to me that vaping is much healthier, despite there not being conclusive evidence to back up that opinion.
