No im saying that most vapes are a bit inaccurate on the temp reading. The f2 is probably a bit hotter than 360 when you put it on 360 which would explain the big clouds at that temp. Its not a full 30 degrees off though, its far less than that, maybe just a few degrees.

at least I keep the thread on topic ;)

this. especially when microdosing it's very important to keep as much "beef" from conducting, so shutting it off after around 70% pull is a must.
i definitely notice a bit of post conduction as opposed to a pure convection such as my Tubo.

I recently got my first (and second) Vapcap. I mention it here, because it was the first time I’d used a carb hole since my combustion days, several years ago.

Then I read this last week, and it got me intrigued:
I finally remembered to try it tonight - basically use the air intake holes like the carb hole on my VC. Closing them off completely for a few seconds and then feathering made for some extra thick clouds! Of course by doing this, it makes draw resistance tougher, but fun to do none the less.
I highly recommend trying it out at least once!

@OF (and others who mentioned same thing) - it should be completely closed off when you cover the air intake holes. If you have air coming in from somewhere else, I am pretty sure you should get it fixed. Here’s an old post from @HealthyRips.com

Is there a release for the capsules yet?"
HR said: "Hi, Yes - we just got word that the capsules will be finished on May 2nd. We should have them on our website by May 10th."

Got my fingers crossed. I've had my F2 since January and pretty much only use it with the WPA and the bent glass. Bought it specifically because HR said in December that dosing caps would be arriving soon. I spend a lot of time outside and I adore the S-B dosing caps for my Crafty, infinitely easier to load in wind/snow, much cleaner, convenient. Looking forward to the HR dosing caps so that I can use my F2 in the field, as it heats up so much faster, I like the smaller form factor, and I like being able to adjust the temp without needing to keep my phone handy.

Im finding it impossible to resist owning one of these and have just a few more questions before pulling the trigger.
-I know the unit has almost no draw resistance with the stock mouthpiece. How much resistance do the glass WPAs/mouthpieces add?
-Does the vapor path collect flower particulates all the way to the end like my Sticky Brick Jr, (which would be highly visible with the bent stem) or does it only collect oil residue? If it collects alot of particles I will run an additional filter.
Do you notice a difference in the vapor quality between the bent glass MP and the WPA when used as the MP? I want to use the glass as my full time MP...im not going to use the stock MP at all. So now i have to decide if the extra bulk of the bent stem is worth it. If it produces noticeably cooler vapor than the WPA when used as a MP, i will get the bent stem.

To answer some of your questions, this is exactly how I use mine pretty much 95% of the time, both with the xl wpa and bent mouthpiece. I actually prefer the bent one, as it does noticeably cool the Vapor vs the wpa. Not sure if it is due to the bend, or slightly longer path it has to travel, or both, but it works. You can also swivel it around so it bends back towards the screen, when used in this way it is only marginally more bulky then the wpa. The bent stem seems to catch a decent amount of both reclaim and tiny particulate, especially when it's getting coated with honey. I've never experienced any super noticeable scooby snacks with either, but based on the amount in the stem, it wouldn't shock me either, but 99% of them don't seem to make it past the bend in the glass. It all very, very tiny particles, like a grain of sand or slightly bigger. Draw resistance doesn't seem to take a hit with the glass, unless you pack it too tight. I hope this helps, and if you have any more questions, please fire away!

While the bent glass is my favorite for both taste
and ergonomics, I wouldn’t say it is “noticeably cooler” than the WPA.

Everyone's different I suppose! I just feel like it's a bit cooler and less harsh for me. Maybe noticeably was a poor word choice, somewhat cooler would probably be a better way to describe it.

about the draw resistance, i can only say that I personally feel resistance. about 50% more that the Tubo, which really has NO resistance whatsoever.
the Fury with the MP has decent flow. but still limited.
i use it only outside for stealth and ease of use. so i can live with it.

i guess they still have a bit more delay. i'm pretty sure they'll let as know ASAP.

    Hi All,
We apologize for the delayed update on the dosing capsules - just now finding time to catch up with this post. If everything goes as planned - we should have the dosing capsules by the end of next week. We received word on Wednesday that they were being packed and shipped by this Friday. We have been reluctant to continuously give updates until we had a more definitive completion date. On a positive note - we have been testing the samples and they work amazingly well. We will make another announcement and adding the capsules to our website store the day we have them in our hands. These capsules are small and have been difficult to manufacture because we decided to use stainless steel as opposed to simply stamping out aluminum capsules (which would have been much less time and expense).

Thank you again for your patience!

I am most interested to see the finished product.
Patients with access to a friend/caregiver for a few minutes a day, could tidy up, and
set the user up for the day.

I've been on a spate of inadvertent criticism of my Fury 2 recently because I mostly vape at home and prefer the vapor quality of my Solo II.

I just started using my Fury 2 with the standard wpa and a D020 and I couldn't be happier with the results. The Fury 2 was my first vape and I'm tickled to have such a great new way to appreciate it.

The microdosing screens from HR didn't work for me but I'm keen to try the new stainless capsules as I've been happy with the device and the company. Plus I like microdosing so my F2 will be a triple threat with those little guys!

They should make one hit and quit users happy as well. You can heat the unit, pop in a cap, take a hit, and turn it off and pop out the cap for later.

It should keep the top screen cleaner.

It will make using it easier to load and unload, for those times when your not sitting at your vape station.

I know the mighty capsules work great and imho are worth using, and I'm sure healthy rips capsules will be too.

Hey HR, I just wanted to reach out to you and offer my services. Unlike the other Ne're-do-wells around here who would just sit around, waiting lazily for these caps to come to them. I am willing to help speed up the delivery by going to the manufacturer for you, pick up the dosing cap supply myself and then transport them back to you.

Of course, there would be the professional courtesy of allowing me access to supply where I could ensure satisfactory manufacturing before leaving the warehouse, and so forth. And I have a few friends who would want to ride shotgun, and of course they'll need their caps too.... call me, we'll talk ;)

Man I can't wait for when the capsules are finally released. I keep putting the planned release dates on my calendar and checking the site that day, fml. Been waiting for them since they were first talked about on the thread. They would make the maintenance on the fury way easier.

Thanks for the advice, but I think I'll pass for a number of reasons:
    • my leak is minor
    • I don't want to make Fury take a big hit (the cost of a single return wipes out the profit from a pile of units). I'd much rather they use that money for new products......or lower prices?
    • I know there's no such thing as 'evil, toxic electronic fumes'. If there were, I'd sure be more worried about those coming from my computer, monitor (both on 24/7) and the big screen TV that's usually on many hours a day. Fear what you want, of course, but I'll stick to real health risks.
    Best weekend wishes to all.

@OF I completely respect your decision. TBH, I wasn’t even thinking about any health risk, I was just thinking it might not be up to peak performance.
But I am totally with you on letting these guys make a profit. We need to support the good green startups because profits equal growth which leads to more jobs which leads to more respectability / acceptance in the Industry which will ultimately lead it to legal changes. (Sorry for OT)

Thanks. FWIW the only possible reason to worry I can see is the (false) health risk. Otherwise, what's the concern? I can't see any way it could effect performance WRT making vapor. The only possible change I can see otherwise is slightly less restriction on the draw.....and I seriously doubt anyone can detect/use it as it's nearly trivial? Mine is working just fine IMO. I'm sure not going to put it in a box and send it to some stranger......

    Regards to all,

I placed my order. I feel my life is incomplete without this little guy. Got it with the bent glass to use full time.

Can you leave the glass pieces in the unit when its powered off? My understanding is you can only insert the glass when it's fully up to temp, otherwise it doesn't fit.. does that mean leaving it in when off will create enough pressure to break the glass? Sorry if this has already been asked, I perused a chunk of the thread and couldn't find anything about it.

First time it has been brought up, good point, I have never done it as it is much easier to keep clean if you dump the contents straight after vaping and I just leave my wpa in a stand until next use.
I would not leave it in myself, my first wpa was a bit out of round and was very hard to insert(even preheated) Healthy Rips sent me a replacement straight away that still fits very tightly and is hard to insert cold(I don`t do it as a rule, just saying) At the least you would have to heat again just to remove the glass piece and these only have a smallish battery.

We discussed it early on, and my take away was it is safer to take out the glass before it cools down to prevent possible “stretching” of the oven which would cause loose stems later on. I have no idea if that is a true possibility, I remember reading about it in the Solo thread way-back-when, and have always taken out the stem as a precaution.
When I am using the WPA, I just flip it over and let it sit in oven upside down. You can’t do that with the bent stem, which is probably why I don’t use it as often as the WPA.
