I want to change the the M1/M2/M3 TCR for Splinter, temporarly, for a friend, but can't change the M1, just the M2/M3
latest tubomyevic firmware
how can I change M1 value?
thanks

You can't change the M1 as of now. It's odd I know. Just remove the button clicks to change profile if you have it enabled so it can't accidentally be changed

You know where can I find an older tubomyfirm which can work with P80? Mod? Maybe it'll work there

Short answer... I wouldn't. Some of the newer features are worth the small pain of having M1 not editable IMO. You could always try mysurevic or whatever its called for more customization, but again I would only use his software

Oh that is unfortunate I literally just loaded this firmware on my G3D for setup with my Splinter ZV1 (first I wasted time making a logo only to discover those were no longer supported) and I came here to say even though the bin file says it fixed button swapping issue with non-p80 mods, the buttons are absolutely swapped on my G3D lol right side goes down when it should go up and vice versa for the left... If I'm not going to be able to edit the m values, should I just load Arctic Fox instead? Such a shame

For some reason, not having the logo gets under my skin the most because it looks really cool. Mine also is the current FW but buttons are not corrected.

You're not screwed using his software with the splinter, in fact it's actually quite nice for TC. I use red panda right now with mine.

You CAN edit the other profiles... Just not M1. Just set M2 and M3 for your splinter. Before you can do this you need to change the clicks to assign one for profiles. Then you can switch between the profiles you've made instead of being locked into M1.

Thanks my dude!

Yeah I figured it out after I posted that I could set it to M2 no problem. Now I just need to figure out what value is best... For some reason both 125 and 185 feel too hot?? I turned off algo so I wouldn't have to figure out the right PID values to use, but I don't know because I think I have them set up with ArcticFox on P80 for my V2... Hmmm

Sorry this is not exactly the right place to post this!

The TETRAx has been one of my main vapes since I've gotten it. I find I like packing basket screen loads and killing them in one big hit, then maybe taking a small second hit to ensure full extraction. A part of me is thinking of getting a spare TETRAx since I love it so much, but I think that's just getting a bit greedy.

Anyway, I've ordered a RX Gen3 Dual after seeing @funkyjunky say it's one of his best performers. I really hope it's problem free and doesn't suffer from any of the overheating/atomizer issues that the 3 battery version seems to suffer from!

I did find this video that apparently fixes the device too hot issue on the RX Gen3, it seems to have worked for many people in the comments. Maybe those that are having trouble with it can give it a go? Forgive me if it has already been tried.

For me it didn't work (GEN3- 3 batteries) ..I played with these screws and nothing got improved.. P80 can extract 100% of your bowl while GEN3 will extract 70% of your bowl maybe..save these ABV for edibles they are stronger ;)

I think the screw tightening had been discussed on here before. Mine doesnt overheat but I've heard of others saying theirs did. I tighten the screws regardless.

I was enjoying using the cuboid 200 for a long time but now it has started getting too hot only 2 minutes into cruise. I've had to switch back to RXG3D but I really like the form factor of the cuboid better when attached with silicon bands.

Glad to hear the RX Gen3 Dual works well for you as I was considering the Cuboid 200 since I found a local vape store had one left but thankfully chose the Dual over it.

If the Gen3 Dual works well I might consider getting a spare as it seems like most of the mods on the compatibility list are rather dated and I'm not sure if any new compatible devices will be released any time soon.

The P80 has been great banded to my diffusion pump water piece and although it only takes a moment to change batteries I wanted something with a bit more battery life. Currently getting 3 loads with Samsung 25Rs in the P80, a 4th load is possible but I eventually get a battery low warning which cuts me out of cruise mode.

Where can I purchase the Gen3 Dual today? thanks
(if there's a seller on AliExpress that would be ideal)

I ordered mine from a vape store in Australia as I couldn't deal with the wait from China but these store's still stock them:

I can vouch for all three websites but don't be in a hurry if you order from them as they ship from Hong Kong or China so at its worst it can take months and considering the situation of things right now...

Hey guys, so the TETRAx has been one of my primary vapes and it has been working perfectly until yesterday where I noticed it was vaping unevenly. Here's a small clip of one of the rips and a shot of the load at the end. You can see it's browning only half or 2/3rds of the load.

I can physically feel one side of the heater be hotter than the other side when in cruise. The only setting I have adjusted is the coil resistance from 0.232 on the sticker to 0.236. I have never dropped the device nor has the heater ever taken any big knocks.

Any tips on how I can fix this beyond sending it back to Ralph? It still works great as you can see in the clip and can be remedied by spinning the heater around a bit but I swear it worked perfectly before and don't know what happened.

Do you have something like temperature checker/tester? then check if one of the coils is not hot at all..
ok, another thing - take the resistance abit higher, it's not a real 240C here. try 0.237 or 0.238 start from 220C. or even higher

No temperature gun or anything like that unfortunately. I upped the resistance to 0.238 and it's better. Starting loads at 220 and finishing at 240.

I've been vaping joint loads lately and the uneven heating is barely noticeable, probably because the air has to travel further before hitting the herb.

Anyway I contacted @funkyjunky and I'm sure he'll sort me out. Hopefully we'll see some new TETRAx owners on here soon from the last drop. 😄

Just curious, since I'm using a Predator 228 mod for a DTV4 and that runs Arctic Fox, is it possible to use Arctic Fox optimally for the TetraX? Does anyone use AF on the TetraX, or would I best buy another mod and run Tubo on it?

I thought about doing the same thing, but you would be missing some of the software customization @funkyjunky added to optimize the performance such as adjusting wattage while you inhale to maintain temp and the heater algorithm he applied.

He already did the legwork for us to optimize the instrument, so for the best performance id only use tubo software.

Here's to hoping he adds some new models soon though because they are starting to feel dated.
My cuboid 200 is trash now, overheating too often which leaves just the gen3dual which has become popular enough to hurt availability. Someone needs to transfer it to red panda so I can use my sinuous ravage 230.

I recommend buying atleast 1 Wismec P80(supports tetrafirmware) . it works so well. lamart calibrates the TETRAx with a P80 before shipping it. so using what the sticker says will get you the exact results you want. I know exactly how the hit will be at 200C/215C/230C, and it's really accurate.

I thought he mentioned one time he used the cuboid 200 for the tetrax. But that could have been for the tubox before he started making p80.

I might pick one up though just to have another mod. Could use it for home since it is single battery and the dual on the road

I have a Predator 228 on the way, that's basically a 2 cell P80 right? I assume it would work great too, on the right software.

yeah just find a way to edit the ss / tc / tcr or however it is called in the menu, set TCR to 185, lock the resistance as is written on the sticker of your TETRAx
or install Arctic Fox for setting it from your pc

predator is on the list and works well with the tubomyevic software.

i used the cuboid before i switched to the p80 for calibration.
also there is a little guide here how to adjust the recommended coil resistance depending on model: https://shop.lamart.ch/index.php?route=product/category&path=85_82

at the moment there isnt much to add to support. maelstrom from arctic fox is much more skilled in this department and ported the project to other display formats, unfortunately out of my reach and certainly out of my time.

I think we can all agree that you just keep doing what you were put on this earth for... To make killer vapes.

Well it's settled then. One of you will have to do the port for all of us. It won't be a thankless job... You'll have mine.
