Arizer Solo

Over the falls, in a barrel
I was already thinking about buying a bong for my Extreme Q that i just got a week ago. http://azarius.nl/headshop/bongs/glass_bongs/bong_glass_classic/

Can i use this with the 18mm pvhes Gong adapter too? The downstem is 18mm so i should be ok right?
I find it amazing that a 7mm thick straight tube is only 25€, you might want to check if the thickness is really 7mm. In theory, that bong would fit an 18mm gong. ;)
Careful, there was some discussion on this bong in the "Cheap Bubbler" thread last week. It's advertised as 18.8 but someone ordered and found it was only 14.4.

So, I've had my Solo for about 2 months now and am totally loving it... The taste, vapor production, conservation of herbs, ease of cleaning you name it... The Solo is a great portable vape. Additionally, I'm now using the PVHES straight stems and the air flow is amazing..... Highly recommende!! That said, the obvious next step is to match a water tool with my Solo. The problem is, I don't have any knowledge about water tools, adapters etc.. I think I'm leaning towards an Hydratube vs. a bubbler. I just want a WT that allows me to use the higher temperatures ie. levels 6 and 7 to cool the vapor. My criteria is as follows:

1) A fairly small hydratube( but not so small that water gets in your mouth)

2) Good quality glass

3) A piece proven to work well with the Solo (easy to attach presumably with a PVHES Gong?)

4) Easy to clean

Any suggestions from you Solo experts will be much appreciated.....

I know Planet Vape has the F Bomb and PVH20 Hydratube. I don't know when they're coming out, or if they're worth waiting for...

I have an HT, the showerdome, its awesome...but there's a small chances to spill water... using a bubbler with a base(solo upside down or just far from the water) is a safer bet....plus my HT costs 225$...I would suggest you getting a cloud and taking advantage of the HT rather than getting HT stand alone

I did try the magic glass rude boy but people here don't really like it because of the crab

Thanks for the reply. This is really helping me. The quality of bongs Azarius delivers is not all that great, but they are not expensive either. I already have a 10cm version of that, and the glass is pretty thick. The bongs on that website look nice too though! And they have tons of handy connectors. Awesome! :D

I had some suspicion Azarius and Vaposhop were from the same guys because everytime a vape gets on vaposhop, a day or 2 days later you will find it on Azarius. I have had only good experiences with Azarius though. Couldn't tell you anything bad about them, they answer my questions in 24 hours and they ship pretty fast.

I got my Ehle from there and it was the cheapest i could find in Europe. It has a nice selection too of different brands not as well known but with quality pieces. Very hard to find a similar one in these parts.

I also knew another one, also german but i forgot the website link. It wasn't as professional looking though.. and the prices were similar, so i went with head-nature for my piece.

Everyonedoesit.com also has a nice selection but in general a little bit pricier and not as good of a selection in low priced quality glass.

Received my Solo today!

I was very impressed with the unit from the moment I saw it, but most importantly after I held it. Very solid and well built. The size of this vape is perfect for my immediate needs.

After charging and running on high for 3 full sessions to allow for any burnoff(I did notice an odor that went away after the first two sessions)...I gave it a whirl. Niiiice:D

Very satisfied with my purchased. THX to all who steered me in this direction. I am convinced this is the perfect first vape for me and probably many others.

Azarius and Vaposhop ARE the same owners!
They both belong to:

You can look this up in the Whois from their websites!

Vaposhop is a supporting FC retailer.. And he's from EU so other things to consider as well.

You are the second case in a row of a bad Solo and a bad return case with Vaposhop.. first time i defended Vaposhop, now i'm thinking something could be wrong over there.

The After Sales with this shop is really very much below any standards (specially compared to US companies)

Vaposhop as well as Azarius don't have any structured Customer Service, they don't have a real helpdesk or After Sales Service, you are likely to be tossed and shuffled around by some occasional shop employee checking mails and who lacks all sense of understanding the topic of a good functioning After Sales!

Also they make promises they NEVER keep!!!

But because e-mail can be saved and reproduced you always can tell them that and show the facts and than, maybe, after a lot of nonsense going to and fro, there might be someone who takes the initiative to check things and help you a little further.....

Well, I get pretty much frustrated with all this!

Imo they are taking advantage of the fact that to most EU countries their activities (selling things to be used in connection with prohibited and/or controlled substances) look shady and illegal, and not socially accepted, unlike Holland where using Cannabis for medical purposes is quite accepted and can be totally legal, provided that you have a medical indication preferably from a neurological specialist.

The thing is that there isn't any vaporizer retailer in EU selling vaporizers specially to medical users and with medical users in mind, nor is there any vaporizer produced in EU, they all have foreign oversea manufacturers who have their designs produced in China. (like Arizer)

just ordered my arizer solo and absolutely love it. I found my favorite stem already. I ordered quite a bit of them and if anyone is interested with the stock ones or the PHVES straight shorty let me know. I am looking for a PVHEGONG turbo 18mm or similar.

If you call them than you get a shop sales employee who doesn't know what you are talking about and who can't look up things to check the status, so than you are asked to leave your phone number to be called back, which never happens!!!!

I can't say i disagree.. not much to do about it though. There is another shop verdampftnochmal.de , maybe you get better treatment, look there. It has less choice but good prices and good vapes. The Solo is at the same price as vaposhop.

Forgot lacentralevapeur.com , also good vapes and good prices.

Nice! But with the Solo sitting there and cooking the herbs, wouldn't it be better to not use the Cloud Buddy but instead keep the gong on the bong and simply remove the Solo from the gong? How tight do those gong's fit the Solo? I guess they get hot and might be hard to remove the Solo without holding the gong.

It really doesn't burn to much - it gets warm but heat rises so upside down in fact is the better position for the solo hence why I used the cloud buddy. I get about 5 solid hits off her at about a 5 on the heat setting. It may vary based on the quality of the herb.

It's still very easy to remove the GonG using the included glass pinches.

I use my Solo the same, obviously without the Cloud buddy since I don't have one. Herbs don't really get charred in my experience so long as the stem is vertical.

mvapes your post just made me think of something...since heat rises and using the Solo upside, would that potentially cause too much heat in the body itself and thus potentially killing the battery? Just a thought.

I never thought about that - I am running my M102 which has been around forever and thus far have not noticed any depletion in my battery. I will say that this is why the cloud gets so much hotter as well when left in the gong too.

Wow, rocking the M102 still? Flaking ceramic coating? Incredible that you haven't noticed loss in the battery life over so much time! I still wish they could have made the ceramic work without flaking, the performance of those models is just so much better.

vape4life,
Mine solo is so old the numbers wore off on the bottom lol. I'm pretty sure mine is a M103 though, still kicking!

I am who I am and your approval isn't needed!
i still rock the M102, flaking ceramic and all:tup: The battery 'is' starting to show signs of weakening but still gets the job done daily for me.

UPDATE on my defective SOLO!!!

It seems, quite to my amazement, that complaining on FC helps because all at once I got mail from Vapohop telling me that (finally, after it arrived there 1 week ago!!!) someone had a look at the Solo and that it definitely is completely broken beyond repair ...dead....finished....kaput and it is beyond my comprehension how a Solo which wasn't even 1 year old, can be broken beyond repair.....

B U T.....

the good news is that they are going to send me a brand new one!!!

Downside is that it probably will not be a M107 but the very latest issue.

They are not in stock at the moment but will be on coming Monday and they promised to send it straight away....

So I hope now that by next week this all will be history and I will be able once more to medicate with a fully functional portable Solo vaporizer.

How is that a downside? Don't take too much stock into what people say on here.... I feel the impression in this thread lately is that the M1A's have probems and the m107's are the best, etc. Arizer specifically started to jumble up the serial numbers for this very reason. IMO having owned 2 M107's and 2 M1A's, they are identical except that the M1A battery level drops quicker.

I'd be very happy if they sent the latest M1A.

Maybe you're right, we'll see.
Tests :science: will start by next week....hopefully.... if they get it to keep their promise (sending it straight away after the new stock arrives) at least this time....

Hoping the best of it......what else is there to do after being without a functional Solo for some weeks now..........and the experience with Vaposhop has been like pulling a dead horse....:horse:

Red Indy i am glad they finally fixed it for you. I once told one of the people at Azarius they should check this forum for good information on vaporizers, and they told me their team already uses it as an information source. So you might be right about that.

On another note, i'm not gonna buy that bong from Azarius since it might not have an 18.8mm bowl.
So i want to get an Ehle 250 ml just like Vorrange, since it's probably a way better quality bong for about the same price.

The only thing is, it has a 14.4mm joint size too, but they sell them in the same store so that shouldn't be a problem. Am i right that this set up will be working with the 18mm Gong adapter? :

Cloudy...
@Elevation ¿What downstem the Ehele has? If end in a 14,4 it will work but if end in a bowl not. I have a weedstar difusser downstem that ends in 14,4 in my bong and it works really good. If you have to/can buy a downstem with difusser try it, sooooooo smoth vapor hits

Elevation, get the diffused stem also. I haven't tried the regular stem but according to others who used both, the difference in price is worth it.

It should work perfectly with the 14-18mm adapter.

About the kickhole, this is mainly an EU thing.. most bongs elsewhere don't use a kickhole. I heard it has minor inconveniences like cleaning, and you lose a little bit in structural integrity of the piece and also, you can spill water more easily.

OTOH, you don't have to lift the stem or the vaporizer to clear the hit, but you have to keep your finger on the hole while you are hitting.

In the end, it comes to personal preference.. i went no kickhole and i like it but i really don't know which one i would prefer unless i tried both. Of course, i suspected i would prefer without a kickhole, which is why i chose to order one like that.
