Can someone tell me if it's good to let the Solo's battery drain all the way? I thought I read that, but I don't see it.

I've only been charging to a strong 6 or a weak 7, but I haven't let it get below a 3 probably. Just hoping to get a decent battery life, AND trying to decide if it's another solo, or maybe a cloud maker that's a little more portable.

Longtime lurker, first post. Been saying fuckcombustion for about a year now. Keeping it underground in prohibitionist Sweden. Anyway, currently own a MFLB and FM. Looking to upgrade and invest in a Solo. Though money is tight, with a family and all. So wondering if it is possible to hook-up a Solo to a bubbler w/o investing in a GonG adapter? I see vapefiend in the UK has the MFLB water whip listed as a Solo accessory. Does that work? Or are there any cheap alternatives? Give thanks in advance.

I bought my solo over a year ago and love it. But I am now looking at getting a solo for my friend and on one of the websites it said the new solo can be used while plugged in. I know the air can but I haven't heard of this feature being implemented on the solo, can anyone confirm or deny this?

solodolo420...This topic has come up a few times ..... Start at page 1263 about half way down in this thread and work your way forward.

In the meantime....I purchased the new Solo about 3 months ago and have used it twice while on the charger. I am trying not to use it on the charger as a norm because I have seen posts that imply it may intermittently stop charging the battery when used on the charger which can shorten the battery life.

Yes, you can use the normal stems in 14mm GonG fittings, many of us have, using rubber bands or an o-ring to provide the seal. It's kind of a PITA, and you might eventually slip and break the stem, but it does work fine.

Another, low cost alternative comes to mind. The stem for the Arizer Air (just being introduced currently) also fits the Solo and the replacement stem for that vape directly fits a GonG:
http://arizer.com/store/en/arizer-air-parts-accessories/95-air-glass-aroma-tubes.html

My guess is in a few months (as Air reaches dealers) these stems will also be available from other sources.

You can also use rubber tubing on the factory stem to couple to the WT of course. The nominal (English measure) size is 1/2 inch ID so you want something like 12mm? I use the next 'nesting size down' (3/8 ID) to mate up with the nipple on my bubbler.

I know the air can but I haven't heard of this feature being implemented on the solo, can anyone confirm or deny this?

True rumor (although it's implemented a little differently, the effect is the same). "Use while charging". IMO it's not clear if this is really a better scheme, but it's basically all you can buy these days (switch over was almost a year ago).

It's not a true PA like yours is, the battery is charged and discharged as it cycles in the new style. And it invites 'leaving it plugged in so it's always fully charged and ready to go' which will kill the battery off early like that practice does with cell phones and laptops. That way the average charge over time is nearly 100%, very bad. Ideal is something like 60% with as few hours 'fully charged' as possible. I have one new model. I use it until the battery is down to step 1 or so then charge it again. I try to either stop the charge a bit early (when the 7 LED is lit but the charge light still flashing) or better still run another session before putting it away...........

Thanks, I apologize for bringing it up again I just didn't want to look through all those pages of material.

solodolo420 - no problemo. Glad I could help. I didn't mean to sound like I was pointing a finger at you. And what I'm about to day isn't meant to be a finger point either and is meant for those who might not know the functionality exists....the search feature at the top right corner can be used to just search something like 'charger' and checking the box that says 'search this thread only' can limit the returned posts. I couldn't resist ...... I do this kind of computer shit for a living.

Have my new black Solo right here. Checked the mailbox twice yesterday. They waited till 5:30 and then just dumped it out by the gate. At least it was in a plastic bag to keep it dry and it wasn't quite freezing. It is warming up in my pocket to bring it up to room temperature before charging. Warm moist air will condense out out cold surfaces. All it takes is a droplet in the right spot and poof, you have a major problem. Would have liked and overnight charge but 4 hours or so ought to do the trick. Packing was excellent, double boxed, incognito, with lots of bubblewrap. Ordered Monday-Delivered Friday-Not Bad.

I just went down to my local head shop with one of my solo stems and easily found a pretty cheap glass bong whose downstem opening was just the right size for a tight fit using the included rubber grommet (not sure that is the exact right word). It worked fine and has the added attraction of making my set-up look very very old school (like me). As if I was "smoking" a bong but using the Solo as the match.

I mentioned in another thread I was going to create a Solo Glass Draw holder so I could set them down, when they're hot, with the bowl pointing skyward. Then I asked myself...self I asked...'why not ask the good people at FC if they have already developed something for this need'.

Every time I go Solo I use the hamster method so the honey oil from vapor condensation flows away from the bowl and toward the mouthpiece. I want to accumulate as much reclaim oil as I can and figure this is the best way to coat the tube heavily. I also make sure to turn off the Solo and remove the glass draw tube about 3/4 of the way through my last inhale so that any herb that may have escaped the glass bowl is sucked back into the bowl. This keeps the burner clean and also stops the honey oil from clogging or backing up into the bowl. I then stand there for a few seconds waiting for the bowl to cool off so I can put the draw tube down in the original styrofoam Solo box with the bowl pointing up. One of the reasons I want to set the tube down hot with the bowl pointing up is I want the reclaim to flow toward the mouthpiece. Once the reclaim is plentiful enough to get a heavy coat and is encroaching on the mouthpiece it'll be time to make some reclaim edibles.

I've done this at least once or twice here, and everyone's been really nice about it.

I need to use the search function more. :| To be honest though; other sites I've used to search a thread for something like that didn't do a good job. It would pick one word out of the few, and drive me crazy with irrelevant yuck.

I have not however, tried using that function on FC, and I need to make sure to do that first in case it's better here. Hat's off to everyone I ran into here for not biting my head off, AT ALL. I was kind of bracing for it at first, just in case.

I guess we're just all kinds of happy, and laid back with our cool Solos around here....

Solo on 2 and 3 with pnwt. Tryin to kick this 'type a' flu's ass. Trying to eat soup and stay hydrated.

KidF...echinacea and emergen-c. My kid swears by this combo when she is fighting the flu and it seems to work to shorten the sick time. Given the choice I would substitute echinacea and emergen-c for the Solo, green tea and honey, a Netflix binge watch and a sleepy afternoon........or just the Solo :D

Been there with the build, I was able to steal a handful of Legos from my little brother's room and made a small tower that held my stems pointed up. It was heavy/wide enough at the base to hold both the straight stem and the bent stem without tipping over. It only went halfway up the stems so no heat issues. You could also drill some holes into a small block of wood. Not sure what size you'd need though, sorry. Can't find a ruler around here... there's one but it's kind of far outside haha.

Happy New Year FC.Well nearly;)

Its arrived....

Loving the clean pure taste and not forgetting the effects with the 2014 model M1F1 Solo. Thanks to you folks I decided to revisit the solo after an initial bad experience when the solo was released.
I know now why the solo is so popular.
This was a Massdrop December issue, just arrived today,5 sessions in I'm in a nice space.

Nice improvements Arizer.

The glasses are from Pagosa Springs in Colorado.if ya get the chance its worth the drive and the visit.
I'm new to the Arizer scene and have a guy selling me an Arizer with the model number M115C501908. I was wondering if this was a 2014 model? Any resplies would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Miguelamoncada86,
does it heat while charging? If yes, it's 2014 or newer (probably not newer than 2014, right?)
Doubt it he's had it for a few weeks but than again I ask because there's little to no info online. And not sure if he bought it from a retail store or not. But yes it heats while charging.

If it charges while heating, it's the "updated" version released in 2014. Older versions needed a Power Adapter to do this. I wouldn't reccomend using it plugged in unless it's must. Read the last couple pages, OF explains it a hell of a lot better than some Kid..

Im on that same flow. Solo on 3 with a bubbler.. about to set it to 2 and see If I like it. On level 3 I was able to get like 20 clouds through 2 12 minute sessions back to back. Not bad on the throat. Chicken Soup on deck
