For plug in vapes I've been using the Herborizer exclusively since I bought it back in Feb. For the last week I've been using the Evo again, no plans to unplug it soon.

Nice!
Will you be willing to elaborate on what made you change?
I'm curious as I know people like Herborizer a lot, I never got into the form factor, I like a bulit box solution like the EVO.

BTW, that water piece looks interesting...what is exactly?

I am not done with the Herborizer. The Herbo and the Evo are both outstanding desktop vapes.
I think they both are top tier in the flavor department. They both can extract your material to a dark bown.

When these vapes come to the table and sit down with you they are not fucking around. They are there to do a job and they are going to perform it well.

I think the Herbo hits a little, not a lot, harder than the Evo. I think it extract a little more. When I use the Herbo there is a strong desire to keep loading up bowls because damn weed tastes great through a great vape. The problem with the Herbo is you really don't want to keep loading bowls unless your plan is to go to sleep. I do multi bowls with every vape I own including the EVO. With the herbo I really try to put the brakes on after 1 bowl per session.

The Herbo makes me nervous. I don't want to leave it unattended because it gets very hot. Recently I didn't realize I had not set it back in it's stand. Fortunately several minutes later I discovered my mistake but there was a scorch mark on the table where I had left it. I have a fear of messing up with this and starting a fire. I think I want to create an area where this will be used that is safer than my current spot.

The Evo tastes great, hits hard, and because of it's design greatly reduces my fear of mis handling the vape in my home. It takes about 2-3 times longer than the Herbo to heat up which is a negative if I am in a hurry. I have already broken the bamboo on mine after owning for a year and must send it in. Vapehunter is lending me his. I have fear of breaking the bamboo when using this vape.

That wonderful cooling piece I am using was made by @davesmith and performs very well.

Cool, good to know :)
I would love to try it and understand, but I don't think its going to be possible.

Leaving it on without a proper stand is an issue for sure and very scary...

As for bamboo, I broken it 3 times or even 4 :D

BTW, since I got the Calyx I came to realize that the EVO could hit "harder" with it, or at least it seems that way.
The diffusion and size of the calyx makes the hit thicker and less smooth than my swagger turbine which has lots of room for air and has much more water poured into - the results is a more moist and airy hit with the turbine and a more even hitting experience with the EVO... but I guess using the same piece here and there is the best comparison...
I never manage to get huge clouds without water tho

which are the differences between the two, i have multiple evo's, is it worth it for me to acquire a heroborizer also ?
vape signatures, flavors, effects, low temp strength ..... differences between the two?
can you give your opinion on the above factors.

Imho Herborizer Ti is not much different from the FP. Both are a bit "stronger" than the Evo (imho).
Both require a bit of technique (slow drawing).
But, especially if you are located in the USA, have a look at Supreme Vaporizers. I have a v3dually that's butane powered but the later v4 and v6 are plugins.
The flavor imho is exceptional, despite not being glass made it's flavor is way better than Evo or anything, and doesn't make me cough.
If you like withewalling your glass pieces the vapor density of the Supreme is second only to smoke.
The effects are (imho) way more pronounced than any other vape, longer lasting and (imho) superior to the Evo and also to Herbo or FP. Consider that it can handle perfect extraction without grinding and is perfect for that last session before going to bed. Later plugins models are easier to manage also with different use in mind other than heavy hitting.
Many users claim stronger effects with some vapes, some of which I tried, but (imho) that's achieved getting closer to pyrolisis and scorching the load. Supreme's ABV is blonde brown, not a hint of scorching and pure convection ahead.

Happy EVO Friday all! It's been quiet here, hope you're all doing well :peace:. Still very good EVO vibes here.

I really appreciate a low effort super clean routine that the can EVO bring. IAnd I've been enjoying the vaping performance of EVO as regular as ever.... big extraction, flexible and super consistent. It's stopped whistling again for the last number of weeks :), I like the EVO quiet 🔇. After a month break or so, I low temp dabbed Super Lemon Haze live resin again with the EVO 🎆 🎇 🌠. I also upped the amount a bit (with dubious judgement :lol:).... it was a big hit :science:... hard on the lungs (and using a wet Precision Honeycomb hydratube 🍭). Milked glass and a dense cloud 👍. Then, again came a huge THC wave (which high THC concentrates bring), almost like a punch to the face as some people reference :freak:. I was very high :science:. I again found that strong THC high nicely calming on both the physical and mental sides. Different from flower, and nice in its own way. The dab was so strong it put me down for the night an hour or so later 😴. Even with that larger (but still small) dab, the EVO setup and nail worked perfectly with no leakage into the bamboo. I'm still totally impressed with the dab flavors and efficiency (after I dialed in my methods and settings mentioned in older posts)... very clean flavors . No toastiness at all. Who's out there dabbing with the EVO?

And who's vaping dry with the EVO here? Wet? Both ways?... I'm still vaping both ways, essentially low temp vaping flower dry and high temp vaping wet (as for dabs, I always vape it single draw low temp wet). Those are the best combinations for me. YMMV and share your favorite and experience. All this talk makes me think of a few of the last posts and talk here about stronger vaping... which makes me think as much about dry vaping as anything else. Dry vaping is definitely the best experience imo, harder on the lungs than wet vaping, but dry brings more punch and spectrum .

I'm now original owner nearing on two years with the EVO. So far no problems, no cracked bamboos... I'm even still on the original ELB (basket). The EVO is pretty idea for me; I'm big on integrated comfortable vape use in the home, and I use the EVO mostly while on the couches (or chairs) in the (carpeted) family room with a big HT / sound system 🛋️ . It's great to just have the vape within arms reach and safe (no burn/fire hazard) while listening to music or watching TV/movies :zombie:. I can sit it on the couch even.

I also rank highly and totally appreciate how easy, low effort and effective the EVO cleaning routine can be. Good performance and spending less time is pretty valuable to me, and I've got the total cleaning down to ~15 minutes total. It's pretty much hands off too. I use a small ultrasonic cleaner, with hot water and PBW. It starts with a three minute cycle and one batch does the ELBs, VapeXnails and the Helio mouthpiece. Then I rotate the Helio 180 degrees in the basket (to account for any air bubbles in the piece and soak all glass) and do another 3 minute cycle. Those pieces are then rinsed and done. And then I use that same PBW solution to clean my hyratube(s). It's a stopper fill and 3-5 minute soak, with another 180 degree rotation and further 3-5 minute soak (again accounting for air bubbles). Everything comes out super clean, while also being fast and low effort.

I've come to respect the power of the EVO, it truly can put me down if I simply push the cannabis intake :science: . I often can and do microdose with the EVO as well . It delivers pretty extensively and very consistently. I have a friend who smokes nearly a third of an ounce cannabis a week, he visits and vapes on the EVO enough that he's dialed in a routine he enjoys ... and it brings the goods . He'll end up coughing somewhere over vaping the full ELB. And he vapes it dry. Over time now, he's currently settled in 3-4 temp steps, from 11:00 (~320 F temp estimate) to 2:00 or so (~400 F temp estimate). I always turn the EVO on when he visits, and he always takes it over smoking while here :leaf:.

I'm on Acapulco Gold flower this evening with the EVO, followed by Strawberry Cough... both strong sativas. Highly recommended. Hit very hard. Here's an impressively frosty nug from a fresh batch of that Acapulco Gold... my favorite strain and cannabis atm.

After a somber Veteran's/Remembrance Day earlier this week, I'm welcoming some vaping. Cheers and enjoy your Friday :peace::leaf:

Thx all. Well, I was definitely HAF when I wrote and posted that last stuff and massacred some grammar and flow, lol. Sorry about that.

It obviously was a great & impressive night last night with the EVO + good fresh cannabis. I take a weekly cannabis break, so I seem to keep a low tolerance, with big effects. Those batches/ELBs of Acapulco Gold and Strawberry Cough were from two of my best looking and newest freshest pick ups (still boveda mason jar storing as well). Additionally, I was enjoying some bourbon, tequila, etc..

With the likes in from the last post, let me add a little more to the story of my smoking friend and the EVO. Last time he was here and we started vaping, out of the blue he told me that he really has come to find that vaping indicas (and even strong indicas) with the EVO gives a much more heady, stimulatory and cerebral experience than from smoking. He likened it to vaping a sativa. It was feedback that pretty much mirrors my experience. I mentioned to him that I find starting a fresh ELB/bowl in a vape at low temps really contributes to that experience, and that if he wanted to mimic smoking more he could start vaping at high temps for more full profile extraction. He declined, then said he enjoys starting at low temps and getting that initial stimulating and cerebral experience with strong indicas, followed by temp stepping . Another convert, haha. He does extract the ELB more than I do, with darker AVB. And him dry vaping is impressive, at least to me, as I have do my high temp fresh cannabis vaping wet.

On another note, my friend can plow through the cannabis as mentioned, and obviously has a high tolerance. So I'll usually give him 3-4 full ELBs, depending on how long he stays ☮️. With some added dabbing from time to time if wanted. I'll do a few small ELBs myself while he's typically here as well (I stick in the 0.05 gram range or so... ~1/4 ELB), and the strains are usually switched up from ELB to ELB. Taken together, it becomes easy to compare and apparent when a batch of quality cannabis flower vapes particularly robustly compared to the others earlier ... with definitely more & denser vapor/clouds. I saw it last time he visited. It was two strain that stood out that night. One of my strong sativa strain batches, Viper, as well as a new strong indica batch of SFV OG Kush. You can really see denser and more vapor with the EVO (and most any vape) when you can get your hands on a particularly impressive batch of fresh cannabis.

Anybody here every try SFV OG Kush? It's a new strain for me and batch. And it's probably the best strong indica I've found yet. Count me impressed.

Vaping's a journey. There's lots to try and to explore. I'm back on the EVO today and feeling good. Enjoy your evening and have a great weekend everyone :peace: :leaf:.

Edit, apologies for any poor grammar, etc in this post... again; it's been and is a great Saturday night so far :science:...

This looks interesting as fuck.

What's the setup if I want to replicate?

Benefits compared to just using the helio?

Is there better taste, easier cleaning, etc?

Also - I'm interested in switching it up with my pieces. I prefer to not deal with water, as I enjoy the taste of greens at ~350F. Currently only using the helio.

Has anyone found a better solution to the baskets? These baskets hold some grains from the greens that you can't get off, even if you soak in iso.

18mm female to 18mm female glass adapter and then any mouthpiece you might use for a splinter or a Tubo. That was one of the pieces @davesmith had made for my Tubo. It works with a splinter or this application too. Hit him up if you want to know what he has available or if you want him to make a piece from scratch for you. I can use the one from the picture and a couple others I have without water and the Evo without issue. I don't like burning my lips and these pieces definitely don't do that.

Great to finally see them stock a 220 volts cloud evo on the u.s.a website. It calms me to see it available i already own three now including one older model, but i might just order one more and good to see it available at the official usa website.

Much easier since its out of stock on many european websites.

thanks stonemonkey !!!

The best way to be ! Most wives think husbands are nuts , including mine .....

Hope vapexhale will permanently stock the 220v evo at the official usa website, In india / other countries outside eu its much easier for us to source it from the usa via global reshipper rather than european websites.

I always wondered why they did not stock a 220v version in the main website, after all they are the manufacturer and this is where most people will look first and it should be available by default apart from other resellers.

I hope they ensure its available now as a permanent fixture on the main website.

My apologies, why do you seek the 220v evo, and what is the standard instead?

How can I check which one I was sent? I purchased one this year.

Different part of the world , here 220v is standard whereas in usa its 110v.
They have both versions listed separately and clearly labelled.

TGIF! Hey everyone... hope ur enjoying this Friday and the EVO . I'm one month away from two years of ownership and use 🥳. So far, it pretty much still has all been good, and I continue building out my knowledge base and experience with the EVO 👍. Here's some more new feedback, information and knowledge to pay forward to the community. And I want to again thank everyone who's shared helpful knowledge and experience. Much appreciated.

I had my big combuster friend over again and we put the EVO through it's paces. Lots of ELBs of fresh cannabis flower and multiple VapeXnails of concentrates. It was great . As posted earlier, the EVO has a very strong heater and is excellent at extraction (the heater is rated higher than the Flowerpot). The EVO is also very flexible, allowing a user to dial in their own optimal vaping experience. Over the last few years here, at time we've discussed temp stepping, one-hitters (and settings) and extraction. Unsurprisingly, many EVO owners don't push extraction and temperatures too much, including me. Well, my friend, who still combusts, likes lots of extraction with his vaping :smug:. And obviously, the EVO can deliver. Here's a picture that's a good example showing the various ranges of cannabis extraction done from flower in the ELB over one night with my friend. On the left is my typical extraction with the EVO, I call it a medium brown color and it comes from two finishing six second draws at the ~2:30 clock position on the temp dial. As you can see, the cannabis is relatively intact and trichome structures remain visible. On the right side, things are extracted more. And on the top right side of the picture is a much more significant extraction, dark brown and transformed into much smaller and finer pieces. My friend vaped that, and it was at about the same 2:30 heater dial position... the difference being he took significantly more draws temp stepping to that point, and then at that point. And all the AVB in that picture came from the same grinder and was coarse grind fresh flower!

cik8tehbv7361.jpg

This picture well shows how different ranges of extraction are available from vaping... and how the EVO is flexible and can be used to bring different results depending on personal wants and preferences. A number of quality vaporizers are capable of this too...

That picture also shows what a lot of people don't realize with regards to convection vaping and the EVO... that is, while temperature selection is an important component in extraction, so are the amount and length of draws in vaping. I'd recommend not getting too hung up on temperature settings alone when vaping for extraction, and instead look at the AVB to see where one is on the extraction spectrum. I'll add that while more full extraction is what it is, it's not necessarily a better thing (for everyone). Some people enjoy and want more full extraction when vaping, others less... see what you like more and enjoy that preference. Extracting less doesn't mean anything other than its extracting less; big deal... besides, it can provide an opportunity for tinctures, edibles, etc. :)

Here's another anecdote from that above picture. I do my high temp draws wet with the EVO, like that AVB on the left. OTOH, the dark brown AVB in the upper right of the picture, from my friend, was vaped dry with the Helio... count me impressed 🤯. My lungs can't take that. As mentioned before, I like to dry vape because it brings me more effects and a more full spectrum experience, but I can't do it comfortably at high temps. Do you dry vape at all @ShayWhiteGrow? Thx for sharing the video.

Moving on, the concentrates brought the goods again for me and my friend with the EVO. For great flavors we go with low temp dabbing. It got to the point that when I gave him a third dab, it was a monster size . And while it put him down for the rest of the evening, he drew hard enough that some of the liquified dab got into the EVO bamboo for the first time :goat:. Enough liquid concentrate got into the bamboo that the next morning, when I inspected the vape, I noticed there was some viscous dab residue at the exit of the bamboo on the bottom of the EVO . Take care, as stuff can happen when you're super high vaping :science:. Anyway, a quick pressure test showed the bamboo was still fine and I ended up cleaning the bamboo with solution for the first time in my near two year ownership :sherlock:. I used the original supplied red plugs and filled the bamboo with hot PBW water. After some time shaking and soaking, I reupped it again with hot PBW water (3X total). Upon draining, a visual inspection revealed a bit of light residue remained near the bottom of the bamboo, so I used a long thin metal rod to scrape and make sure the material was loose and switched over to ISO and did a similar soak and shake for a bit (2X total). Upon further visual inspection, the bamboo glass was perfectly clean again; total success 👍. Not too time consuming either, nor overly laborious (though you may get air bubbles in some bamboo chambers and need to add more cleaning liquid after sitting a little while). Enjoy dabbing with the EVO but take care... and if some residue gets into the bamboo (turn the heater off so the residue doesn't bake on and let it cool down before using any liquids), it can be cleaned with a bit of effort and the right materials.

Has anyone found a better solution to the baskets? These baskets hold some grains from the greens that you can't get off, even if you soak in iso.
Hey @disruptxd, do you read this thread or only read responses to what you solicit? I ask because I've seen answers to your questions such as this one not much earlier in the thread. In my experience, at this point there's a lot more information in this thread on any given topic than in any solicited responses. And if you're only reading solicited responses to your questions, then imo you're only getting about 15% of the available information on any given topic. This forum and thread has excellent search functions that help to make it easy to find information... I highly recommend using that as much as possible. And if you can find the time to read back over this thread, even 5-10 minutes a day, it's interesting and definitely worth it (in my experience). Over my first months of ownership I slowly ready back in this thread, from both the beginning and end, and have gone through over 500-600 pages at this time. I hope that helps you find the info your looking for. Good luck.

Your ELB cleaning mention inspired me to take another few current ELB pictures to show my experience. This is still the first ELB I stared using nearly two years ago. There has been over 900 cannabis loads put into this basket so far (including kief)... and this is after the last weekly cleaning (hands off, six minutes long). The stuff you see on the bottom is the welding material on the basket.

Sorry for the long read.

TLDR - discussion on determining and dialing in extraction with the EVO, detailed my first experience with getting dabbing residue in the bamboo ... and a successful bamboo cleaning, plus suggestions for finding EVO info and showing an ELB after near two years use... (~900 bowls)

It's EVO time again here soon ;). Cheers everyone, and may you have an enjoyable Friday and vape experience.

There has been over 900 cannabis loads put into this basket so far... and after the last weekly cleaning (hands off, six minutes long). The stuff you see on the bottom is the welding material on the basket.

Sorry for the long read.

TLDR - discussion on determining and dialing in extraction with the EVO, detailed my first experience with getting dabbing residue in the bamboo ... and a successful bamboo cleaning, plus suggestions for finding EVO info and showing an ELB after near two years use and 900 bowls...

It's EVO time again here soon ;). Cheers everyone, and may you have an enjoyable Friday and vape experience.
