Hey, everyone!

(@VapCap & @Arielle.Dynavap please be sure to read from the asterisked paragraph on down.)

I know that in time I'm gonna fall in deep love with the vapcap. Got the M & the Ti XL, but haven't tried the Ti yet (I've been too lazy to have to take the o-rings off & then condition them when replacing. I don't have nimble fingers &, as such, don't have the patience for such intricacy. Besides I got a C in arts & craft in 3rd grade school & it's been haunting me ever since! :mental:)

Have had successes & failures with the M over the past week. Combusted once - tonight! Was so busy talking & paying attention to my friend, I got lost in heating & eventually realized that for the longest time I didn't hear the click. Well, the cap was glowing like charcoal! Think the cap is still OK. Still clicking, but don't know if the interval from heating commencement to click time or the cool-down click interval is right.

Burnt my self a # of times on my fingers & thighs (shorts) so I'm learning that I have to be mindful of the hot cap.

Been reading back through the threads & keeping a list of informative posts by vapcap categories like concentrate, heating techniques & such for when I'm ready to refer to them. :sherlock:

***Anyway, the reason I'm posting is because I know that George & Arielle keep up with the board so I thought I would put out my requests, & if anyone had recommendations for them, they could post them successive to mine. George isn't a mind reader & can't possibly know what we want unless we tell him. So, my requests are: (Yes, I know that to some these may be trivial, but they'd make my vapcap experience happier.)

1) I'd like the Ti Omni XL tubies to be sold individually because I use the fat mouthpiece & when it is mounted on the M, the vapcap fits perfectly in the XL tubie. (I had the misfortune of already losing one in the 1st day & 1/2 when my bag tore at the seam & it had to have fallen out.) It's a no-brainer to store them & transport them when attached, otherwise you have to transport them loose or in something like a pill bottle -- inconvenient & bulky & extra annoyance in digging through a bag to find.

And I want to pick up ones that are dedicated to dropping the XL into the tubie with cleaning solution (think @flotntoke mentioned this in a post I came across the other day).

I'd like there to be 2 or 3 color options that are not green or purple. Yes, I know these are Dynavap's flagship colors, but what I'm looking to accomplish is to know quickly, visually, that, say, the white tubes are used for the XL & the M w/ mp. This way, I can just grab those white ones & I'm good to go. And a different color tube would signify cleaning tubes.

And I'd like a XXL tube that would house the Ti XL with mp attached.

These suggestion allow for organization & convenience. Just call it "female domestic engineering", i.e. housekeeping.

2) I wish the design of the mouthpiece could be changed slightly, like taking the lower lip indentation/dimple out of the silicone mold & making it flat or, say, there could be a firmness difference between the top & bottom of the mp or maybe both. I don't know if lips are sensitive enough to register such subtle differentiation, but, currently, (especially in a dark car at night), after the heating click you have to run your fingers around the body searching for the carb hole, very uncomfortable when the lower 1/2 of the M is hot! Maybe even the top & bottom being different colors, say white & black, so that even in low light you could ascertain which side was the top.

Also, would like a white mp.

3) With shipping costs the way they are, I like 1 stop shopping. I'd like to see you cell the pipe liners sold in bulk pages of say 25, 50 or 100.

4) A highly portable dedicated induction heater like this:

http://imgur.com/kbYj5Um

This way I could have Pipes' Portside for home use & a truly portable one on the go.

5) Good quality cotton t-shirts that say "Respect the Click" ... with the dynavap logo, of course. ;) Can't rock purple or green, but lavender & black would be great!

Whether or not any of my suggestions come to fruition, thanks for allowing me my say in this lengthy post. Apologies to anyone who's annoyed that I took up too much thread real estate.

BTW, I finally got an avatar up. Don't know if its keeper, but as I've said, I've been lazy lately, so it'll do for now.

Have a good one all!

Hey @Summer - don't know if you have one, but it sounds like you definitely need a magnet. That will save you from getting burnt (gives you a place to put your hot vapcap).

Funny you should say that! I was just on dynvap.com & the $5 magnets are back under Accessories. I think I'm gonna attach a mag to one of those tin Altoid? mint containers someone posted about for use in the car. My problem is after I take a toke, I swing my hands around & inevitably hit skin.

Had a good response to the next list so far, I'll leave it open for at least another week or so, gives me a bit of time to get other stuff done and build up a bit of stock.

Funny the majority of enquiries have come from people who are relatively new to the forum, all those of you who've been here for a while must still be recovering from the last sale.
Don't forget to use the PM from our first conversation, not a new one.

When I found this material, like so many things these days, I immediately thought, Hmmm, I bet I can incorporate that into a sweet vaporizer.

It is Mokume.

And there are many more cool things to come!

Cheers,

George
@VapCap what ever happened to the Mokume vapcap? I found this whilst going over some older posts and it made my jaw hit the floor. I would buy one in a heartbeat.

happy camper....
Do any of you know if the PYROVAP is no longer offered (for vaping eliquids/ejuices)?

Add... I just found the Pyrovap thread and it looks like this mod has been put on the back burner, so I'll write to DV if I need to find out if they're still working on it. If anyone here knows, then I won't bother DV. :)

So did you put those indentations around the airhole? Great job! :)
Yes.
I've bought half a meter of Titanium grade 2 from e-bay about $10 ( ID 8 mm / OD 10 mm ) .
Cut it in smaller pieces ( 62 mm for stem or 45 mm for body )and then attach each time
a piece on the choke of a hand drill -instead of a lathe .....the rest I'm sure you can imagine .
Was quite thrilling machining small parts of Ti like that !

Cheers.

Was out of town when my battery independence day order arrived so just got to play with the new toys this weekend. Here's a pic of my current Frankenvap

Love the new omni body. Currently have an SS tip, regular condenser, & exotic wood mouthpiece on it. Quite nice if I do say so myself

I like it !!

Cleaned up my Vapcap today and installed a new screen. I love the 1st few hits off of a freshly cleaned VC. Oh was it tasty!! I love the flavor on this device and I'm getting really good at using it :) I have a nice ritual going with it and I feel like I'm getting to know this vape, so to speak, even the turning and heating of it has been much more consistent. My skeletor should be arriving soon. Looking forward to "testing" it out when it arrives :)

I can tell I'm in the minor leagues, here: I find my tip and condenser stay awfully clean, no matter how much I use them. I was soaking them in ethanol monthly...but they really just never seem to need it, so I've stopped.

Now I inspect them monthly. Not that I'm indifferent to hygiene, y'unnerstand
Well, the branding on the pic above says ZICO. I personally am not sure of the model#, but another company puts out the same lighter. JOBON Fling Series ZB-365

THE SAME lighters, different brands...nothing new at all
Do you guys ever feel a need to stir your vapcap bowls? Or do you just vape until you are done with the bowl?

I have, but there's no 'clean way to do it - always makes more of a mess than I feel like dealing with right that moment...

The magnet is a must-have! I have three: two on Altoids tins, one on a cleaned-out tin of mustache wax. Gives you a safe and heat-sinky place to put it after the cool-down.

I haven't really stirred yet, but I'm thinking that maybe I should (?)

I haven't developed any personal technique preference yet, but when I throw in a nub, I do use the tip of the cap to stir after taking the 1st 2 or 3 hits depending on how big the nub was. I don't find it at all messy in using the cap tip to give a stir, only HOT! as I have to use either either tissue, or paper or cotton toweling to remove the cap.

Wow, have you guys seen this video before on this thread? If so, sorry for redundancy. I'm also gonna cross-post to the vc induction thread just in case you haven't seen it before. This is so cool, especially for me, since I've already planned on getting the Evo straight-away as soon as my living situation changes & I can vape indoors.

I've had the M now for about 10 days now & tonight was my best with it yet it. And it's only gonna get better.

New torch...had to get something to hold me over until my envelope arrives.

this torch is cool as fuck...circular sriker, like a box and the dial in the middle locks the flame, so you don't have to hold anything down while you use it.

And the flame is super skinny and precise

don't know the model number...LHS had it randomly alone.
I believe it's a model from 2014.

The new Omni is so beautiful, have much fun with it. Although i own the previous version, i can hardly resist to get this one.... any chance there is a functional difference which could help me justify it?

@Doktor Dub - the main functional difference is the ease of spinning compared to the original smooth rounded body. Why not buy just the new body on its own if a new onnivap is out of your price range?

I have never found the cap to cause a mess while stirring during a session. However I mostly pre grind now and find a mid session stir not to be required.

If I do need to stir I just gently blow on the cap for a few seconds and it cools it down enough to be able to handle.

Woohoo! Got my (green) VC packet!
Thank you, George! Thank you, Arielle! Thank you, V-Cats!
Now, all I half-ta do is find a friend, or 2....:freak::rofl:

yeah, everything's better with friends...I remember....

That's what I did: couldn't swing another Omni, so ordered the body and the 5-fin tip - double-plus good!

I grind, and in all the times I've tried to 'stir' I have SPILLED instead, or the 'stir' was ineffectual; now, I go for AVB that's less chocolatey

I use a little spoon thingy I got way back with my V2Pro Series 3 vape. As I don't fill the chamber beyond 2/3 I've never had any trouble stirring.

However I don't bother anymore, I've found that at 2/3 full bowl with medium ground herb toasts evenly enough for me.
