@Mister G : You're right, it was a question about the ti model. George did say that parts would be interchangeable, so I'm guessing there will be a single ti tip for all body styles. Also, I'd be more concerned about stopping heat transfer with an all ti body than a wood body.
Glass and wood are both fantastic insulators, whereas ti transfers so much heat that ti nails are notorious for breaking rigs, and drop downs or adapters are necessary to protect glass. I wouldn't want that heat coming for my lips or fingers during heavy use.

@VapCap That's a bummer, but paypal takes too big a cut anyway. You're on your way to bigger and better things now!

Will definitely send an email to PayPal, that sucks. Will probably say it is an aid in stopping smoking rather than drug paraphernalia or something.

On the air path discussion for the Ti Wood - I was actually hoping the vapor path would be through the wood rather than a Ti tube or glass. I would rather the wood impart a flavour on my vapor and slowly change with all the different bud that goes through it. Might just be me though...

You're prob right about those rings, but Farmer wasn't talking about the Wood/Ti, I believe he was referring to the completely Ti unit:

Oh, I was referring to the Ti tip, either in an all-Ti Vapcap or the woody version. But the point is that they are there to keep heat away from the stem, right?

Sorry about the Paypal, they suck big time! They had blocked my account a couple of years ago as well cause I wasn't able to sent them all the ridiculous paper work they needed for a simple dispute!
Bitcoins maybe?

Hey petro, I am currently using eds TNT wood adapter for my minivap. The problem with wood is the odor. It tends to absorb, and will be hard to store inconspicuously. Unless you get airtight case. just my opinion.

You got it- those heat fins will help keep the stem cool, and will save the wood model from charring.

The problem with wood is the odor.

I agree.

I really like my vapman, but even with the most conscientious use the middle piece will char and degrade, eventually causing fitment and air leak issues. If you happen to accidentally combust in a vapman, the combustion flavor is nearly impossible to remove, because the wood cannot be thoroughly cleaned without the use of acetone. It's also difficult to clean resin from the bore of the wooden stem, and what can be removed is unusable because of the amount of contaminant.

I think having the feel and appearance of wood combined with a ti air path will be great.

Yes,
The drama continues. PayPal apparently considers my stop smoking device paraphernalia and froze my account. I'm working on an alternative.
Please feel free to send them a message to let them know they are wrong.

Thanks,

George
PayPal sux, they and ebay are very anti-vape (though ebay sells anti ape stuff all the time that doesn't get taken down, some vendors get their stuff blocked day in, day out). Sorry you're catching so much flak in the payment acceptance area!

Now we all feel better George.
Having lived with the VapCap for some time now, the simplicity causes me to keep thinking, "How did someone not think of this earlier?" That is not to diminish George's brilliant innovation at all, but now, looking at the Ti and Ed's stem, the introduction of such beautiful craftsmanship, on top of simple flawless function, moves this from clever utility to art.
With all it has going for it, AND it's affordable price point, I predict every vaporist will have a VapCap one day!

I have the same feeling buddy, even though I don't yet enjoy a Vapcap like you, this little fella has a bright future waiting ahead! :D So, where does it stand in your beautiful signature after all this time? :D

Hm wait, they froze your paypal account with all our pre-orders money still on it or did you have time to move it back to your company bank account?

I've heard many horror stories where the paypal account money was untouchable for over 6 months, and in some cases they simply steal it completely from you in the end...

How/when will we be able to pick a color for the wood stem of our preorders @VapCap?

Also I've just noticed Ed's tag and the name on the cap are not "facing" the same way, you might wanna change that to fine tune the aesthetic.

EDIT: oh right, you have to deal with paypal first!! :rant:Let's hope they'll come to their senses :goon:
EDIT #2: the names comment should probably be more addressed to @Ed's TnT

I'm sure many people had this thought. I have been looking at glass pipes and vg heat stones a while thinking there must be something in it, but couldn't picture something so small and similar to a standard hitter working so well.... Who'd have thought it could be achieved so elegantly and sleek as this? Going off the few videos it doesn't look like it makes companies performance wise either. And the new caps that sit flush with the main body!?. vape porn at its best.

@VapCap I wonder if the Vapcap and/or Pyrovap would work with a car cigarette lighter? Could someone who has the Vapcap try it out? I don't think you would be able to lay the side of the cap flat on one, but perhaps just put the tip on it...not sure what the results would be. If the car cigarette lighter does heat up enough to vape, It would be amazing if someone could build one that would have an indentation/hole in the middle of the right circumference and depth, custom fit for the vapcap. Then make one that you can plug into the wall for home use. It would be like a mini Vapcap heating station.

Or a rechargable electric lighter like one of these custom fit for the Vapcap.

By the way, I'm sorry to hear about your issues with Paypal. It seems like every website that could've helped you big time is giving you a hard time. Your idea is soo good, and you are soo passionate. I really hope it all works out.

Paypal closed the account that was set up to donate money to Vitolo and that didn't involve selling any product. Idiots.

Good news is I think I had all of the money transferred out before this happened. I won't know for sure for 3 days when it should land in the bank, but I still had access when I put through the transfer.
Next, I found an online merchant that I have been working with throughout the day, so I hope to have the website back up by Monday or Tuesday.

Will definitely send an email to PayPal.

The way things are coming together with the woodys, I think it will be easy for the operations director to select their usage preference by using the VapCap with or without the condenser tube. The tube definitely affects function, but depending on what the operator is looking for this gives them the choice, hint of aged wood and dark fruit or no.

I will be posting wood choices here and on my website soon.

I am in the shop tonight assembling units to ship out on Monday for more of the early I want it faster crowd.
I am excited to get these out.

Cheers,

George

That sounds great and the possibility of a reclaim tube or similar is a cracking idea too! However it all comes together I'm sure it'll be awesome :).

The odor of the wood is no concern to me as 99.9% of the time I vape at home. I would imagine that resins would seep through the wood over time though which might make it all sticky.

I actually absolutely love the look of it now. It's so natural. The mid section reminds me an ink pen. Not that I would try to pass it as an ink pen but the design it has now makes it look like something luxurious and legal whereas if it was a simple cylinder like a one hitter, there is more of a chance that it will be recognized as a paraphernalia device... if that makes sense. I'm really high right now.

Just realized that the VapCap is/can be the most flexible vaporizer out there regarding heat sources!

It works with every king of flame, torch, soft, wood fire, stove gas fire. If @VapCap makes a matte black cap it could even work with sunlight. And finally I am pretty sure a few electrical or battery powered heating stations will start emerging from after market manufacturers or George himself as soon as there is some high demand for the vape! The electric ones should be the eaiest thing ever to built since there is that audible click to let you know when it's ready, no need for complicated solutions like the Vapman's Heating Station (sensors and stuff). I wish i could make one myself but I am not in a position to do so… :p

Bright future for the VapCap indeed. Even if there is a zombie apocalypse! Making coils for the Okin will be a pretty difficult task with all those living-dead around!!! :lmao:The Vapcap will rule! Or the zombies! :zombie::zombie::zombie::zombie::zombie: :rofl::rofl:

Exactly what the original intent behind the VapCap was. Make a vaporizer that works with anything hot enough to get the job done. Now begins the contest for the most unusual or obscure way to activate a VapCap. Maybe I should offer a free Ti woody and Dugout for the video with the best, strangest or just plain awesome way to activate the VapCap. Since I'm only able to ship out a few more before my first production delivery arrives I think We will choose the winner at the end of October. Hopefully, everyone will have theirs well before then.

A beautiful bouquet of extra early VapCaps in their Special Cases getting ready for their voyage.

Does anyone who owns both a Vapcap and a Solo or Air. I'm wondering if you could use the Solor or Air heating chamber to heat the Vapcap up to temp? This might be crazy...but wonder if you could use a MFLB, or an E-Nano/Underdog to heat it up as well...on the website it does say you can use anything hot. Thinking about vapes with exposed hot chambers/surface area that could be used.

I sold my Solo or i would give it a try for fun. That said a torch is smaller, much much faster, and the fuel is probably less draining than the battery of a solo or air. Or more loads until more fuel/charge is needed.

The electric lighter could be a cool idea, but i would prefer any alternative heating source to be instant.

I mentioned i used my grill already. When used in a corner of the grate and spun around properly it has really good exteaction. So does the stove too. But, the triple torch is best, and as long as i have one with me, it will certainly be my top choice.

I believe the triple torch George currently has on his website has a keychain attachment. Something about that i love.

I understand the torch is the best option for now. If someone could invent an electric lighter that heated it up to temp at at least a reasonable rate, preferably equally as fast or faster than the torch, it would take this vape to another level. Would be amazing to vape from something the size of a cigarette in silence. Doesn't seem like it would be too hard to invent...of course I don't know. Hopefully, someone will take on the challenge.
