I'm also surprised that no one is making more of the fact that manafort was behind the pro-russian ukrainian leader that got elected, then ousted and how well that's turned out.

EDIT

The more I think about it, the less surprised I am, the dems are keeping their powder dry...

Trump Demonstrates Why He Is Unfit for Office
by Nancy LeTourneau

It is very telling that the American Psychiatric Association felt the need to remind their members about this:

“The unique atmosphere of this year’s election cycle may lead some to want to psychoanalyze the candidates,” Maria A. Oquendo, president of the APA, wrote, “but to do so would not only be unethical, it would be irresponsible.”

As Aaron Blake goes on to explain, that ethical position from the APA is often referred to as the “Goldwater Rule,” which was first established in response to the 1964 election. It is now being re-invoked due to the candidacy of Donald Trump.

While I completely understand and support the APA’s position, Trump makes it very difficult to avoid discussing his mental fitness when he seeks the office of POTUS and makes comments like the one he did yesterday.

“Hillary wants to abolish, essentially abolish, the Second Amendment,” Donald Trump said Tuesday. “By the way, and if she gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do, folks. Although the Second Amendment people, maybe there is, I don’t know.”

First of all, he’s lying. Here is what Clinton said during her speech at the Democratic Convention:

I’m not here to repeal the 2nd Amendment. I’m not here to take away your guns. I just don’t want you to be shot by someone who shouldn’t have a gun in the first place.

We will work tirelessly with responsible gun owners to pass common-sense reforms and keep guns out of the hands of criminals, terrorists and all others who would do us harm.

But the truth is – a lot of politicians lie, especially when it comes to characterizing the positions of their opponent. It is important to recognize why Trump would lie about that. He wants gun rights activists to be afraid that Clinton threatens their 2nd amendment rights. Then he goes on to suggest they exercise those rights “if she gets to pick her judges.” As I pointed out yesterday, that would come AFTER she wins the election, so claiming he was talking about their voting rights is simply his campaign’s attempt to do damage control after these incendiary remarks.

A lot of people are pointing out that Trump knows how to play the media and this was another attempt to grab the spotlight. That view has some merit. But I think it goes deeper than that. Josh Marshall isn’t a psychiatrist and didn’t provide a medical diagnosis, but he pretty much nailed it.

You’ve seen the quote. It speaks for itself. But remember this. For Donald Trump, life is about domination. There are dominators and the dominated. Right now he’s being dominated, beaten, humiliated. That may be fun to watch if you’re a Democrat. It’s not fun for him. That psychic injury will drive escalating reactions.

The context of these remarks yesterday was the overwhelming evidence that Clinton is not only winning this election, we might be heading towards a landslide in November. Donald Trump’s brain can’t handle that reality and all his instincts are to lash out at his opponent – even to the point of threatening violence. That is exactly why he has repeatedly talked about his admiration of leaders like Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong-Un.

More than anything else he has said or done, it is this world view and his reaction to being dominated (i.e., losing) that makes Trump unfit for office.

I'm trying really hard not to get too excited about this prospect because it WILL take a major blowout, but Donald seems to be going out of his way to make this a real consideration....

Is a Democratic Majority in the House Possible?
by Nancy LeTourneau
August 10, 2016 11:37 AM

It has long been acknowledged that the Senate seats up for election in 2016 provide an opportunity for Democrats to gain the majority. But conventional wisdom has suggested that it is improbable that they could also win a majority in the House. Given the potential for a landslide in the presidential election, is that wisdom now questionable? Conservative John Podhoretz thinks so.

The same is true in the House of Representatives: A wave could net Democrats the 32 seats they’d need to take control there.

Republican consultant Adrian Gray reports that in his modeling of the race, Hillary Clinton is ahead in 54 Republican-held House districts, while Trump is ahead only in 3 Democratic districts. If this persists, and is bolstered by a Clinton margin over Trump of greater than 8 points, it’s bye-bye House.

Coming from the other side of the isle, Democratic Party officials seem to agree.

Clinton is posting double-digit leads in several vulnerable Republican districts including Rep. Bob Dold in Illinois, Florida Rep. Carlos Curbelo, California freshman Rep. Steve Knight, Rep. Mike Coffman in Colorado and Rep. Erik Paulsen in Minnesota, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee memo states.

“Donald Trump’s likely defeat in many swing districts will be a devastating anchor that drags down House Republicans all across the country,” wrote DCCC Executive Director Kelly Ward.

Personally, I’m a bit skeptical. With 435 seats up for grabs and polling that is either suspect or non-existent, these folks are relying on Clinton’s lead in Congressional districts. That might or might not be predictive.

What I can rely on is what I’m seeing on the ground in my own state. Minnesota is typically described as a “blue state” because we have voted for the Democratic presidential candidate since 1960 – with one exception in 1972. Right now 3 of the 8 Congressional districts are represented by Republicans. One of those is the seat formerly held by Michele Bachmann – which indicates it’s reliably red. But the other 2 are pretty good examples of how Donald Trump and the Republican Party’s embrace of extremism could very likely flip them this fall.

Anne Kim recently wrote about the race in the 3rd Congressional district between incumbent Republican Eric Paulson and state Senator Terri Bonoff.

One Democratic strategist says the fissures within the Republican Party have created new opportunities for Democrats who can appeal to suburban “economic moderates.”…

This emerging dynamic is also propelling Democratic momentum in the western suburbs of Minnesota’s Twin Cities, where GOP Rep. Erik Paulsen (MN-03), is facing Democratic challenger and state Senator Terri Bonoff. Unlike New Jersey’s Garrett, Paulsen is somewhat more moderate, but Bonoff says her opponent can’t shake the taint of Trump.

“Minnesota already stands out as a state that rejects Donald Trump,” says Bonoff, who notes that the state was one of the few won by former Republican presidential candidate Sen. Marco Rubio. “Donald Trump is a caricature of an extremist at its worst,” Bonoff continues. “It provides an opening for a contrast, and that is why I’m running.”

I have written previously about the race in the 2nd Congressional district. In yesterday’s primary, Republicans affirmed their choice of radio shock-jock Jason Lewis (who Roll Call referred to as a “mini-Trump”) as their candidate to run against Angie Craig.

In the current climate, it is clear that both of these races are winnable by the Democratic candidates. That would give this state an 7 to 1 majority of Democrats in the House. That is in a state where 5 of the 8 districts typically “lean” Republican. Perhaps others are seeing similar possibilities on the ground in their home states. If so…it is very likely that we could see a Democratic majority in the House.

So Trump as well as ALL of his surrogates and supporters and his VP have stated that the ONLY reason for the big brouhaha over Trumps "call to violence" during his 2nd Amendment speech is the liberal medias spin on putting a negative connotation on everything that he says.

And what does the Fox say:brow::

44 more/new Clinton email released today.
"The emails, many of which are heavily redacted, raise questions about the Clinton Foundation's influence on the State Department and its relations during her tenure."

This is like the 3rd strange death since the DNC leak. "Democratic National Committee emails were leaked a few weeks ago, three people associated with the DNC have all been found dead under what could be questionable circumstances. "

I got nothin... :bang:

ok, edit:

DNC staffer Seth Rich was mysteriously murdered in the streets of Washington, D.C., on July 10.

Shawn Lucas, along with filmmaker Ricardo Villaba, served the DNC on July 3 with a complaint and summons in a fraud action on behalf of Sanders supporters. In the video, he can be seen grinning, happy to do it.

On August 2, he was found lying on the bathroom floor dead by his girlfriend when she came home that evening. His girlfriend said he was in good health.

The former President of the United Nations General Assembly, John Ashe, mysteriously passed away on June 22, a few days before he was scheduled to begin pretrial meetings involving shady financial dealings regarding a former Clinton crony. Local police officers said he died from dropping a barbell on his throat while working out, but the UN oddly first claimed he died of a heart attack.

The host of Real Time With Bill Maher insisted to Julian Assange last week that he didn’t donate $1 million to Hillary Clinton as the Wikileaks editor-in-chief alleged – but he might. Today, reps for Maher tell Deadline that the comedian may actually write such a deep-pocket check if the former Secretary of State appears on his HBOshow in the next few months.

Wikileaks' Julian Assange Questions Bill Maher On Hillary Donation, Later Says Trump Tax Return...

“He did say he would consider giving a $1 million dollar donation to her Super Pac should she come on Real Time prior to the election,” a Maher spokesperson said Monday as the host and his show are taking a few weeks off. That’s a departure from what Maher said on August 5 when he told Assange and viewers that “I can’t give a million dollars anytime somebody runs for president” after the Wikileaks chief pressed the HBO host on whether he would actually donate to Clinton in 2016 like he did to President Barack Obama’s 2012 reelection campaign.

Appearing via satellite from the his 4-year asylum home in the Ecuadoran embassy in London, Assange sought to snare Maher on cable with a very specific item from the hacked DNC emails that Wikileaks released last month just before the Dems HRC-fest in Philadelphia.

“Just before I came in here, we thought we’d do a little search in our files and I do notice that a William Maher gave a Clinton-affiliated entity $1 million,” Assange said on Real Time on Friday. “Now, it’s a William Maher that’s in L.A. where the money came from. Perhaps you’d like to comment – is that you?” The HBO host called Bill Maher said it wasn’t him – he asserts the same today through his reps.

With Hillary and Trump how do we not discuss conspiracy theories in the presidential thread. 50% of the time that's what it's turned into. Now with the trickle of Hillary's emails and all of Trump's stupid stuff it's a regular carnival of rediculousness.

People will get pissed and just vote 3rd party.

From what I've been reading the family of seth rich has asked that people stop spreading rumours about being related to wikileaks as it's hampering the real investigation. I've also seen someone try and attribute the death of someone from cancer to this too. Humans look for patterns that fit even if there are none to be found.

I had read that today that a DNC staff person was murdered last week. They had said it he was robbed but his money, watch and credit cards were still on his body is what his parents said. They also said that 2 others were also murdered and they were tied to the DNC too because the article said a total of 3 people associated with the DNC. The conspiracy thickens.

Edit
I don't know how much is true? It could be just rumors. It depends on how much more we will hear. Not everything on the net is true.

Serial DNC killer?

Fuck. We got over 90 days to go. This shit's just beginning. Trump just told his supporters that Obama founded ISIS. Abu Musab al-Zarqawi is turning in his grave over that one and Baghdadi is doing one of these:

It's all rumours and that's the problem, the only thing that you can be sure of is that 1 person was murdered by person(s) unknown and 2 other people died, there is zero supporting evidence that the 2 others died under suspicious circumstances.

I seem to recall people in here saying that "the DNC being rigged" was also a wild conspiracy theory? hmmm.

Conspiracy theory
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
For other uses, see Conspiracy theory (disambiguation)
For other types of "conspiracy theory", see Conspiracy (civil), Conspiracy (criminal), and List of conspiracies (political)

A conspiracy theory is an explanatory or speculative hypothesis suggesting that two or more persons, or an organization, have conspired to cause or cover up, through secret planning and deliberate action, an event or situation typically regarded as illegal or harmful. The term conspiracy theory has derogatory connotations, suggesting explanations that invoke conspiracies without warrant, often producing hypotheses that contradict the prevailing understanding of historical events or simple facts.[3][4][5][6]

My daughter is Bipolar. When she is deep within a cycle she sees patterns everywhere. It is within us. It is what gives us the ability to read and see constellations in the sky. It is not as useful for examining politics.

I was called a conspiracy theorist for assuming the NSA was involved with mass data collection before any Snowden revelations came out. It just seemed logical that the NSA or similar agencies would collect as much data as they can, as analyzing data real time is very difficult, and so it must be stored.

I've also been a called a conspiracy theorist for believing the Arab Spring was assisted by the United States. Recently it came out that Google Ideas has been supporting using technology/platforms like twitter and applications which track defections within foreign governments. Considering the guy who runs google ideas was involved with supporting the opposition against the Iranian government during the 2009 civil unrest, I think it's definitely fair to say that there is evidence, and I am not just connecting dots.

It's not just bipolar people who see patterns. Engineers are trained to see patterns too. I am not bipolar, and the medication I am for epilepsy is used off label on bipolar people, so I highly doubt that I am even at risk for that kind of thing. I don't believe anybody was behind 9/11 except for Al Qaeda. I don't believe Obama is a lizard. I don't believe vaccines cause autism.

There might not have been proof the DNC is corrupt, but the evidence was there for enough people, like myself, to suspect foul play.

It's funny, the people who discredit conspiracy theories without any consideration are often the same people who will believe whatever their government tells them even if it means dragging our country into another useless war. Then when the wars a failure they turn around and say that it was a bad idea retrospectively, but that there was no way of seeing it before. Of course if you had told them it was a mistake before hand you would be labeled as a conspiracy theorist. It was a conspiracy theory to believe that the Bush administration lied about Saddam's WMDs. That's now been proven. I could dig up that video of Bernie warning about the Iraq war, but I think that point has been made enough.
