Hey Folks,

it's just a little update.

We offered the guys at the fair the possibility to use Herbie with a water pipe.
We think that the most of them were impressed and their feedback was a pleasure for us.
(Have a look at the pic)

Then after a long discussion we combined the chamber reduction with the metal sponge from the Mighty (from Storz und Bickel)
So with no experience in this how it will work we ran a live test. The result was pretty impressive.
We had to heat up Herbie for about 8-10 seconds to reach the prefered temperature.
After that we played a bit with the aircontrol. And the through the water pipe the taste was insane.

If you want more details, let us know. :)

Would you guys mind eventually posting a video of someone hitting/using the Herbie? I'm really interested to see it in action!

In my opinion a dedicated concentrate vape is much better than any herb vape using liquid pads. I am more excited about how the herbie performs with herb. Ill leaving the concentrates to the sai taf and dtv4.

By the way whats the silver mod box on the water piece?

Hey folks,

We made a short video for you. 3 devices will leave us tomorrow and will be on their way to testers.
Their videos will be online soon. In the mean time you can enjoy my mediocre video editing skills ;-)

The mod I use is the Cold Steel 100. It uses the 21700 batteries and fits almost perfectly. Just need a small ring for the gap.

Be wise, vaporize!

Thanks for posting that clip @Vape Engineering. In case you're less familiar with the shameless cloud porn we tweak over in North America you might make another clip at whatever wattage gives you the densest hit while still making even avb. I'd also like to see a clip with the same focus (i.e. big clouds and even avb) using the standard mouthpiece to see how the cooling capabilities perform. Flavor hits are important but videos of them don't have much impact.

Hey folks,

Does anybody have experience with CE-certification?

Best regards,
Nils
Not many German vape manufacturers existing, right now. Maybe @Ed's TnT can help with some info. He got CE certification recently, to sell his Woodscents to EU countries. All I can tell you so far is, that a shitload of money is involved getting it :uhoh:

Good morning, @blokenoname you are correct bro I did get my CE for the WoodScents and will say @Vape Engineering our guy here is correct. Its quite a daunting process and can be very expensive. I am thankful I had some help with this and tbh I couldnt have done it without help from my guy there in the EU who already had knowledge of this.

I recommend looking into a company that can help you with this and guide you through the process. Do your homework and get some help from a 3rd party. Just the CE documentation process literature is overwhelming or at least it was for me and way way over my head. Lol felt like I was reading the theory of the microwave oven.

I wish you luck and am sorry I am not much help.

Noticed it had been a while since anyone had posted, so any updates?

Does a device like the HERBIE need CE? Cause RBT devices, and I think other 510 vapes too, don't have one?

Hey Folks,

sorry for the inactivity but as you know familiy time at christmas and so on.
Yes we are struggling with the CE-certification. And now we know that we have to have this certification.
Anyway, we found a way to get it, but it will take some time....unfortunately...
We also found a new manufacturer. But we want them to produce a sample for us before we start with a small batch. Just to make sure the quality is perfect.
We are also waiting for some feedback from testers and reviewers. Maybe they have some thoughts about changing anything.

As you can see the things are ongoing aaaand we have to wait....

In the meantime we also spent our short pre-Christmas holiday in Amsterdam. Unfortunately I lost my grinder in a coffee shop.

Since we had already started to develop a grinder we took up the topic again over the Christmas holidays.
But first we wanted to have high-end benchmark devices.
So we got the following:
-Space Case
-Santa Cruz Shredder 3pcs medium
-Brilliant Cut Grinder
-Qubus Grinder

Unfortunately the Brilliant Cut hasn't arrived yet, but we could already test the other grinders extensively.

Each has its own advantages and disadvantages. We took all advantages and tried to realize them in one single grinder. In addition, we tried to improve each advantage even further and adapt it to our needs. We have also included our own features

Here is a small "sneak preview".
If you are more interested in the details of the grinder, let us know.

So far,

Hi,

the first prototype is stainless steel. When the tests are finished and the results are as we expected, we plan to use titanium (hopefully this won't bust the bank).

Which is safer in terms of the airpath?

EDIT: Nevermind, I just realized you were talking about the grinder!

Can titanium grind without wearing off? It is softer and more brittle than steel.

That's the point @Daprezz. The strenght of titanium is somewhere between steel and aluminium 7075. It also depends which grade the titanium..

Anyway we think that this idea has to wait because we got the first offers from different manufactures and the price for a prototype busts our budget for sure. For titanium and stainless steel.
