Oh wait, is that what that annoying thing was that got in the way every now and then?

I just fast forwarded automatically when that happened, my mousehand seems to have a mind of it's own at times.

    :p

I guess 'they' aren't a very good sales tool if they make you forget why you're viewing the vid. ;)

Didn't want to derail the grinder thread with further discussion of pollen boxes so figured I create this one.

Been in the market for one myself for both a grinder dump AND for some dry sifting, and was interested in the Hazemaker boxes until following up on the mention of the Exotic Zombie line..... now THAT looks awesome & love the idea of a removable catch tray

Found a seller within Canada for the EZ's and might pull the trigger next week unless others have reasons not to. They sell them here: http://trimmerpro.com/pollen-extractors/pollen-sifter-boxes.html

So I'd like to hear what others have been using, and their likes/dislikes (especially if owning one of these Exotic Zombie's).

Also, if those of you who DO have an EZ... when you chose your 'size', was that the internal or overall outside dimension size ?

    TIA for sharing......

There is some good info. in this old thread. In fact, I suppose yours could be combined with it.

I'm going to write my own review of the EZ in a couple days, but the review here is pretty spot on. My only difference of opinion is that the 7x7 might not be big enough to not be a little awkward at times. The 7" width is fine, but I might like a 9" length instead ()... but then, that might just be too big (get it out of the gutter!)..... I'll think about that for a while and get back to you....

My overall outside is 7 x 7.... the actual workspace is about 5.5 x 5.5

OOOP's I did search out if a threads was created already or not but guess my 'search-foo' wasn't up to the task with the terminology I used........ I'll ask a mod to merge this one with the older one.

Thanks, but my wallet burned a hole in my pocket and I went ahead and order the 10x10 EZ box from trimmerpro since they are in Canada. I doubt I'll be disappointed in my buy ;)

    Sweet! With a 10 x 10, I think you are definitely set!

I don't know how it works buying through that distributor.... but when I bought mine directly, it took exactly two weeks until it shipped. I did not get any notification that my order was received other than from PayPal, and was notified by PayPal when it shipped. No E-mails from Exotic Zombie, even though at one point I rather impatiently asked for an order update. In their FAQs, it sorta spells out that they don't care much for order updates, in my opinion. I'm just mentioning it because it may take a while, but they ARE working on it, and man.... when you get it, and feel how HEAVY the thing is, you're going to just LOVE it. They also have a Facebook page and a Twitter page, if you want to ever try to communicate with them there.

Also, you might want to let it sit out, open, for a day or two. The thing has a major (and lovely) wood smell when you first unwrap it that decreases but stays semi-noticeable and that surprisingly does not seem to impart on the herb...

Well.... just wanted to report back on my purchase of the EZ which I havn't received yet and most likely won't for another week because Trimmerpro.com IS ONLY A DROP SHIP COMPANY FOR THAT PRODUCT !!!!

Really pisses me off because a) I expected to receive the product within a couple days via UPS from a 'claimed' authorized distributor within Canada and located in Montreal, and b) I paid more for the product when I could have ordered direct from EZ with better options of wood offerings for less money AND received the same approx shipping times.

I'll most likely be very happy with the product itself based on reviews/comments of them, but just wanted to vent on my dealings with Trimmerpro.com for what "I" consider to be a bait & switch experience (not product, but with their implied service).

WEAK! Sorry about your experience, dude... but what do you expect when you live in frickin' Canada?! I mean... seriously!

But really, that totally sucks... hopefully your experience will at least help others. :)

The good news is that it will be worth the time and trouble.

    And it certainly was.........

Instead of Red Oak I received a Mahogany one which suits me fine because I like that woodgrain. The 10x10 I got works like a charm !! Very nice light colored kief.

The removable catch glass and removable screen are the cats arse.... very easy to use. I was a little disappointed the glass was clear instead of dark tint, but that can be rectified easy enough.

I will say this though... as much as I am pleased with my purchase, I truly believe I can make one of these for less and have a 'cleaner' finish. I'll have to look into that when I finish my workshop this summer. Even TrimmerPro said they'd gladly purchase from a quality Canadian supplier.... soooooooo, it's begging an attempt.

The darker glass would be a nice touch.

Maybe it will be on my next pollen box - imported from Canada!

Still rockin the EZ box :freak: although I find I prefer manually sifting it instead of shaking the box... personal choice I suppose ;) and I do like it quite a bit.

I do intend to play with manufacturing one myself this year with tighter tolerances for better piece fitment, along with some tweaks to better the design.
