^^^absolutely. I'll put my first two hits (especially that sweet second one) off a VG bowl against any vape I own, save the SSV.
I dont own an SSV, but I do own a VG and Ill have to throw a +1 to clouds for my head off the VG

BUT my VG is primarily used at home (only) it always seems that everywhere else I go the LB is in the pocket. :)
Agreed. For traveling just out and about on a daily basis kind of thing I carry the LB [and the Vape-Pen]. I don't carry the VG, it's too bulky and using seems not at all discreet to me.

Fear , you dont get any burnt taste taking that long of a hit . Mine would get black and taste like shit if I leave the battery in that long .

Magic Flight Launch Box - Hot LB VS. Cold LB - Comparo

Magic Flight,Please watch this video. It shows the difference between the 2 units I currently own. One being the original & the new replacement unit.
Was the frist one a design problem and corrected with the second one? Or just defective?
First unit was defective.

No sir,its all about draw speed. I took a draw on both units in exactly the same manner...as per the instructions so there was no doubt I wasnt using the unit as directed, both units yielded different exhale volumes. One(The first) is obviously defective,or just runs a lot cooler than the new one.
Either way,Im extremely satisfied with my new box and plan on keeping it for many moons.

For some reason, the weed can get black, but i dont taste any smoke at all... I had a vaporizer that broke back in the day, and the vapor tastes the same as the vapor from back then.

The good thing about my newer ( hot ) one is , even when the battery just about dead I still get good hits . I'm very happy with mine too .

Hey Magic Flght, is there some sort of test we can do at home to gauge the temperature of our LB?
Unfortunately no. The IR characteristics make a lot of difference, so its either special built optical gear (what we use) or embedded thermocouple -- neither option available for home use.

PS: Thank you Fear420 for the Vid! Generally we aim to have performance between the two demonstrated, somewhat closer to the latter one -- ie, full effects without visibility.

Don't get me wrong. I love my LB, but reading about all the newer models really makes me want to buy another. I bought mine in July so I don't think I have a beta unit(not sure), but mine seems dated without the light and running a little cool.

My problem is that I would love to buy a new LB, but with the current pace of redesigns, it seems like things are changed around frequently. I hate having to purchase another model only to have another better one come out in the next week. Not that I'm not for improving a product, but I always feel compelled to purchase the new model... Should I buy one now, should I wait, I really can't tell, and really can't afford to spend my money twice either?

so does anyone know where I could find these batteries In a store? Or do you think I can prob only get them online? What are some other really good batteries you guys have used with your LB (battieries+charger)? And where can I find that kind.

Costco used to carry them but I haven't seen them there in two Christmases. The only low discharge batteries I see in stores are the Duracels. You know because they package says "pre-charged." Someone here said those were rebranded eneloops. Even if they aren't, they are the type of battery you are looking for. They are small and fit loosely in the Box.

Just grab yourself a set of the Energizer 15 min batts. I got 4 of em with a wall AND car charger for around $40. They work very nicely and were available in my local Lowes.

I seriously doubt you'll find them in a store. But you can do what I would do: Call the company and ask for the sales dept. and ask if anyone in your area carries them. Do a google to find the company. Sanyo, isn't it?

Yeah i'm probably just gonna go with the energizer 15 min or with the duracell.. Anyone have any preference between the two? I heard the eneloops fit a little looser then other batteries in the launch box so I think the other ones should be good in terms of fit. I need to be super stealthy so I can't have batteries falling out. :ninja:

HighSti, eneloops don't fit so loosely that they fall out. Mine never have. The copper coil holds the battery in very well. You have to forcefully pull the battery out in order for it to come out. Bumping the battery from side to side won't do anything.

Also, Magic-Flight will be making the holes where the batteries are placed in smaller and so those larger batteries might not fit the newer models. If you have some sort of warrantee issue, you may need to buy new batteries altogether if you get a newer model.

Just a heads up, the 15 minute chargers rapidly decrease the lifetime of your batteries. Since you do have a slower charging battery charger coming in with your purchase, the flexibility would be nice to add to your collection.

Then which do you personally recommend? I just don't want to buy them online.. but if i really have to i guess i will.
