Random duration of super loud horns, day and night. It's almost as though these trains are on a schedule or something. A few engineers lay on the horn like they're expecting it to hatch
There was a "quiet zone"/no-horns rule through downtown SD for years. Recent pedestrian fatalities last week led to a reversal of the quiet zone. I'm readjusting now, passing through the stages of grief. But, still a bit stuck on anger, given the monthly rent

Besides, those steel posts supporting the tracks make for great car chase scenes in movies.I love Downtown SD. It's designed better than all but 2 or 3 cities in the country. But trains in a dense urban area either need to be under the ground, or significantly above it.
