Pen Imag Plus

I have the black imag plus with the ceramic bowl and the draw restriction feels way too open and it doesn't feel like I'm getting much vapor. I have already added a screen to the mouthpiece and I vape with a screen on the load.

Never mind, now my draw is super restricted and I can't find a balance in the removable screen. This sucks.

do the newest models of these still need holes punched in the mouthpiece screen or has that been redesigned?

thanks

No the screens can be replaced now with a screw on plate, and the screens themselves are several big holes instead of the tiny ones from before, so pre phnxhed out in a way. The ceramic also comes with extras and a spare mouthpiece too

Hey
So I just got my Imag Plus and I was doing some burnoffs when I (stupidly) decided to clean it with the brush. The mouthpiece was still very hot and the brush partially melted in the mouthpiece, so now i have black streaks in my heating chamber. What would you guys recommend I do about this? BTW it has a steel heating chamber but the mouthpiece is updated without the fine screen.

The new mouthpieces don't fit in the steel bc of the locks on the ceramic Imag+... But in any case it seems you've ruined it, I would not use that for vaping now that the oven is spotted with melted plastic, not good to inhale. Can try to get a warranty replacement or something, but I don't even know if that would be covered

Na it's not ruined lol. I kept heating it up and used the little metal poker thing they comes with it to scrape the plastic out. I did this thoroughly for about half an hour and there is no remnants of the plastic in the steel heating cup or in taste.

I do however have some questions about my Imag. I have noticed some problems with mine, and I was wondering if they are common with all imags or I somehow got ripped off. First off, when the mouthpiece is screwed on fully it is not parallel with the button, which is quite annoying. Also the screw on type lock of the mouthpiece has gotten looser and looser so it barely feels like a solid click now. To me it seems that it does not heat up to that high of a temperature on low and even medium. I read reviews of people complaining about the hot vapor so I was not excepting this. Coming from a longtime MFLB user, the vapor seems weak except when on high.

BTW I purchased it from a merchant at Aliebaba(Vnice) for 55 dollars with shipping I have only owned it for a few days.

Are there any glass mouth piece or water tool adapter for the imag? I'd love to get rid of the plastic and switch to glass

I would also like some insight on this topic. Ive seen that some mouthpieces fit, but they are exactly the same plastic mouthpiece (cloudv) that is shipped with the unit (I'm using an older version, i admit.). Has anyone found a nice mod?

The Imag plus worked very well for me.
It went to a patient that had issues with dexterity and had trouble with an Iolite's maintenance.
The Imag has served as her daily driver for 2 months now, and it still works well.
For minimal servicing, and a minimum of loose parts this vape is great!

I just got an email the Imag for $55 from Puffitup. Those that are waiting to order the Grasshopper, it might hold you over. That's a very low price for a vaporizer.

I looked a bit over the thread. A lot of negative posts, I will probably pass on this one.

First off, that $55 is a lie......it's really $54.99 with that discount ($30 more with the 'published' code on their web page......).

So I too gave it 'the once over' and I see an OK vape that's been upgraded in response to the issues of earlier units. Ceramic bowl, now 5 minute time out, improved screens? I guess I was having too much fun with my $85 FlowerMate Mini and have been impressed with it's performance I decided to check this one out as well? Randy wouldn't sell me a bum vape, would he? Seems to me it's a good candidate for a loaner to newbies? I'll know more soon I suspect.

OK, that makes it Gospel. Clear statement from the most experienced authority known.......

Good show I had other questions or I'd have blown $54.99 over a few minute timing error.

Thanks, oh great and wise guy. Or is that 'wiseguy'?

Edit:

Here's an update on my order with PIU. I ordered at 3:45, they confirmed shipment (with tracking number) at 4:02.......seventeen minutes! Sounds like they're all backed up in shipping again. I bet I have it Monday morning. Can't beat service like that I think.

Both, the 2 men that know their vaporizer have spoken. That's good enough for me, I respect both your opinions. Thank you gentlemen.

Hey, I'm guessing. It's the other guy with the first hand information...... But stand buy a few days until I get mine......I'm not very good at keeping secrets......

You're welcome to all the wild speculation I can come up with.

I have an massive amount of portable vapes and I would take the Imag Ceramic over any Flowermate thasts for sure!

Indeed, why?

I'm guessing the Mini has the size issue locked up, and being all glass or metal (no plastic) in the vapor path might have the taste advantage?

IMO the Mini will be a tough standard to beat in those two key areas, your saying that's a given sets high expectations indeed.

So, please, on what points do you base that? TIA
