Thanks SLM!
It looks like a great substitute for the gridded tree that was in the SG package. It is a little smaller diameter than the gridded tree perc, but seems to fill and clear just as nicely! Great work team VXC!!

Since you asked nicely. :D

Let me know what you think of the new lighting. I used my new video lights... I think the quality improved because of them.

Great cloud :)
Just wondering about heat up time...so you heat up for 10-15 mins before loading the ELB
I thought people wait 10-15mins after loading the ELB

Mine takes about 10-15 minutes to heat up. I put the ELB in and start inhaling once the device reaches temp. I do not let the unit heat up with the ELB in the device.

POW! Found it! I soooooo need this glass piece! I sometimes don't really see the point to water in the HT since the vapours are already so damn smooth!
J-hook a la ALT, or taller longer L-shape tube, for hitting it sitting on your desktop when posting on FC :) lol

I'm just curious ... has anyone tried using the ELB's in their EQ elbows as an "elbow pack"? I've always found the elbow's a little small on the EQ and was wondering if ordering some ELB's for my EQ while waiting for my turn to order to come up might be a nice improvement ... (or option for when you want to put in more than the 0.15 or so you can get in the EQ elb's)

She really convinced me to do my dishes today :) lol
Finally some delicate nice lady features to go with nice and fine glass :)
Congrats, it really looks better instead of a male coarse voice or even better than seeing just a couple StoneMonkyes hands :) lol

They fit in perfectly (i am attempting to train some new elbs in it) but I have no desire to fire up the EQ to try it. If im filling an elb, its going in the Cloud :)

Can't convince you to try it in the interest of cannabis science??? :) ... No idea when I'll actually come up on the list to order my Cloud (pre-ordered June 11th so I'm sure I'll be waiting a while) so am stuck using what I've got! (which ain't too shabby but always looking for better ... hoping the Cloud will end my search for the ultimate desktop vape so I'll only be left with my portable obsession!)

HydraTube collection!
I've made a collection of some good pics/vids of all hydratubes. IMO good for that hard choosing :). Mostly from the two threads here using search for links.

I believe variances in the sweet-spot on the VXC are more related to the size of hole (opening) in the base of the male joint that variances in the unit's heating system.

This - small variations in the size of the orifice - is consistent with what I've learned about the Cloud's design from SM.

That was me that brought that up but the lowered pressure . . .

Thanks for the elaboration. I don't remember your earlier post about this, I was ref'g to a post I made, again based on discussion with SM. VXL attributes the extraction at comparatively lower temps to the lower pressure created in the ELB, and attributes the evenness of extraction to the turbulence in the ELB.

Since you asked nicely.

How would you describe the Evolver's drag and action? How does it compare to the HydraCirc?

No not really sorry  I feel I would be wasting some herb if I used it in the EQ. Im willing to bet that the EQ would toast the top half of the elb and leave some green in the bottom. I bet in order to vape all the herb all the way to the bottom in a fully packed elb, you would end up with a very dark top. It would work if you packed half an elb and cranked up the EQ a bit to compensate for space, but at that point, you're better off sticking to packing your elbs (same amount).

My new custom VXC toys:

I call it the Cloud Can-Verter, as it is the size of Redbull Can, and converts my VXC into a dry bent-neck, an 8-arm bent neck, or forms like Voltron with my SGW Showerdome HT to a Towering 17" double-perkd Vapor Bong:

Fantastic stuff!
Thanks,

Solves two of my issues with the VXC and Showerdome.

1. Both the Bent-neck 8-arm and Voltron iterations are tall enough that I do not have to hold the VXC up close to my head, it feels more like hitting an old school straight tube or an SGW waffle bub.

2. I have had issues with my SGW leaking water back down and out the dewar joint, regardless of how low I put the h2o level. Now I will only use it on top of the Can-verter, so the danger of getting h2o down the VXC has been greatly reduced as it very difficult to get water back up those long arms.

So I am trying to understand this, the Hydratubes, are they being made by several different sources? Where do you find them? I do not see tubes on the VXC site yet... are these being custom made?

Well done JD! It would be nice to keep the lower HT in the freezer
And the top HT gets the water. I like it!

JohnDeere: Wow, that's fantastic. So many ways to combine. These "Can-Verters" and dry mouthpieces should get real as optional glass for every customer.

Oh my, how to keep this from being really long?

It's probably pointless to revisit all the changes in the HT saga. Short version: VXL has and is using outside glass shops plus now having an in-house capability. VXL will also apparently entertain custom requests.

The website shows a Vertigo tree, which was, wasn't, and now apparently is, available. IIRC it has an exposed female joint while the joint on all the other tubes is internal.

The Evolver is a new tree; if there was an announcement, I missed it.

The ShowerDome is a circ either from SGW which was, then wasn't, then was, and now may be available again. Or, it's the in-house HydraCirc. The home page indicates its the SGW while the packages page describes it as "VapeXhale Showerdome" which I think refers to the in-house version. Some posts from those who recently ordered seem to suggest you may receive (order?) one or the other. These 2 are fairly similar.

And, no, pics of the HT's on the VXL site were removed long ago. You have to find them in this thread. There are also several side-by-side comparisons posted. And a few YouTube vids.

The Cloud is great. The HT's are great. But the website needs, er, some work.

And, oh, there are more HT designs in development.

EDIT: Be sure to check Seek's great post above with images and descriptions.

I've just done the searching (not complete, many pics/vids are not there) here few posts above so people don't have to go through 300 pages. And the comparision pics of showerdomes is this one. Also I've now commented them a bit, how every HT is different from others.

Just to be clear I did not get this through VXL, thusly I am not calling it an HT, nor am I advertising who made it here on the companies' vendor thread.

That being said if you are on bm you could find the listing and find out who brought my sick little idea to life.
