Lycanthrope, I had just read your prior post before heading out for the store. As I turned on my radio, Clap Hands came on (sirius radio is the best). I thought it somewhat serendipitous. I also enjoy Tom Waits.

Another person I've always enjoyed is Lightnin' Hopkins; old, bluesy stuff. Not as eclectic as Tom, but really good.

Also a bit of a Morphine fan.

Mom, which so far makes 3 of us in Vapeland that likes Tom Waits. I also like blues men like Lightnin Hopkins, John Lee Hooker, Sun Seals, Robert Cray, Albert Collins, Muddy Waters, Etta James, Billy Holliday, etc, etc. We know who they are. The next time Tom Waits is on TV Im going to record that concert, its awesome. At one point in time hes wearing about 10 different watches on his arms and hes standing on an old wash pail growling into the mike. Its great!!

I like to listen to dance beats while I vape :brow: I usually load up a few tenminmix (youtube it) mixes and let them play out as I go through my vaping routine. Drum and Bass stuff can sound really trippy, especially the distorted/effect driven tracks.

While im long from day's of being a club kid, leaving a party at 9 am, only to head to another one that is just starting..with that I listen to less and less electronic based music anymore. However, this tune right here is pretty on point for "chill mode"

mmmmmmmmm Dubstep.

Lots of awesome suggestions in here.

Tom Waits I have to agree is just amazing. I have a bunch of his stuff on vinyl, it sounds too good to be true.

Some stuff I've been diggin lately would have to be Vampire Weekend, really incredible sound these guys pull off with the drums. Just nice chill stuff to vape to:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UvQ5brCCUCo

MC Chris is another I really love as well. He isn't everyones cup of tea with his high voice and the fact that it's "Nerdcore Rap"(Video games, star wars etc.) it is also full of comedy and very upbeat. Not to mention the man loves weed. I got him baked when I saw him at warped tour here a few years ago, very cool guy. (he also was a writer on a lot of the older adult swim stuff, the brak show, aquateen. The good ones :http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6_jftSWkszo

Anyway, I'll be popping in here lots, I too have a ridiculous amount of music and I love LOVE to talk about it. At about 35,000 songs on itunes right now. Time to add some more with all the stuff I found in the thread :brow:

not all rap is about money, hoes and crime. Check it out.
Not the crowd? My friend! The Roots were just in Saskatoon for our Jazz Festival. Saw them not 5 days ago! Good shit! ;)

Has anybody here heard "The Devil Makes Three"? It's a really awesome Bluegrass/Rock-a-Billy? Rhythm based acoustic stuff. I love it, saw them live at a bar show April 3rd here. Amazing.

I'd like to think that my music is enjoyable to listen to, when high especially. At least most of the ppl who say they like it are usually stoners, second song on the list is usually one of the favs among them. Def not everyones cup of tea.... unless you like metal in your tea...

Has anyone ever heard of Tom Waits? He is absolutely unique, and not just a singer so to say, but a performance artist with a gravel voice. He writes all of his own stuff. There is no one else like him or even close. I have seen him in live performances, its ass kicking when your straight, but when your stoned its knock down bitchen. I have one of his early albums-Diamond Dogs (circa 1978) and hes still going strong, better than back in 78. He's been on TV; I think on the Artists and Entertainment channel recently with 2-hour specials at live performances, I never miss a chance to watch Tom Waits. He's not for everyone though. Just wondering if anyone else out there in Vapeland has heard of him or likes what he does?
Nighthawks At The Diner, although a 'faked' live album, still my favourite from him. Poetic lyrics. :/

Steiner I'm diggin the Opeth vibe you got goin on!
Thanks a lot guys, i appreciate it. yeah Opeth has been an undeniably huge influence on me and my vocalist/bassist. I've seen them 5x in concert and I'm hoping to at least quadruple that before i die, their performances have, thus far, been 100% flawless. Mikael kerfeldt is a metal god!
