Irakere is an all star Cuban jazz band. What Cream is to rock'n roll Irakere is to Cuban jazz.

Just started to listen to the old blues guys and can't understand why i have not realiset how Cool they are
before ;)
When I was about 7 years old, my dad introduced me to John Lee Hooker. I have always stated that he is a true "O.G." He is definitely one of my favorite artists and has a big influence on my music. I suggest finding some of his old stuff, and the album he did with Canned Heat. Great stuff that will live for as long as people care about good music.

All the posts earlier about old blues guys had me thinking of a trip to Atlanta about 30 years ago. We went to underground Atlanta and saw this old, albino man called Dr. Feelgood - Piano Red (his real name was William Perryman) who played a mean piano and sang the blues. Some really good times. A few of my personal favorites off his album are "Right String Baby But the Wrong Yo-Yo," "Funny Reefer Man," and the infamous "Let Me Play With Your Poodle"

I'm having a heck of a time posting this picture. Sorry.

If anyone is interested in who this guy is, check this out:
