TinyMight / TM 2

Day 2 with the TM, this is my current setup:

20201013-102019.jpg

I have been using the tinymight solely via water, because why not? I'm home and its so easy to pickup.
I fill this one up with .13g and power up on temp "8".

Is it normal to pretty much finish in one hit? after one milky hit, its pretty much spent, the 2nd hit is very mellow and the 3rd one feels like greed, I think I will stop after 2 hits from now on.
I managed to get around 16 hits on demand for one battery.

So yesterday was the first day in like forever where I was home and did not need to turn on my Cloud EVO. This means a lot, it truly is.
I like the fact that I don't need to have a vape on, sometimes I just turned the EVO on so I could vape later and used to take my time (and comeback to reset shutdown timer), but I like the fact that I can just load this one and fire it without having to wait and without sacrificing performance!

Well done!

Now I badly GAS that waterpipe adapter. Why did I choose the other one with no bowl insert? xD
Does anyone know if there are cheaper compatible Solo-like stems with water pipe adapter?
Edit: already ordered. That WPA is quite pricey (24,17€) but at least shipping for accessory only is 3,5€.

as I only have 1 vaporizer, I would like to take a second. With the fury edge I am fine, the only negative but serious thing is the silicone that changes color, becomes darker, stiffer and in the end breaks, I have not found a solution. Someone has found a solution?
Before buying, I was attracted by the portability of the TM. Now that I have it, I can say it's pretty heavy and it wouldn't survive a bad drop on the ground: other than the stem, it has glass components on the inside.
I wouldn't take it outdoor as thoughtlessly as I do with my Fury2 or Flowermate Cap or Mighty/Crafty.
It can't be loaded while walking as I do with my F2. Screwing/unscrewing is a delicate operation and if done bad could lead to heater dislodgement.
My statement is: why buying such a tiny vape if the only safe use (imho) is home use? Why (in your case, having already a really tiny and well performing vape) not getting a desktop when a V-Tower can be had for less than 99€ shipped? Or, if you want to go with high praised artisanal vapes, getting a Tubo/Tetra? The vape is probably less eye appealing, bigger but since it's basically home use, who cares? Lamart.ch CS works well and the guy is also active on this board. The vape perform quite similarly to the TM.
I took out from a drawer my 2 years old, barely used Tubo. IMHO there's not SO much difference with the TM to call home about.

I know right? the bowl size is perfect IMO, too bad I have only one like that and too bad I already made another order and I won't be able to get 3.5euro shipping, for me its 21...so hopefully I won't be breaking it and if so I'll use the chamber-less one.

EDIT: You're right ,its only 4USD, not bad...well good to know.

what are the other glass components?
can you put links of the products you told me (I can't find them)?
Thank you

There is a glass inline - if you look at my photo in this post - https://fuckcombustion.com/threads/tinymight-vaporizer.44563/post-1515316
You can see a round tube like glass, there's also a stainless steel tube - that is the one that comes default, at least in my unit, however, I can switch it to the glass, I will try that soon :)

I don't think there's other glass parts, please correct me.

Figured out my bowl/stem issue was that nut that secures the tube where you insert stem ( remember was loose when I got It and I tightened back down but not enough) I believe it was not good seal.... back in business !

how snug should the stem fit inside? Loose? Tight? Little play or none? Is it easy to insert or take a little force to insert? I’ve got extra oring if I overtighten but was curious how stems sat for everyone else?

I disagree with the portability - completely. Yes, not something that I would be as comfortable as compared to a fury edge/mighty/crafty... but I also would not want to take something like that with me if I have a TM as an option? I took the TM hiking up a mountain this weekend, really no issues at all. Just left it in my pocket in the hemp bag until ready to use, enjoy, and put away. I didnt have to put it in a special case, or a backpack, or anything like that. Just be careful with it.

Loading on the go for me has been taken care of with the Jyarz chico full of pre ground. Takes 5 seconds to suck start a stem. Granted you are correct that you cant really do that easily *while* walking, realistically from the time you finish a bowl, you can be reloaded and ready to go in 15-20 seconds. Additionally TM sells dosing caps on their website, I just dont know how well they really work yet. Trying to get my hands on some for myself. Pics to follow...gotta edit them in on the back end from my phone.

so yeah, another great day with the TM. Doesn’t really get much better than this!

I've been out of town since Friday, congrats on getting yours! glad to see it appears to be living up to your standards and all of the accessories and equipment you ordered has been put to good use!

I keep mine basically as loose as possible without the stem-ring rattling, without the stem itself rattling... I dont like when there's too much resistance THATS when I get nervous about damaging something.

On another note, back to my CS issue, just as an example of the frustrating communication, I had send this email 4 or 5 times:

I was wondering if you have an idea on when the water pipe adapter that I had ordered will be shipped? I paid for it with my original Tiny Might order, when the Tiny Might showed up there was a piece of paper included that said the adapter was out of stock but will ship when it is in stock. It looks like its in stock on the website, but I just wanted to make sure I wasn't forgotten about! It was the 10/14/18 Adapter, original order ID 1457

Also, if its possible, can I add a few things to that order when it does go out?

I would like to add:

(2) Basket Screens: https://tinymightvape.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=60&product_id=68
(1) Beeswax: https://tinymightvape.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=60&product_id=66
(2) Dosing Capsules: https://tinymightvape.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=60&product_id=71

If possible, great, please let me know how I can pay you for the additional items. I would like to avoid paying shipping twice, so I was hoping to get everything all in the same order!

Thank you!

Brian

And this was the response I finally got, over the weekend. BTW, seems like many of us have suddenly been receiving responses, and more frequently, so at the very least things seems to be improving there:

Hello,

Apologies for the late reply.

We will send the the connection adapter soon.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Thanks,
David_TM

But yeah just frustrating as they didn't address the majority of the rest of the email... Like should I be ordering the additional accessories myself or will they include/charge me? I'm sure theres somewhat of a language barrier so I dont expect communications to be perfect, but if you could manage the response I got, you would think you could manage the rest? Weird. I guess I'll wait and see what shows up with my WPA, if anything, and then order whatever else I wanted.

That's definitely happened to me before as well.

Mine is usually not difficult to insert, just a bit of resistance enough to slow it down a little as i put the stem in or pull it out.

I agree with @BrianTL, the TM is actually superportable, I take it out & about all the time. Weight can be experienced differently, but with ~180g I find it to be supercomfortable to hold. Also it *can* survive a drop on the ground, happened to some of us and only a fracture (no pun intended) has found the glass liner to be broken. It's not a good idea to toss the TM around, hardly any vape likes that. But in general it's a pretty robust device.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think the glass liner on that pic is actually meant to replace the alu (not ss!) cylinder, could that be? If that's the case, I can not even recommend using it unless you are supercareful, for me it broke after a few days. But under that alu cylinder you'll find another glass liner.

Overtightening is never a good idea, but it should fit so you can hold the device by the stem when inserted, yet loose enough so you don't have to fight with it. I prefer a bit of a tighter fit so the insertion is slow enough to stop at the right time. Glad to see you have solved your issue.

Also nice to see that mail communication is gaining a bit of speed.

In the manual it states to not over-tighten the top screw.

It is portable in so much that it can be put in a pocket but even with the official pods it isn't convenient or easy to use on the move and definitely not in any way stealthy!

The pods (which I have 5 of) are incredibly difficult to open and when heated stay hot for a long time. Not only that but they get stuck in the stems after use and if you are using the cooling unit too, then you will have to push them both down together in order to remove them which is a massive headache and cannot be done without sitting down and using both hands.

The only way that I've managed it so far is by taking out two stems, with two cooling units and a massive padded bag to hold them safely.

Also the crystal glass is very fragile and with no inner cushioning or gaskets, the device is prone to smashing when dropped on hard surfaces, or at the very least the vibrating motor and button are susceptible to breaking.

The Tubo is great but arguably is even less portable as it is bigger and takes longer to heat up, but I would feel more confident dropping it than the TM for sure!

Certainly I dont think anybody plans to drop anything intentionally, besides for actual drop test review type scenarios...

My on the go method I think is about as simple as you can get. If it helps I can get pictures, but its pretty straight forward. Just takes 10 minutes of planning. Works great for day trips, general use, overnight trips, whatever. Granted, I am a guy, and I dont wear tight clothes in general, so its probably not perfect for people without a decent amount of pocket space.

All you need is the Tinymight, short stem, grinder and preferred container - I highly recommend Jyarz chico.

https://www.jyarz.com/products/chico-black-jyar

Pre grind a bit I always go with more than I think I'll need, fill the chico... I typically load the stem as well at this time, put the TM in its little bag and its ready to go. If I'm wearing jeans, TM in one pocket Chico in the other.

To use, pull out TM, take my hit or hits, and if its cashed I'll blow it out, unscrew the jar, reload with straw method, and put everything back. If not, I just put the TM back.

For me its very simple, streamlined, quick and easy. Realistically if I can't take a 5 minute break to take a couple puffs and reload, I'm probably going to wait until I can enjoy it rather than rush it. My solution isn't perfect and some may find it too cumbersome/not discreet/not easy enough but this method does everything I need. I've mentioned it a time or two here before but just like a lot of stuff it disappears into the abyss with how fast this thread moves!

Thanks ! I m giving it a 1/4 turn after it slows down when screwing in.
On my top screw i have these 2 little stripes on the side, i use these to align them to the holes.
I just tighten it to the same hole everytime, in my case its literally aligned to the side hole like 45degrees.
With my battery screw also aligned exactly “pointing” up when screwed down with a battery inserted, it just looks and feels great and nothing is too tight.

If you have an extra stem you can always preload it for on-the-go too. I bought rubber caps for the stock stems for this purpose and to protect the stem when it’s in my pocket (around the house or in the yard). I haven’t taken my TM on any hikes or substantial outside adventures unless the car counts (that’s what beverage holders are for ;)) :peace:

Also another great option! I do have a couple of stems, that could potentially be even easier than what I do now! I remember seeing your pics of the stem caps a while back and thinking it was a good idea!
