Yep, Mulehead, we had moments (or I did anyway) where we wondered if we had been brainwashed somehow, which is what a lot of the audience thought. It was only after some of you guys got Zion's that I could be confident that something weird wasn't going on and RBT hadn't somehow remotely made Manchurian Candidates out of us all. I mean, I understood that wasn't possible but the Zion seemed so oddly competent.

Turns out they are just that good. And the dream of practically instant on very controllable cloudage was actually being fulfilled. I'm sure not everyone will like them as much as I do, but they are like the perfect vapes for me and absolutely the best I have used.

At least so far. I know RBT still has unimplemented ideas...;)

Regarding physical appearance and style, again very subjective, I think the mflb is ratchet as fuck, and the Air ...
THIS!
Also, I think the air is an ugly machine, personally. Neither here nor there, but I think A LOT of vapes are hideous monstrosities.

I think my pictures should have illustrated that my 1st-run Milaana has some flaws here and there, but I like the glass and wood construction, and I love how fast it heats up to temp.

Likely receive my Milaana today! But I might not be prepared, as I own no 18650s (was anticipating a chance to order before shipping) and I pre-ordered at $89 and I don't think batteries were included then and one guy pages back just got a Milaana w short stem and no battery... So, any $89 preorders out there get long stems and battery, too, or should I go shopping?

There are some appearance improvements that can be done pretty easily that only consume time. For me to do them they will cost me nothing, but they would have taken time and therefore raised the cost of Bam Bam if RBT had done them. I will likely put some stain on him at some point, and I may use a dremel or something to smooth some of the edges, but these are only appearance related and won't change the function at all. A little personalization never hurts...

I think yours will still come with a battery, but it never hurts to have some more. I think you should have at least 1 as backup. Don't want to run out of juice and be stuck... :)

So far I think I may be to only one whose Mi came with just the short stem and no battery, but I am a Z-Team member and RBT knows I already have stems and batteries. The shortie is the only stem I didn't have.

Shipping labels are being created as we speak. North Carolina where you at? I see a few coming your way. To the Milaana owner who lives in OBX please send me a PM. I want to rent your house! LMAO but I love that area for vacation. I should be down there this summer or next.

South Carolina, I got one coming your way too!

Only 4 new labels so far but the afternoon is young!

@pakalolo Thanks a lot for your insights. Truly appreciate sharing this info to all of us.
One day I might receive a mail from Ryan - guess I won't try contacting him again before. Although, I must confess I'd love to hear a word from him. Just like we had dialog before he went absent.. And I enjoyed it a lot and appreciated it.
Well, times are gonna change - and I'll be prepared :clap::rockon:

Hope to read more from happy Laana campers soon!
Enjoy and keep the vibe, my friends :peace:

Mine surprised me by coming with a battery and was $89.
Cheapest electric vape I've ever purchased! The battery was inside a battery case, with a short stem. A long stem, wooden pick/stirstick, and a hemp carry bag also was included.

Best bargain around IMO!!

I too find looser better, but some resistance is helpful to create air turbulence to extract the load evenly

I find, at leat in the Zi, that it's not really turbulence that I need but rather creating a local partial vaccuum. I do tamp my ground loads surprisingly much and the added resistance gives some extra time for the hot air to exchange its calories to the load. When it's really too loose, I find that hot air just travels around the flying plant bits, taking the path of least resistance, and I end up sucking a lot of blank hot air and it's harder to the throat and less cloudy.

Remember that I always use it dry and take shorter hits, so I might need them to be denser to be appreciable vs a 30 sec draw through water where in the end you'll get a giant cloud anyways, whether it's more diluted or not. But there's a limit to how much you can tamp of course, as if you overdo it can create some tunneling effect where the air always follow the same restricted paths inside the load.

At one point early in the Zi thread I too felt maybe the beta team was sugar coating a bit. Then my Zion made it to me. I got it, I understood, and I then believed!

When I joined the alpha testing of the Zion, I thought it sounded a bit too good to be true (the ambiance and the way it developed made the thread almost unreal, we even thought at some point some astroturfing was taking place!) and honnestly I didn't even have very high hopes, as I imagined that it would be like my Firewood 2.1, that is a bit "nice but meh"!

Then I received it and wow, just wow! I've been genuinely blown away, this thing is that good really! If I have the choice, this is the only vape I use, period. But at first I thought this was perhaps due to my inexperience, I already had a lot of portables but only a single convection one (didn't have the Elo yet) so maybe it was just me discovering how a good portable convection vape should be. Still I was amazed by the amount of vapor it produced. I kept looking at my bowl in disbelief, trying to check whether I combusted or not because it was so thick. But nope, nada, zilch, niet, the load was always still greenish!

But then I heard the impressions from @pakalolo and @stickstones, whose experience and knowledge I deeply respect. Then the Z-team expanded, and we got more and more positive raving reports. I think if we cumulate the experience of all its members and if we line-up all vapes we collectively own or have tested, the entire spectrum would be covered and some more! We also had all kinds of usage patterns covered, from sippers to rippers, dry or with water, recreational and medical. At this point it was clear we had a gem in our hands. We're cheerleading for a good reason my friends, this device fucking rocks! It hits hard, it's easy to use, the taste is wonderful, maintainance is a breeze.

I don't have a Mi (yet) and I wasn't involved at all in its development but it's the same heater tech in a very affordable and more portable package. I'm pretty sure most of you guys will love it!

Hello! So unexpectedly i came home to a brown box on my porch! What a NICE surprise! Except.... I dont have a 18650 charger....... I literally ordered a Nitecore D2 on Amazon earlier today but it won't be delivered until Friday, So now I am thinking its time to cancel the amazon order and go buy a charger in person.

Anyone know where I can buy a nitecpre charger in store? Walmart? best buy? a vape shop?

Also does anyone know if their batteries have came partially charged or fully depleted?

I have some of these 18650 charged, will they work?

@dac13: Cells are shipped at storage voltage but you need to do a full extended charge (about 6h at least) once before first use, in order to pre-condition them and maximize their capacity.

Your Panasonic cells are only rated for 10A continuous discharge, you need at least 20A. It might work but it's not recommended, results will be suboptimal and you might damage them a bit and reduce their service life.

Any vape shop should be able to set you up. That is why RBT designed the tech around the 18650 battery. Easy to swap. Easy to find.

I am not sure about the battery you posted. I think there is a battery thread floating around. I am not good at this tech stuff.

Thanks I did notice then my batteries have too low Amp discharge so they will not work.

Okay I will call up some local vape shops and find one who carries a charger! Thanks

Some vape shops carry batteries that are also freshly charged as a convenience to their customers and the LGHE4 can be found at most stores.

If you are in a hurry to try out your Milaana you could also pick up a charged battery when you go grab your charger and then charge the battery that came with it while you are playing with the Milaana on a freshly charged battery.

It's always nice to have extra batteries too.

Also if the heater is drawing 45w on the Panasonic then even at full charge and starting at 4.2v it would still draw more than the 10A continuous that those batteries are rated for.....and if the battery runs down to 3v then it would require 15A continuous current to fully power the heater...so to reiterate KeroZen's response - no they won't work.

If you have no other use for those batteries then I suggest buying a nice flashlight to use them on. But be careful.....collecting flashlights can also be a little addictive too.

Thanks for that. I did a full charge on a pair I just got last week from Illum, but I didn't leave them in the charger long after they completed. I haven't used them yet (they are for the Zion... ;) ), should I throw them back in the charger for a few hours even tho they show full?

BTW, I went ahead and bought the same ones RBT uses. I figure his choice is well thought out...

What's up everyone. I received my milaana today and gave it a few test runs and wanted to share my thoughts so far. This thing is pretty damn awesome. Small learning curve but I think I have it down. Anyone else flip the screen around basket style? I seem to be getting much better results this way. I can't believe I paid 129 bucks for this thing

For those of you getting batteries who don't yet have your Milaanas, make sure you store them at 40% if you're just letting them sit for a week or more. Mine have been at 40% for a month now, just gotta make sure to charge them for 30 minutes or so every few weeks because the charge will drop a little bit. :)

mine showed up today, just finished 2nd session. I'm using the same 18mm j-hook I use with all my vapes with a little bit of hemp fiber as a filter and a m2m adapter from OGB. flipped the screen around to use basket style as advised by FC veterans. vape sig on this thing is really heavy. flavor is very pure. extremely wide open draw, which I personally really appreciate. vapor in like 4-5 seconds. obviously I need to develop my technique, but I'm already getting very good results.

it's early, but I think this thing is exactly what I had hoped it would be. minimalist, manually controlled, with enough power to get me in trouble (which of course would be my fault). I bet you can really walk the line with the throttle on this girl once you get comfortable. it's not immediately clear to me how well this would serve as a stealth vape, but that's not something I care much about these days. more testing needed but sure seems like a winner from here

Hello FC! Another happy customer here! Got my Milaana today!

I have a question maybe @AJS, @KeroZen or @GTAVaper might be able to help me with about batteries.
I ordered extras and a charger but it only came with one battery, I guess those will come with the Zion.

Are the RBT batteries IRC or IMR batteries?

I have a bunch of green samsung IRC18650-30B (also says SDI and 2E21 under SDI) flat tops and was curious if they would work. I can't find any info on them and vape shops here are useless with battery knowledge.

I am charging the LG that came with it now, I can't wait to share my experience with my Milaana!

Thanks in advance to anyone who knows how to interpret the batteries.

Just received my Milanna, first session was exactly what I was hoping for produced great clouds with amazing flavor.

Now my grasshopper will only be used when I am on the go and once i get a solid carrying case for a battery and stem for my Milanna it might be sitting on the shelf.

I abuse the shit out of these batteries. Drain them. Leave them charged. Leave them on the charger for days, fuck it. I have noticed very nominal drop in performance but i rotate a ton of batteries. One of the beauties of this device IMO is that replacment batteries are readily available and reasonably priced. They last a long time too IMO.

Edit..must have short stem! Maybe would even fit in the little change pocket of my jeans?
