I fill my D020 with the same amount of water. Fires no matter how slow I hit it.
I think with the size and diagonal design of the slits, the water tension holds until it reaches the top of the slits.

Just tested my fritted AC (album here).
If you bought one give it a thorough cleaning before use, there was some kind of paper stuck in the frit on mine..

Too soon to tell. I got some pretty large clouds from it with my J-hook without realizing it. I also won't be 100% either way until the Simba matrix I bought it for arrives.

Sweet, that looks like the 18mm version right? not bad, a little chuggy, perhaps some experimenting with water level is in order... mine still shows its at the local PO so hoping to see it delivered today. I got the 14mm version. I do like the look of the frit, build quality looks decent on yours, how are those welds? I do wish they would add that extra bridge support on these, but still, have yet to find issue with any of my china glass so far, even when the welds look sketchy. I'll be back with some pics/vids once mine is here to play with. Thanks for posting so quickly @063_XOBX

Bridge supports are a must for me.
Also I'm waiting for the TORO Knock off "TKO". I hope I don't break it the first session since there is no bridge support? If I destroy it the first day my bad for buying it. At least it was less than $30!

looks pretty good, smaller than I anticipated, but I'm happy about that! I am just getting to know it, welds look sketchy, hoping they stay together. Frit looks nice, fairly even, definitely diffuses well, a little drag to be expected from a frit. Mine showed up pretty clean, I still gave it a good wash but didn't see much dirt/debris. I like my straight OregonGlassBlowers J hook attached to it better than the standard shaped. If I tilt it back a bit, I don't get the chug from the stemless. I still need to put it on other pieces to see how it's gonna work. Here's a quick vid and some pics for your viewing pleasure... over all I'm happy with it

Edit- I got it! Wow, it is small. Hold it up to the light and look through the top and bottom is really neat almost a kaleidoscope effect. My first frit and I can already tell I'm going to use this for those harsh reclaims and what not bc it's way too much diffusion for my flowers or good Errl. Tried it with my SOL lace and EFS incycler first with flower and was robbed of the normal great taste. It tasted good with just my jhooks, but still a little more diffusion than I prefer. But it is the prettiest piece I've gotten from China and if your looking for unreal instant clouds and diffusion "the frit is it"!!!

that's vapor oil residue after passing through a frit, also happened with my previous DG frits (which wasn't cheap china glass). Doesn't take long to start forming... I try to reclaim it when I can. I'm really enjoying mine so far. I like turning the stem sideways so I can get a full side view.
uh oh, I just discovered a small crack in the side of the can right where the frit lines up... oh well, hopefully it will last a while. I have another cracked piece that is still going strong (american made) and it has a huge crack
