Induction heater is the best for dynavap!

Look forward to trying it. I got decent enough hits, just didn't like the butane aspect.
I really want to get the Stempod working though but am happy to bide my time while I try and work out how to use it

Stempod is an awesome little vape, just be careful with the matel parts, that sucker gets hot and will burn if your not careful.

Any tips for @darkgr33n ? he’s wanting to vape hash only in his stempod more efficiently .

Thanks P.A.M :)

I did think about asking but then saw "STEM POD OG retired" in david's sig so it probably didn't go too well :D

I'm still confused about whether or not coils should be glowing. I seem to see reports of both although I have read about the glowing weakening the coils which kind-of makes sense. I guess I should stick with wattage mode and just turn down the watts until there's no glow and see if i can get any luck that way.

Loving my Stempod Si so far. My only complaint is that packing the screen basket leaves a lot to be desired IMO. I ended using one of my e-nano 18mm but instead of packing the dome screen I just flipped the e-nano screen around and filled the space between the metal screen in the tube and the dome screen. I love it, I end up filling it half way and just giving it a little shake to stir. Did the same thing with stock stem too, just crammed a screen in to create a chamber where I can put some herb.

I think the last thing I need now is a heatsink because it does get the mod uncomfortably hot

I am playing with my DNA 250c and the escribe software. I have read that most people start with 185 as a TCR value, but in my research it seems that TCR values are written in units of 185 E-6 or 0.000185. The issues is that value is not capable of being used in the Escribe software because it is out of range. I'm not sure if anyone can help clarify.

For custom TCR in Escribe look to the lower right corner use the approximate Temperature Coefficient of resistance option and enter it in 0.00XXX, so for example TCR185 is entered as 0.00185

Glowing coils form oxide layers that can potentially flake off so according to Dr Farsalinos you shouldn't dry burn coils to that point. Sauce: http://www.ecigarette-research.org/research/index.php/research/research-2015/212-db

really interesting link, thanks.

i did see though that he mentioned dry burning was at 700C. I haven't got anywhere near that so hopefully no permanent damage has occurred.

I just can't seem to get any kind of hit without the coil glowing. I should experiment more but am a bit lost in escribe and what i'm trying to achieve. the profiles I d/l from evapor, while i could feel the coil getting warm, no amount of inhaling gave me any kind of hit.

Perhaps I need to get hold of some green and see where i go from there.

I am expecting my induction heater for the dynavap to arrive in the next day or so and will see if that makes it more palatable.

Hey Jim. Thanks for the reply. Lol, yeah I know! Every time I read that I roll my eyes a little.
I just can't seem to get on with Butane. Or I don't want to. Probably a bit of both. OR maybe I didn't give it long enough. It could be a little because it kinda feels like using a pipe. It could be because you need two hands to use it. I have two hands, but they are not necessarily always both available.

I think i'm trying to replicate the pace of a joint. which for me, it a toke, 10 second gap, a toke, 10 second gap up until about 5 and then put down for a bit. having to fire up the torch every time stops the flow of working.

The batteries are taking a while to charge, but almost there. 4 hours i think.

you can vape hash with it, i actually use the SI I have the OG as well but prefer the SI because no oring needed and the glass fits snuggly in it but same idea, put a thin layer of hash on the bottom of the screen pack it in a little and go for it, you will need a higher temp or wattage range than for straight herb and you will need to stir several times with straight hash, also the screen will need to be cleaned often as it will clog up also if you can get some herb mix them together well or use the herb under the hash i sent an SI and aegis legend to my friend in Rome Italy and he is loving it with hash

I ordered a Stempod SI on 11/27/19 and USPS is still showing that they are awaiting the package for shipping. Did anyone else order around this time and have the package go out yet? Just trying to figure out if USPS didn't scan the package or if it hasn't been dropped off at the post office yet.

Same here Dan has replied to me stating orders are being fulfilled in the order they were received and to allow up to 1-2 weeks for shipment.

I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt, but I don't know how much longer I can wait without calling my credit card company. I understand it's a small business, but it's also a bit worrisome that orders aren't being shipped in a timely manner. This might be a red flag that the company does not have the man power or the product to ship in time.

Looks like my order went out this evening so he is definitely working on getting the orders shipped.

I wouldn't worry they might have a backup but they are solid all they way around it will be worth the wait if they are behind a bit

Hello everyone,
I get about 1 bowl (maybe 8 or 10 draws) before the amperage tanks and the wattage starts falling.
This is at 42 watts on a DNA75 chipset on the StempodSI.

I would love to have this be a regular vape for me, but the batteries die so quickly it's impractical.

Any advice?

You're not having the vape continuously run, are you? How long are your preheats?

@vapasm ...he wouldn’t hurt a fly...@vapasm

I mean... I could see Dan running through the amazon shooting down flys with a blow dart.

I have been liking the stem pod lately. I got some settings from reddit for the quartz quest coils and they made this one of my best preforming vapes including desktops.

A slow draw from the start is a must for me. With a bong i sip until its its milked and once it gets to that point i can start drawing faster.

Flavor is great too.

I ordered the glass screened stems to experiment with. For even vaping ime with various convection vapes it is best to have the herb further away from the heat source. Sans the arizer style basket screen is the best imo.

You can use an 18mm enano stem with the enano screen.

Ill have to get pics after i get my orders in.

Also grabbed a nub stem from the tetra p80 store.

Exciting times for me lol

I am not the greatest at waiting and in all fairness I did it for as long as I could.
This unit is the bomb and has shelved thousands of dollars in well every other vape I own.
I run a pair of 22 gauge 10 wrap coils at 58 watts through water and it is amazing.
Checks every box for me excellent flavor, extraction and hits very hard if I want it to.
I use the 2.0 body more because it snubs down on a male to male adapter without a basket screen like a lsv.
Clear a two thirds loaded bowl that size in three hits with zero scorching through water.
I do gotta say that I really don't like any of the stock glass mouthpieces at all I find them way too harsh.
I do have some six inch bent I used for my lsv that work great dry so Fuck yeah!
