Hey i recently got a mflb and joined this forum. The box is insane, couldnt be happier, but i have one question. Is there supposed to be a dent/crease on one side of the trench? It looks like there is a dent on the flat part raised to the side of the trench and i just want to make sure it won't cause any future problems with my box. Thanks.

A picture would do wonders!

Hey, I bought my mflb a couple months ago and this box has turned me from paper to vape :D

It's gone everywhere with me. Concerts, movies, and out with friends. Since I bought it, 7 of my friends have picked one up too. <3

Def recommend extra batteries.

Thanks for the answers guys, I ended up getting a coffee grinder but that didn't really do the job. I tried grinding up my partially AVB and the smaller pieces turned to dust and the big pieces stayed big. I just ordered that suggested grinder on Ebay, I'll let you know how it goes when I get it.

Looks like somebody's going to be getting a special coffee grinder with a little special residue (after I take it back) :brow:

So after my analyze and refresh battery thing (took about half a day), my batteries said the charging capacity was at about 2200 MAH,, these are originally 2400's, was the restore successful? could it have been more? (in should I do it again?)

This is normal. You might be able to get the capacity closer to 2400 with more refresh and analyze cycles (my reading says 3-4 times) but you might not. You have to decide whether it's worth it. Since the C9000 is programmable by slot, you could take one battery and give it 3 more cycles to see if it's worth the trouble.

Now that you got me looking, I can tell you that the trench shoulder areas in both my LBs are far from even. One of them has quite a depression in it that I'm astonished I never noticed. If this is having a detrimental effect on my LBs, I haven't been able to detect it. As long as the screen is not pulling away from the edges or the contact wire, I can't see why it would.

Also, in reading through this thread it really sounds like the li'l guy is great with stealth. I'm super paranoid (as a noob toker and living with really conservative roommates)...how much odor is this supposed to make indoors? I'm thinking about making a sploof just in case.

It's not as "smelly" IMO as other vapes, however it can really be dependent on how smelly what your vaping is. This vape was made for stealth, so the idea was that the hits would not be as noticeable in any way. Of course, using a sploof would be under the catagory of "better safe than sorry" eh? A fragrant candle or a spray or two of some room freshener should do the trick too.

Loading and hitting small, as well as keeping the screen clean, will go a long way toward keeping odor under control. You may not feel like you're getting anything with small hits when you take them, but if you wait for the effect you'll find differently. ;)

ballin'! Thanks ya'll. I'm going to make a sploof tonight just to be on the safe side with some dryer sheets and active charcoal. Hopefully no one will be able to know what hit me :ko:

My husband used to bitch every time I smoked out in the garage as he HATES the smell of herb. However, I'm able to use my box indoors because he says he can't smell anything. I agree that keeping your screen clean will help with this too.

Yeah, I'll use the mflb sitting next to my husband on the couch and unless i'm pulling big hits, he doesn't smell a thing. Hard for even me to believe.

I've been using this vape religously the last few weeks and I absolutely love the flavorful rips I get each time. I don't need to place much herb in the chamber to get a nice vaporizing experience.

Can someone please post a photo of a cashed load? I read everything suggested (vaporpedia, other pages here on this message board), but I'm still not sure if I'm finishing my herb.

I've experienced the 'burnt popcorn' taste to an extent, but even then, my herb looks somewhat light brown with some green too. If I still see green should I keep hitting it?

Please help!

Thanks in advance!

Color really varies from strain to strain and computer screen's vary in color.

If you still see green, I'd shake it up and keep vaping.

If you think the load might be cashed shake it up and take another hit. Vapor will diminish when load is done.

Some people vape until it's DONE while some of us leave a little goodies behind for tinctures, etc.

Once you get the hang of it you'll know when you're done. Practice makes perfect

That's a good point. I'm saving all my loads to bake with later. So, even if I'm not completely cashing each load, I'll still get to enjoy the "residuals" at a later time.

Thanks for the comment, Lo!

I just got my own LB last week, have used it a couple of times, kinda ify about it right now, but was the same way when I got my first Zap, I am learning, have been to the vaporpedia for info this unit, wow that is a whole lota help, I was overcome with all the knowledge I received from it, after a while of using my Zap its all I use out in the shop, been using my digger when on the road and mobile, I think that after I get the hang of this thing I will be just as excited about it as I am now with my Zap.

There is gonna be some getting used to it, what concerns me the most is loads, with my Zap it takes a very minimal amount to get where I need to be, one load in the stem is usually all I need to wet my whistle, have seemed to be using quite a bit more in the LB, is that right? How bout the users here that one of each, the Zap and the LB, as far as loads go, which uses more?

Conservation is preservation!

Same here. I've been surprised a few times, hitting a trench I thought was mostly done the following day and finding there was more to give, but I don't stress on it since anything left will be used later in an edible.

Ed, my personal feeling is that the Zap uses less. It was discussed at length here, also with comparison to other vapes:

http://www.fuckcombustion.com/viewtopic.php?id=4444

That said, you will get more hits out of a full trench and the portability of the LB is fabulous. And with the PA, the hits are consistently bigger throughout the load. With the Zap, your first hit is the biggest, then they taper down. I think they compliment eachother in a vape arsenel.

edited to add: Ed, the LB is one of those vapes where practice makes perfect, just like the Zap. I know as you get your hitting technique down, you will love this little vape.

Yeah the coffee grinder didn't really work for me either. It just made a huge mess and too much kief everywhere, when normally I can control it easier in a 2 piece grinder. I think the best method is dry your herb a day or 2 beforehand, then grind to dust in a 2 piece.

My grinder is a cheapo little wooden one I picked up online for about $8. Sometimes, after using it to grind my product, I dump the ground herb onto a paper plate and rub it between my fingers a few times. That way, I know it's nice and fine for the LB.

Hope this helps!

I have to admit it wasn't love at first hit for me either with the LB. I even considered giving up on it the first couple of times using it.

As you know by reading, there's a bit of a learning curve. However, now that I feel I've gotten pretty good at using the LB, I love it and I won't go back to combustion.

Keep practicing and I'm sure you'll learn to love it. But if you don't, no big deal either.
