Big clouds means I'm getting a lot at once! I need it like that most of the time, as temp cannabinoids aren't what I'm after!

I think I will do a whole nugget now, thanks for the inspiration @ataxian

Also I was rummaging through some stuff in my closet and found this awesome little pouch! No brand or anything and it's just a pouch with no protection, but it fits my stuff nicely :D

"OF" this battery pack took a bit of Mac Givering!

"Bend it to shape, file it to fit, paint it to match"..........still works for me.

True...still worth a shot since I don't know exactly when it was purchased

Agreed, good luck.

Does anyone else have pieces chipped off the corners near the bottom screws? This happened to my old one before I even opened it up. Just happened to the new M1D. I'm pretty sure it happens in my pocket or my backpack. It's really shitty build quality and annoys the hell out of me.

This is actually quite common. It is usually caused by the screws being over tightened. Doesn't take much as the countersunk screws push the outer sides out and the plastic will crack down the road.
There is a simple fix which @OF has came up by using small washers under the screws. Afterwhich you will need to cover the screw heads or use some type of spacer to keep the screws from scratching table tops.
Hope this helps,

Yes, it's been discussed several times, along with some fixes.

I can't agree with "really shitty build quality", although you're welcome to feel differently. If it's been rattling around in your backpack, that's the sort of damage I'd expect eventially. What poor construction or inspection do you suggest is responsible for this? Absent such a human failing in manufacture of that unit it's "at best" a design defect IMO, a very subjective area. You're not saying your unit is different than the rest or ours, right?

Personally I've found the standards in construction and inspection to be excellent. I see no build quality issues unlike some other vapes.

I think the solo is great. The screws could be brought inward a little bit to add a little more border and support. It appears that that is all it need to be 100%. It's just a let down that something that is made so well(especially the M1D) can have this flaw that seems to be a simple fix.
The first time it happened to me it was just from keeping it in my pocket at work. It is clear that it is likely to happen to all Solos until they change this.
I got the new one for a friend. I told them I was testing it out until they come around. Now it's got a chip on the corner.

Check the sticker on the bottom and see if it's from the M1C1 lot. If so, these have a history of problems with the heating unit. See my post on this yesterday, as well as several others on this thread. Your best bet would be to return it and request one from a different lot number. I have returned two M1C1's to Aroma-Tek for exactly the problem you describe and am waiting for one from their new shipment. Good luck.

It is the M1C1 model. I emailed both Arizer and torontovaporizer.ca.

You understand you can't move them "inward a little bit", there's stuff there, you'd have to move them out......along with everything else, making the entire unit bigger? Like so much, it's a compromise. I can't see it as as a flaw I guess (just a different decision than I might have made). And for sure it has nothing at all to do with "build quality", this is a design issue.....the Solo is built as designed as I see it. And IMO well built to very high standards. Ever peek inside one?

I disagree that "it is likely to happen to all Solos until they change this". The evidence seems to be that it is very rare indeed to those units which haven't been disassembled or tossed into backpacks and otherwise knocked about. It could be bigger and heavier, of course, but guys gripe about those things now.

It's indeed unfortunate it suffered a mishap on your watch, hopefully your friend will understand.

Good luck with it.

Does the solo come new with battery charged? Or do you have to charge it out of the box? If so how long does it take to charge?

Thanks. Mine is herre Monday? How does it compare to the volcano?

I guess I'm wondering how do I know when it's done?

My AU$2c worth: Compare fresh herb with your ABV under strong light with a 10x or 20x magnifying loupe.
You should see lots of waxy, shiny trichomes in the fresh herb and more or less none or in the ABV - that suggests you probably liberated most of the active ingredients out of the material and into your head.
Bud with small, sparse trichomes in the fresh herb probably won't give much vapour. Shiny trichomes in the ABV = it ain't done yet - try higher temperature settings.
As discussed above http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/arizer-solo.3833/page-912#post-528852 , there seems some consensus that sativa rich genetics give very effective vapour but fewer vapour-rich pulls per stem load - even at higher temperatures compared with indica rich varieties.

Does anybody know how to take advantage of the discount PV give FC members? What do I tell them?
What sort of discount? How much? Is PV's special stems worth it. I.E. bigger clouds, easier draw, bigger or same size bowl so to speak?

yea indica last longer but sativa finishes quicker but you milk a hit and the sativa bowl dosent last long. its like huge clouds for a few minutes and then its done, unlike the indicas. they seem to keep hitting till i have 2 level 7 sessions on it.

When you place your order online, while in the shopping cart, there is a place to insert a discount code. Enter it there and recaluculate.

If you have a newer model, I say use it stock first and see how YOU like it. If it seems like you are struggling too much too get a hit and you don't get used to it, then you are a candidate for an stem upgrade from PV. If you get used to it and have no problem, save the money and spend it on something else. I didn't find a need to replace my stock stems until I broke both of them.

My newer solo came about half way charged. I think it still suggested to fully charge it before your first use. Hard to do, but worth it. Takes about 1-2 hours depending. Don't forget to do at least one burn-off session (I suggest 2-3).

I don't think it compares to the volcano. They are too different. You can get nice clouds with the Solo. This is obvious for the volcano (i think)...taste is similarly good (don't want to cast opinion of the best in this category). I'll put it like this...before getting the solo, my main experience was with a volcano. So, I had high expectations and felt the Solo might not live up. I was pleasantly surprised. I got more than what I paid for.

Hi, I have a few questions and would greatly appreciate if anyone could answer them. I have decided to go the Pinnacle Hydrotube over the F-bomb due to another member doing a test between the two. I am also going for the normal and shorty 14mm PVHEGonG adapter. Everytime I try to find either everywhere seems out of stock. Is there anyone you could recommend that may have any above mentioned in stock? I live in Australia so no doubt will cost me heaps for postage. Should I buy the HT off theyoyokid1 off ebay (out of stock) or somewhere else? Do Pinnacle have there own website? Should I just wait for Planetvape to get stock in for the adaptors or is there a better source ?
I have used a first generation solo for years (model number has rubbed off) and it has been a legend. I bought a newer one (M1A) with stainless steel bowl and I do not like it anywhere near the older one with the ceramic bowl mainly due to the higher temp needed to do the same job and also the way the stem fits. I would like to get my hands on a older one if the ceramic wasn`t flaking as mine never did. I notice when connecting a bubbler that the solo is used upright I always thought you could not use this way because I thought that the herb would be touching the bottom of the oven at some stage and would combust is this not the case? What do other members think regarding the loss of taste and potency when vaping through water? I have to try something to make the vapor less harsh on my 61 year old throat LOL. Thanks for any advice

Hi,
I have the Solo, it is my favorite vape most of the time other than the Ascent and the Pinnacle Pro. It really depends on the day or the hour. I prefer a portable even at home because of the bulk of the plug ins. I like to be able to be unattached whether at home or on the go.

I use it with the Pinnacle WT, it works wonderful with the PVHES 14 mm gong attachment. I use it on levels 5 and 6, not too harsh, depending on the medicine.

Stopped combusting a little over a year ago, feeling better, not wheezing like I was. The Pnp WT has come down in price, it's $69 through VaporBlunt.

Great thanks for that. If I got from vaporblunt it would cost approx $110 A Dollars for me but what can you do if you want it right? not much competition around.
