How long have you gone without iso soaking your ELB?
MooOoooOOoOOoonthhs!
But I'd recommend every 2-3 weeks at max..

Also, I've noticed resin building up around the bottom of my ELB's, close to where it's saudered at the bottom. The resin doesn't melt in the iso. What's the best way to get that off?
I've never succeeded. Luckily it doesn't seem to have a functional effect on the vapor output.

There's gotta be something we can do.

What's the strongest stuff you can soak stainless steel in without damaging it?

Oh damn, I was gonna say something else but now I've forgotten what that was.

Oh yeah, what do you use to clean your bowl in between packings? I've been using DenTek Easy Brush for the inside and a little travel size toothbrush for the outside.

Thanks for all the answers.
Where can I buy those wristbands?

Not and then we used to get some indication that she was heating up....who really wants to learn after they waited the 10 minutes that its not heating...can we hit rewind to watch what may have happened to cause it not to heat up.....Not really but those unique few who were able to purchase the "old tickers"....no ticking and they are investigating right away....

It is funny, from my understanding, the reason why they do not click anymore is because people used to complain about it. Can't please everyone I guess. I know what you mean though, believe me I wouldn't give up my ticker for anything.

Your welcome!

So Darb, let us know your observations in regards to your Cloud's auto shut off. Does it shut off in 1 hour with the LED's blinking or does it shut off in an hour and a half with no LED's lit at all?

Budzman,

Sinclue

OK disagree with me, I can't force you to be right

Like new looking ELBs cleaning method:

-Drop ELBs into small glass jar
-Cover with ISO (from previous use...see below)
-Loosely cover jar
-Put in Ultrasonic Cleaner (cheapo jewelry cleaner type off Amazon—$20 +/-)
-Add water to cover ISO level
-Run a couple of cycles
-Let soak overnight
-Pour out ISO and hot water rinse ELBs
-Back into jar with fresh ISO
-Couple more cycles through Ultrasonic
-Rinse and dry (Save ISO for first cycle next cleaning)

DO NOT USE ISO DIRECTLY IN ULTRASONIC CLEANER :mmmm:

:hmm:

Niiiiiiiiiiice. See, this is what I'm talking about.

And people called me crazy for using an air compressor to blow the ABV particles out of my ELB's.

Sinclue, VX should hire us to create the most complex Cloud care-kit of all time.

I'm thinking about using iso directly inside the ulstrasonic cleaner, then sticking my air compressor in there for more agitation. Your thoughts?

In all honestly, I like this idea. It's lazy and fat, just like me. I wonder what a good brand is to get?

Maybe my mom has one? She use to be addicted to QVC, and that seems like something they would sell on there. I should ask her.

I have been testing this unit in my vapor lab for a couple weeks now, getting to know the ins and outs of ultrasonic cleaning. Learning a lot in the process . . .:)

Gadzooks!

Now that's an ultrasonic cleaner. That looks like an industrial-strength one, holy moley.

Where'd you get that thing? And for how much? $100 billion?

And vapor lab? I want a freakin' vapor lab. Where's more pics of this "vapor lab"?

My cat just stole an old chicken bone off my plate and took off running like a thief. Jokes on him, I don't want that fucking chicken bone.

But I digress... t-dub, you have an awesome setup. What's that big ass machine in the background on the right?

One thing I don't see mentioned as much as I would have thought in this thread is the efficiency of the Cloud. I'm impressed every time. My ABV turns black without combustion.

I keep thinking of how much weed/money I would have saved if I would have gotten the Cloud at release. :disgust:

Cloud ABV vs. SSV ABV

Edit:

I have two ELB's and just lost the cap to one. Tore my room apart with a flash light looking for it to no avail. Congratulations me.

Hey Mere - how big is that bag of ABV? Holy fuck!

I just figured out the correct tracking number on ELB's and according to fedex they will be here tomorrow. Getting a package from VXC is so "eh" when it's just ELB's and not a cloud or glass! It's like a porno mag with titties....

Too big, my friend. A bag that should have went through the Cloud.
The Cloud = :goat: (Greatest Of All Tme)

I need one of those ELB's. Send it to me in e-mail. You have a CD-ROM drive? Just put it in there and then it should attach to your e-mail message.

BTW, you should have an ELB packed up and ready for the FedEx guy. I'm sure he'd/she'd appreciate a hit. :science:

I am curious to hear how you use this and how effective it is. I feel that my process already works well for me and don't "yet" see a need for something like this but you have inspired me to buy lots of other little things that have helped a lot. I want a process that is the most efficient but yet can reclaim.

There's gotta be something we can do.

Oh yeah, what do you use to clean your bowl in between packings? I've been using DenTek Easy Brush for the inside and a little travel size toothbrush for the outside.

I have 16 ELB's so I can go longer than most but for me I keep them on a small little plate and throw the dirty ones on another plate. I clean all 16 at once by dumping the ELB into a jar, using one of those free Macy's mascara brushes to clean the inside, dumping the tiny bit the brush knocked off into the sink (jar is too hard to tap out and I am looking for speed), and then after 2 or 3 uses of each ELB (32 to 48 actual sessions) I throw them all in a PBW jar to soak while I am at work. When I get home today I will dump the jar of 16 soaking ELB's and clean with fresh water and dump on a towl to dry. It gets the ELB brand new looking... even better looking than ISO in my opinion.

My method does not allow reclaim. I used to soak into an ISO jar but then too many particulates from the ABV kept building up and it was really hard to get each ELB out of that jar without dumping the ISO. It is soooo much easier to just dump a jar of ELB's soaking in PBW and PBW is much cheaper than ISO if you plan to dump each time for convenience.
