i cant believe this week im going to have the holy grail(the iris) and the excalibur(sr-71 replacement) of the portable vaping world. Bob loblaw has truly gone out of his way to make my sr-71 experience an awesomer one with the Iris. I dont think a viagra could get me more excited right now lol.
Geez, the great things ive seen from the community on this thread amazes me. The world can learn from all of you guys. Happy friday guys and thanks again bob loblaw!

am glad to do it! (all honesty i sold him the IRIS, just at major discount, it does mean he'll get the discount for the new one as well, tho!) was surprised it went on that long!

Yup guys bob gave me idea for mesh screen style tanks.

Argh - I should have gotten that - those were two big movies I saw as a young adult. Congrats to the winner!

Just thought I should mention: I'm still waiting for instructions on ordering (paying the shipping) for my SR-71. Thanks.

yea, but you already got a free SR-71, gotta spread it around, like HPV ;)

Oh wow... Awesome move there, Bob! (I was about to PM you back, lol, but great to see things go to a "higher" cause!)
Enjoyed the video and the subsequent game quite a bit tho I'm late to the party! :D

glad you enjoyed, that was the plan! i actually am sending a few carts to the first guy on youtube to comment and get it right

anyone using any cases to make their persei and attachments portable and secure? I posted earlier but got no responses. should i be posting somewhere else?
As of late, I've been using a portable laptop bag (like a courier bag) and keep stuff stashed in pockets, but for the Nibbler and Bender I wrap the glass in bubblewrap and tuck it into a string-close velvet bag that I keep in an inner pocket.

Before, I tried to stuff the Persei and utensils along with the SS kit inside a small zipper bag, but noticed that metal on metal is bad for the black finish and quit doing that rather than try to wrap everything else up.

In my laptop bag, I keep the ready-to-go Persei in a smaller outer pocket, the SS kit (with level adjuster in middle (bit of wadding to keep it from rattling too much), tubes connected together to the dual top and on the bottom of where my laptop (actually a MS Surface table, so plenty of room behind a thin divider) with the bag of glass on top and a few battery packs.

I've got some other toys stashed in there (usually a Pax, the tablet of course, proper earphones - Shure SE425s can't be beat on the bus/train!, etc etc), has a shoulder strap and leather handles, so easy to shift around as desired for comfort. Still got just enough room to put a real work laptop in and/or papers, etc. Carts, atomizers and any stash are kept in a plastic-lined pocket to keep smells down, but isn't very organized at the moment.

No, this solution doesn't fit in a pocket (pants or large winter coat), but it's what has been working for me while being able to access the complete arsenal (keeping in mind I don't have the Hercules or Nibbler XL, but I'm thinking these aren't very stealthy, lol)

For smaller kits (and/or leaving accessories not being used behind), definitely something padded and any coated pieces (where you care about appearance) being protected (linen pocket, stuffed cloth, plastic wrap, whatever, just no more nicks in my stuff plz!).

FWIW - for the nicks I do find (black being bad since you get shiny metal that contrasts really well), I've been using just a black marker to touch the spot. Covers it up pretty well, but gotta retouch every once in a while since it wears off that spot fairly easily. Anyone else have suggestions for this (including other colors)?

(removed mention of "offer")

Bob - I should have PM'd instead. All I can say is I'm pretty new to this forum system, I'm not really used to it and I still regularly do things wrong here. I'll try to keep it "on the down-low" from now on.

thanks tommydcat for that very informative post about cases!! i'll be taking a trip to frys soon to check out some laptop bags/neoprene cases before ordering it online if its cheaper. way better than carrying around the persei box! lol! (i also use the black permanent marker trick to cover up scratches! hahah)

Thanks as well to bob loblaw for the extra case info and for the video as well! i cant wait for the sr71!

Of yes the Hercules is just a beast the older tops can not withstand a Hercules that is put together wrong. All of bobs tops are now up to code with our latest and greatest circuit boards with protections built in for the Hercules in mind. Never the less i am going with your words of wisdom no matter how perfect product we make, they make a better perfect user. It was intentional that we didnt let bob know how to use it so that we can see what people might go through when not reading a manual.

I did have a question regarding the old tops for persei. G mentioned above that there are older tops that caused problems. For me, and anyone else thats curious, how would we know if we have an older persei top? does it look different? I want to make sure that I don't have an older top, want to make sure im ready for the sr71 when it arrives :D

you're welcome
the part where the cart goes in should have a screw there, not just a plate. regardless, the persei is lifetime warranty so use it, fry it, use the double while ur waiting for the new one, restart.

Just saying that laptop case is what works for me because of my work stuff, too... But you'll need to consider that form factor for what works for you..

I did pass by this site when doing my own research: http://www.themacleods.net/qanda/skmqa073.htm
It's about researching pipe cases and what to consider when porting around your pipes and how to keep them protected. Probably not quite what you're expecting, but the concerns are actually relevant ;)

Edit: I believe it's the original tops without serial numbers that he's talking about as I think I remember there was (or will be) a trade-in program.

Any word on the Iris V2? I had a cart that ended up bein stuck on. All the oil leaked out the bottom and into the buttons. They no longer will push in. I hope the new version comes soon. Dialing in the voltage really helps.

I also have an old top and a hammer top. They seem to not work all the time. I'm thinking I may want to send them in with the hercs. Probably a different package though.

The IRIS is something I would love to have.
My wife say's: "Your Medication Room look's like a SMOKE SHOP"!
I say: "You think so"?

Bob Loblaw created the VAPE COLLECTION HABIT or VCH as my wife calls it.

More stuff is delivered to the house.
My wife say's: "have some control"!
I say: "I can't promise however I'll try some day however not now"!

Anyone know if this is correct? If not, maybe someone could post a pic of a new or old top so I can check mine? (I'm not sure I understand the "screw vs. plate" way of determining the top's new/old status).

Vaping is a way of life!

I'm in LA and it looks like Delta9 vapes is in Van Nuys. Has anyone here ever gone over there? I'd probably pick up a few accessories if I could just pick them up myself. I sent an email inquiry and it bounced.
