Yeah, they're still just trickling out, and now there's another Reddit user 5 min ago with a "extremely hot backend" then blinking lights, and now dead.
I'm standing by my theory that it's (still) only a few heaters are being made per week, just like back when they told us their heater manufacturer could only make a few a week vs the hundreds they thought they would be able to make. (this was like 6 months back or so...) What else can explain this snail's pace combined with a lack of true transparency?

I've been the first on the block buying a new vaporizer, I'm in no rush. I enjoy reading some of the really good reviews and experiences other FCers have had. I fully expected a percentage of faulty units in the beginning.

I'm hoping this vaporizer proves to be a winner then all of us will be happy.

Yea I hope so to just hope they don't keep pushing dates back month after month after month my estimated shipping is October so hope it actually comes in october. Well October 1st we will be getting our next update so hopefully he doesn't say the same exact shit he said in the last two updates hopefully some true progress is made because them not given any numbers out or at least releasing info on how many backers the backed already or if they are on preorder delivery already and yes it will be one of the best vaporizers on the market I mean it's the cheapest and has one of the fastest heat up times ever

Things are really ramping up and improving at ghl. Yup, really positive about the October estimate for the rest of the backers and some pre orders. /sarc

At this point I'd rather an honest update that explains what is really happening out there in CO.

My friends order that I've got a hopper stake in. Up to two weeks ago, Caroline was saying we're still on for Sept. delivery. I asked how likely that was with only a week of Sept left and have been told October now.

I'd kinda guessed that, but at least it was confirmed.

It's mystifying how from one week to the next, they seemingly have zero idea how many hoppers they'll be releasing.

Maybe it is the number of hoppers they are replacing that is cutting into stock. Plus it seems they are only making like 50 of these a week anyways. I will probably hold out on my pre-order till Nov. and if I don't get it I will just cancel.

I'm telling y'all... I really believe they are still only getting a handful of heaters printed per week. That's the only way I can rationalize this snail's pace.
They NEVER said "we are now getting hundreds of heaters per week" after saying months ago "our heater manufacturer can only make 20/week" (or something similar to this)
It's gotta be the heaters....

Do u think that's a proper estimation and that we will be receiving them in october cause shit it's another week away I hope whoever has an estimated shipping date of October like myself actually receives it in october cause I I really ain't trying to wait till christmas for a vaporizer, feels like a person u loaned 197 dollars to and your chasing them just to get it back everyday lol

What about the not wanting to bulk ship and have to replace most of the units due to high failure rate theory? I'm feeling that one more than the heater thing, even though they won't say that's what's happening (not remotely surprising given their communication history). Though I see your point and how their super vague statement about having resolved the heater thing could be interpreted as not having resolved it at all.

We will all have to anxiously await for the next news flash from GHL on the end of the month. Maybe October will be the month for many. I've heard a lot say that their date had been changed from Sept to Oct. or Aug to Oct.

I got bumped from Sept to November and at this rate I'm not expecting it till 2016 but I don't think I'm willing to wait that long.

It seems as if the shipping confirmations have slowed down both here and at Reddit, plus GHL isn't done shipping the November backers units out and it's been this way for almost two weeks now no way is my June pre order being shipped in November. Pretty disappointing.

Although we haven't heard anything directly from GH about exact heater numbers, members here and on reddit have supposedly gotten email responses from Trevor months ago on this issue. Below is a link to one such post.
Believe what you want, but heaters being the bottleneck doesn't make a bit of sense. Why would they have spent money on new equipment to increase production if the heaters were the problem? Why hire new people if you won't have heaters to build with? That line of thinking doesn't pan out IMO.

"Thanks for contacting me. The heaters are coming in and the batch size is increasing. This is a bottleneck right now. The electronics come in larger batches but there is an extensive supply chain involved in the components used on the PCBs. A hick-up here holds production up until that part comes in. We are just starting this while mass production thing and we want to get it right so it takes careful planning to scale up. We will get the process moving faster and faster. The heaters first came in 6 per batch and we are already up to batches of about 300. The first batches of electronics were in 50 and we are now ramping up to a batch size of 3000."

If they have gotten even a couple of batches of 300 heaters, then yeah, the bottleneck is somewhere else.

Someone made a good point- if you have X numbers of assembled units ready to ship, but a fraction of those need to be sent out as replacements instead of to new owners, then shipping targets recede farther and farther...
