I tried getting it to focus, couldnt tho haha, watch in HD, I start the video with the new modes and cycle through, the last mode seen is the classic party mode for comparison- If the video is unclear feel free to ask. I am off to systematically blaze on all these settings now :o wish me luck!
edit- let me know if that link does not work the video is set to private

Thats the light saber mode haha- it goes nuts when you shake it, if you move it slow it looks so cool it only changes ever so slightly but I couldnt get it to show up on camera
yep, you can see I accidentally activate it towards the end of the video. (the yellow blink)
    - just heard from one of the guys at Ploom, he said they are mostly cosmetic, then tells me "I personally have not really played around with them that much (that's how fresh they are) but you may find something interesting if you keep fiddling around" Cool! Eye candy :) dont know if hes hinting at that I dont have it figured out yet, or if he just doesnt know haha.

INFAMOUS!!!! I miss you, your at home watching TV while im at work. :(
I see a lot of glass on glass in that case, is it really safe? Can you drop it on the floor and the glass will stay intact?

I definitely need a better way to travel with it then wrapping it in the original bubble wrap, thats for sure. lol

Edit: Couldnt wait for a response, I pulled the trigger anyway LOL. I dont use that piece on the right side so it should fit a bit easier without it.
    Thanks.

Been having some trouble keeping my screen "jammed" in place. It's not a problem when I'm just packing material in on top of it but later when I stir stuff up some of it can get drawn underneath and then into the tube and come up through the mouthpiece. Bad. I've ordered some new screens from Ploom but has anybody got any suggestions on wedging it in?

Coming out of lurky waters to say that I have had my Pax since the first batch shipped in August. It has been through many ounces, falls, and cleanings and I am still in love. I have had the temp light issue but I avoid this by cleaning every time the battery is depleted. My temperature button has been stuck for a while but I never sent it back because I always kept it on high all the time. One day the temp reset back to medium by itself and I have been using it that way for awhile. My battery seems to have degraded a bit over the months of daily usage and I do miss the punch of hits on high. I decided to send it back to VW for repair or replacement.

To those of you who have sent it back for the stuck temp button: did they repair or replace your unit with a new one?

Tbh, let it get a bit dirty. I notice the screen is loose after I do a really good cleaning, but soon the sides get resin deposits and hold it better. Also try to angle it so the screen is angled with a gap over the tube

The screen in my first Pax would never stay in and always popped out. I tried 3 different screens with the same results.

Then i had to send my Pax in due to the stuck temp button. Now putting the screen in the new replacement Pax goes in on the first try every time.

Not sure if there are size differences with the inner diameter of the ovens. But IMO if the oven is wider by just an hair could cause the screen to pop out. :2c:

I just started experiencing the stuck temp button. it doesn't get stuck but it does need to be pressed a few times. Anybody know what causes this?

I had some serious goop in the bottom when I first started using it in November and the screen stayed put. Then I got hip to cleaning it with 91% iso while ON. Very clean, perhaps too clean. I'll clean away from that area and let it goop up a bit to see if that helps. Unless the new screens solve the problem. Thanks.

[IMG]Sooo.... I found a 4th temperature setting on the pax last night! Turning it on one of the party modes and then changing it allows me to get a 4th temp setting. FINALLY had a pax for a show! Its fucking. Boss. People were walking around with ecigs that were completely allowed. SO a few things, I hit mine with my thumb over the light, I stood behind tall people hitting it. One kid saw me and wanted it really bad, he looked like a sketch ball and I didnt want him to hit it out in the open so I declined to pass it :\ felt like a dick but It was my first day with it and I seem to have the worst luck in the world. He ended up fallowing me around and telling me "I know what that is!" My friend found me right as I finished (I smoked an entire bowl right up front), I asked if it smelt and he said flat out not at all. I love this thing!
Edit- Also, I was waving my shit around on party mode at first like it was one of those stupid blinky things errr'body has, people were asking about where I got it (They had no idea it was a vape, I didnt tell them:lol: ) Pritty damn brilliant use of party mode :D hahaha- ITS JUST A BLINKY THING SEE?!?! ITS GOT A BUILT IN FOG MACHINE TO ENHANCE THE LIGHTS! haha

Hell yeah dude! You rock! Glad my little mod worked out for you. I'd suggest some keck clips, I find that people just wanna grab the infamous bub by the mouthpiece. After multiple near drops I ran out and grabbed some clips. That little bub is badass! I've since bought a m to m adapter and dome and nail setup and it makes a sweet little oil rig too!

Lower than yellow It seems, I can check with a laser thermometer later. Probably works good for keef. One of the party modes lowers all current temps too I've found, I put it on a random party mode last night and my friend commented that it stopped hitting as nice, I switched the mouthpiece down and popped it back up for normal mode, and it took a bit to heat to the current setting, making me think its lower. I can confirm or disprove this later too.

If anything I am the beta tester hahah, which is ironic because I complained before how I felt like a beta tester on a previous model.

Just got my new replacement pax from VW
Im excited all over again. This one seems to have a different paint job with a texture compared to my smooth aluminum one.. is this newer or older model?

The mouth piece sounds like its grinding when I push down.

damn that looks sexy, do you notice a much rougher finish than before? The grinding will stop after one use probably, every model I owned was extremely stiff at first.
