Discontinued The Sublimator

Keep a ultra fine screen low in the atomizer for cleaner sublimate oil. Once she stars flowing its like a BP oil spill. Double deckers for breakfast.

I use a HE flat head titanium dabber to collect and dab from the atomizer. Also have a tool that comes with gpens that works great for cleaning bubble hash out the bowl, collecting sublimate, etc.

Edit, someone posted this within last few pages. Thanks.

Thanks for the quick reply. Another (new guy) question: how long does the Sub take to start giving forth oil? And, how do most people collect it (I do have some oil slick pads). Thanks.

id say around 10 grams flowers to 1 gram of oil.

Heads up to anyone else looking to purchase a Sub.
Today looks like the last day for the discounted UFO from either PV or sublimator site. Same price too BTW.
code: SUBUFO at PV.

Besides the kill-a-watt and a torch any other acc's considered a must?
Reclaim collector will have to wait for now.

So today I pulled my short tube out, and had the brain storm to insert the metal mouthpiece and tubing into the bottom hole....this would allow me to use the short plastic tube like a mouthpiece instead...to try and replicate a bong hit. Not sure if that makes any sense, since I don't have photos...

Have not had a chance to try it out yet, as I am dry...but if any other short tube owners want to give a whirl and report back, I would be interested in hearing how it was.

Edit: I placed a small glass stem (one that came with my FV) into the bottom draw hole. Now the vapor travels through a glass stem and into the silicone tubing.

I've got about half a gram sitting in the freezer, but I've also took many dabs right from the atty....so 10 grams to one gram is pretty accurate. Tonight I will be blasting some ISo oil. Checked it this morning and there's no spark so she's ready to hit in the sub! Gunna try and accumulate lots of oil muhahahahahahahhahahahaha

Yeah, looks like it will need a warranty repair soon...no too happy about that.

Sublimator is improving itself each time you send in something back to them. He probably has a lot of ideas coming from opinions from you guys. He will impress you even more in the future, no bs.

My max temp seems to be sitting around 44-46W ... used to be in the mid 50's ... I use it at around 22-27W though ... so its not an issue right now (but somewhat concerning if I didn't know PV and Enrico would take care of me :))

That's cool and all, and I am sure I will get taken care of, but it's still a bummer. This is the second vape in the $400+ price range that I have purchased in my lifetime, that has failed me early on. I understand these things happen, but it's a pain in the ass when you spend that much, then have to pay to ship the thing back within a few months of buying it.

Hopefully this doesn't turn into an issue for most users.

soooo, sitting here sleepless, catching up on the thread with a couple of bowls and dreaming of the 220V version coming out soon I went to PV site and found no more mention of that..

Seeing Enrico all abroad I guess the normal device is now 110-220 V, can someone confirm that guess?

vakedcow,

Is it tho?

I emailed Pv a couple of weeks ago about the 230v version, they said they had taken it off the website as there was no release date in sight, possibly Christmas or even the new year:\

My sub max temp is dropping...

I have had my sublimator since the 2nd or third week of june. And I am in the same very saddening, very disappointing, very disheartening boat as a few of you others. My max watts are now sitting at only 38. A week ago it was at 40. and a week before that id say 41. Im not very happy about paying 30-40$ to send this thing in to get fixed after spending 830$ on the pre-sale edition setup. Even if I am taken care of immediately, its still frustrating when you spend this buck. I might add this will be the second time I have sent something from the unit in. My initial base came with broken threading after it was threaded the 5th-6th time.

I love love love love love the sub, but this is heartbreaking(and expensive) this early on. I hope this is fixed and less frequent with the upgraded version.

I am just curious to know how many of you, who have diminishing wattage on your units, kept them running full time, or did you turn them on and off frequently? Also curious to know if you ran them hotter than lower to mid 30s on wattage very often?

The reason I ask, I have been trying to keep mine in the low 30s and just leave mine on. I checked yesterday and still get up to 61 watts when at full temp, but I don't usually run it hot otherwise. I am wondering if there is any connection to turning it on/off or running it hotter more frequently to the heaters dropping in performance.

My condolences to those who have to mail theirs back in.

Mine has probably seen the least usage compared to most around here. I don't leave it running 24/7, and have been dry more often than I prefer, lately. When I do use it, I use it all day long, but there really has not been enough usage on my unit to justify it dipping like this.

Even so, I think they need to figure out what the issue is. I expect a device in this price range, to be a workhorse.

The only other theory I have, is that it's the dabs somehow weighing down the heater? I dunno.

id say around 10 grams flowers to 1 gram of oil.

I'm sure it depends on quality of flowers and whatnot, but I have never produced a gram of oil for 10 grams of bud. I see maybe half a gram to a gram at most per ounce.

I seem to remember enrico saying not to leave it on at the highest temp all the time.

He did mention that, but my unit is hardly ever above 35-38 watts. I only crank it full blast to clean it out once in a rare while, or to get it up to temp faster, as per his suggestion.

It's dropped an additional 10 watts in a matter of a couple of weeks or so.

I never run mine at full temp for more than a few mins...at most, mainly to check the wattage.

I wish I could remember what I was doing just before the wattage dropped. Like you, mine was running rock solid, at a full 60 watts or so. Then one day I just noticed it was at 48 watts max, and now it's on it's way to mid 30's. It's like when it starts dropping, it drops hard and fast.

I will keep everyone posted as to my warranty experience, and what they say about the wattage drops. Would hate to see a mass recall because of a batch failure or something like that.
