With the WonG and it's simple screen setting, I made a video of loading kief directly on the screen & no herb. Worked great, maybe better with a more planty grade.

This isn't even with a cranked power supply,
it's with the stock wall-wart!

... me thinks I might have to start putting to use all the goodies in my pollen box...

EDIT:

Hmm, there's a thought.

Mr. Underdog, have you considered adding UD pollen boxes to the site? I know I'd love to have one with UD craftmanship.

I think he should find a way for our stems to not have silicone first. Though I am not against a wooden storage box molded to hold my UD, power supplies, stems, grinder, and future UD accessories.

But I understand he is just one man.

Hmm. Wooden storage box for the UD and the UD paraphernalia. I like that idea. Could end up being pretty luxurious. Maybe an idea to keep on the backburner...

Dang, SD_Haze thats awesome. those looked like some REALLLL potent hits. great glass too by the way  i've been envious of that since you first showed it off in the Apix thread.

i believe Dave and Amanda already make something of the sort. not a box but more like a stem holder that also has indents to hold jars and such. pretty sure it was OhTheAgony who was one of the people who picked one up. you could always email Dave about the idea if you truly want one...

i was just wondering.. does warming up the UD w/ the aroma therapy bucket plugging it, warm it up a little faster?? some times i warm it up upside down on the table.. i haven't paid any attention to if it works noticeably faster though..

Well, I thought this thread was becoming dangerously, even disturbingly, short on both extraneous and low-quality pics, so... you're welcome! :D

Yes, these are the mountains that my sweet little Doggie gets to stare at all day. Or are they staring at it? :tinfoil:

Oh, and by the way, did I hear someone shout out "100th Post" ? FUCK YEAH, I DID. 'Cause it was me!

And what a long, strange, vapor-filled trip it's been...

Not to get all gushy on you guys or anything, but thanks again to all the Underdogs who have helped make me a vaporizer believer and helped set me on my vaporizing course. Like almost all the rest of you, I am now never, ever looking back at the world of smoke and I simply could not be any happier, or even more proud, about it. Good-bye to all that.

So keep on keepin’ on, Underdogs…. longshots though you may be, I'm rooting for you all. ;)

Remembered to snap one when it was all cleaned up. I know they were a PITA Dave but thanks for the nice fitting! Cheers everybody! The most important part of the shot is across the room but I think we all know what comes next. Knocking out clouds for six months plugged in 24/7.

@ EDA - that's a nice view you've got there for that Dog man.. I'm jealous.

@ Drewper - thanks, glad to see you enjoying the WPB. Those things were a major PITA but I do/did like the way they work!

Pulled pieces for the refresh out of testing this morning, putting bottoms on them and lining them up for their class pictures. Should be done and up on the website by the end of the day. :peace:

I just noticed this post. Sorry, dude.

I've never tried warming it up with the aromatherapy cup attached. I don't like keeping it on very long at a time, even... isn't there a chance, eventually, of blocking too much air than is good for the Dog?

Curious to know if it works, though.

Oops I didn't see that one either. I haven't actively tried doing that with the intent of speeding up the warmup time and while I could see it making a small difference I don't think it would be by much.

Shouldn't really be any adverse affects of having the cup on for longer periods of time either as far I would imagine. :peace:

I've been on break for over a month and my UD has never been unplugged, but I have had my aromatherapy cup on the heat port the entire time. I also have had my cup on the hp whenever my UD wasn't really getting used since I got it in late September. No side effects so far.

thanks for getting back to me, haa but on saturday i found a reason not to do it anymore.. i don't have the aroma therapy thing.. but i took my first hit and left the UD upside down on the desk and forgot about it for like a half hour or more and when i went back to take the 2nd rip it combusted right away haha.. started glowing.. i wont be doing that any more(screen set ~1").. i was always wondering how my buddy combusted.. he leaves the aroma therapy tray on a lot of the time.. he probably took it off and took a dry hit??
i just got into the habit of setting it down upside down for no reason and i figured it warmed it up a little more.. it does haa... now i'm getting in the habit of not doing that ha.. i don't want any surprises.. i tried warming it up faster this way but i ended up forgetting and coming back almost an hour later anyway ha.. thanks

I frequently put my cup on there during warm-up. And I leave my cup on the Dog for hours at a time. So far, so good.

I'm no physicist, but it seems like putting a "cap" on the heat core may allow it to get a little hotter than without. However, could it be having the opposite effect during warm-up? When the piece is warming, that cup is more metal to suck heat/energy away from the core.

@ Buildozer - Lol good to know, thanks for the info. The stock power supply drives these Pups right near the edge of combustion, as you discovered it doesn't much more to go over the line. Upside down is not a good way to set it and forget it as it traps all the heat inside (more so than the cup), radiates it into the desk (or whatever it's on) and also since the heat rises also exposes the plug and wiring to unnecessary heat. :science:

@ IWT - The cup will trap some heat for sure but to a relatively limited amount. You're right on also with pointing out that while it might trap more heat it can also act as a heat sink and pull heat away from the core as well. I suppose you could say it acts as a plug to convection and a radiator to conduction.

Alright back to these Dogs or I'll never get them finished and everyone will have to go without lol.

completely forgot to post up this video i made with my Big Bamboo UD and the Steele Concept Ice cubes i made about a week ago. i swear, this Big Bamboo UD definitely hits harder than my Bamboo Twig. when set at the same voltage, the Big Bamboo UD produces darker ABV. very interesting but i'm assuming maybe it's because of it's made of Bamboo and not a 'legit' wood? i don't know but still loving this thing.

mmmmm milky goodness :mmmm:

can't wait for the refresh!

edit: just noticed, the past page on this thread is full of UD porn! lovin it!

Came back to the dog today after an extended trip out of state. Plugged her back in, and after a week and a half forced tolerance break was back in fog heaven:brow:.

It's easy to forget how nice it is to just have around all the time. I'm with Peloton, this thing is a gem to have around and ready constantly.

Damn Stu you got me..

Ok I got the pictures and everything all done and Underdogette is trying to upload them and add the new Pups to the database but is having some kind of technical difficulties (I assume based on volume of swearing) so, ah, continue to.. wait?

Here, I'll post a couple ghetto Lineups to keep you guys occupied:

I'll update you guys more once I hear from UDE and she lets me know what she thinks the problem is and how/when it'll be resolved.

Also got some kit changes and whatnot that we're making but we'll wait to talk about that until we the pieces up.

Might have another half-dozen or so Pups at the end of the week that were stragglers and didn't quite make the refresh.. mostly more Lost Dogs. :peace:
