You are in for a treat!

I like to have the option of choosing which vape will be my vessel for the evening.

I also just spoke to my buddy - their Zap came in the other day and they were calling me with questions galore! (Just like I was when I first got mine) I reemphasized that they NEED to carry their booty over to this thread :p

Have been lurking around reading this thread for a bit, trying to decide if a Zap was right for me. I've recently quit combusting, and have been using a VG (which I've had for several years but rarely used) and a VG bat. I like the VGs, but once in a while I can taste butane, which is a little concerning.

Last night, after a few drinks and some alone time with my VG, I pulled the trigger on the Best Deal Going--the Cherry. I'm VERY excited. I think this is going to be a very lonnnnggg week or two.

LOL Congrats Ruti! Make sure you read through a few of the tips and tricks here BEFORE you get your Zap :) It will make life easier for you when it finally arrives.

I just got back from my buddies house who recently picked up a Zap. Man, that is a beautiful piece! Light and light with a beautiful grain pattern. Pictures rarely do this vape justice :p

At any rate, I showed them a few things and gave them some things to try to help improve their vaping experience. Needless to say, I left them as happy campers :D

Very quick one.
Major delays at Zapville. Massive snow storms, power outages and in the last hour our Cat(crawler tractor) lost a track in the middle of the road blocking us and neighbors access to the rest of the world, even mail box.
Big fix it job. 2-3 days behind at least.

That hill top, country living, while peaceful, can sure have it's challenges! Hope everything gets straightened out soon Rick.

Bummer! I just placed my order last Friday too! Seems Mother Nature wants me to wait a little longer for the Zap. At least I know the wait will be worth it, thanks for the update Rick.

The thing is, we did find one that will fit you and actually jumped you ahead in the line a bit. Yours was going to ship today but will go out tomorrow for an expected Friday arrival. Others will ship Thursday for an expected Saturday arrival. We did get the cat out of the road and tucked in an accessible spot but that was it. Big headache over for now and back to the regular stuff. It is still snowing though.
Only a day or two behind.

Hey, I've been real busy lately but decided to stop by and check out the zap forum again. I have a question about cleaning too, does anyone else run into the problem of material falling out of the stem and onto the heat port? Because of this I was wondering, is it was possible to clean the attachment the stem fits into, as well as the stem?

I recently took about a week break from my zap, I had been two busy to get it out and smoking just seemed more convenient at the time. After getting it back out, I don't know why I ever put it away. Going on a only zap phase now :).

Also, I don't know if you guys knew about this or not, but you can put straight abv into capsules and eat them. I've done it a few times (got the idea from r/trees), and man does it actually work. I was able to fit .3-.4 in a capsule, took two, and about 2 hours later I was good for a while.

you should hold your MZ horizontal [at least for the first hit] this should solve ever having having to clean the heat port...

but since you have a dirty one now, i would assume unpluging and holding your MZ upside down and cleaning it with some iso on a qtip would be okay.

I use a can of compressed air for cleaning computer keyboards. Spray down into the heat port screen and into the small holes that surround the top of the heat port. The small diameter plastic nozzle supplied with the can gets right down into the holes. This blows out all of the dust or otherwise spent herb quite nicely without causing any damage to the screen or the heat port itself. I do this about every third or fourth vaping session.

I had planned on ordering a PD, but after noticing the 4-6wk wait time and the fact that the MyrtleZap/AZ is at least similar quality, I decided to order a MyrtleZap instead. Ordered it Monday, can't wait to try it out! I think waiting for it to warm up will probably be the hardest part of the wait :p

^^ That's an easy one.. Two man operation (husband and wife)... Significant demand.

I am a one man show with a hellova lot more products and am always a step behind, maybe I am opening a can of worms, it just doesnt seem like it should take that long.

I think you are opening up a can of worms here, Ed, but I'll respond anyway. Fuck the worms. :brow:

I believe that it's due to a few reasons. One, is the reason that wthanna mentioned above. Husband/wife team along with a very high demand. When you couple that with the fact that Tom/Pammy are pretty set in their ways as far as how much time they are willing to devote to their business versus the time that they are not willing to give up in their personal life, then it makes perfect sense. This would hold true for any hand made product manufactured in a limited supply.

It's all about how high the demand is and how willing an individual is in meeting that demand. Hell, there are many things that are hand made by small cottage industries that take a helluva lot longer than 4 to 6 weeks.

There are some who would say, "I will do whatever it takes to fulfill the demand in a 1 to 2 week timeframe because the business is paramount in my life", while there are others who would say, "I will only devote so much time to my business because there are other aspects of my life that are just as important if not more so". No right or wrong here, just different perspectives.

What WOULD be wrong though, is to state an expected wait time and not follow through on that expected time frame.

Edit: One other thing that I forgot to mention is health and mobility issues. If one is periodically confined to a wheelchair, or if one was tending to the health issues of say, their spouse, that would also slow down their production. All I'm sayin' is that there are a lot of things that need to be taken into consideration when one is trying to justify a shorter delivery time made by a specific craftsman. Of course, the answer to this is to purchase items that are made on a fairly large production line where issues like these don't make a major impact but if one chooses to have things hand made by an individual, than one does have to take things like this into account.

Funny, Ed, I was going to post a remark this morning when I saw your first post. Got busy and did not do it. I was going to try to avoid what just happened by saying something like.....All of us Craftsmen/women are different Ed and we all do things differently. All are fine for the individual person(s).
Please, no disparaging remarks about any other manufacturer on this thread. I know you are relatively new to this forum thing but we really want to be extra nice to all around here.
Thanks and lwein you were plenty fair.

Yeah that was my bad, sometimes I speak before I think, I am damn good at that, not thinking!

Pls do forgive me all!

Ed's TnT,
I ordered the Intense Walnut Zap today! I am so excited! Have been researching and wanting a Aromazap for a few years now. Does anyone know where to purchase a glass top for heating the oil? I will let you guys know how well I like it as soon as I get to try it out. I am not new to vaping just new to this type vaporizer!

I'll definitely do what I can ;) I'm not sure when mine is supposed to come, but I'm moving pretty soon, so going to be a bit busy. But when I find time, I'll throw a few pictures up on this thread :)
