Cheap High Quality Bubbler

I was cruising dhgate and saw that there are 49 D020s in stock. Looks like they got more in.
If anyone comes across a Chinese bubbler/waterpipe with a removable mouthpiece post up a link. I'm looking for something bigger than an ashcatcher/jhook or the D020 that I can change out the mouthpiece MacGyver style depending on where I want to sit. Seems like some makers in the US are going that way but it hasn't been copied yet in Asia that I can find. It's all regular flared tube end mouthpieces, etc. You know, like a bong :brow:

BWG had a perfect C2 bubbler with everything I wanted except its 14mm

But now it's not even in stock and all the rest are fixed mouthpieces.

The infamous looks like its about the same size as a d020. Anyone have both that can chime in with a comparison?
Yeah, I drool over GBDs stuff a couple times a month. That 65mm shower head bubbler is so nice. Decent prices too. If Asia would just copy that. Thanks!

I have em both, the infamous is tiny. Even compared to the D020, with the ability to take the mouthpiece off it makes a great travel piece. That being said my infamous is strictly my oil rig now and my D020 and Ali ex hc and hc ac are my flower rigs.

I was so set on getting my next bubbler with a removable mouthpiece. Loved my infamous.

Then I made my own using a silicone stopper + silicone tube. Works on every glass piece I own and I can't break it, :clap:

Ha! I have one of those as well. I've even attached it to my d020. Works nice but I miss the all glass path, plus I REALLY need a new glass piece, lol.

Was your infamous about the same size as the D020?

The infamous really is tiny, the can is about 45mm and it stands only 3 inches tall (just the can, the joint and mouthpiece are obviously taller)

One of the things I love about the infamous bubbler from pipesdaddy is that when I remove the GonG and mouthpiece it is short enough to fit in my top desk drawer standing up with water in it! It's out of the way and yet still ready to go at a moments notice. It's never fallen over in the drawer (knock on hemp

I've thought about asking jhanpixel if he would do the UFO showerhead with a detachable MP.

Which would you think would be better, male 18mm or female 18mm? 18mm male would give you the option of additional pieces like a hydratube.

The $40 infamous uses a female 14mm, male 14mm MP.

Not sure your budget. I really like the clean look of jhan's glass.

I'm a big fan of his work too. I'd definitely be interested in one like you are describing. I really like his UFO. I think the female joint on the bubbler would be the least likely to get damaged. I dunno, tho. Good question and Great idea! Let me know if you contact him.

I was hoping Jhan would jump on the recycler trend. Im sure he would build a nice piece,I have 3 of his pieces and they are my nicest and the most bomb-proof badboys I own. I thought I read he was thinking of getting involved with de-tach. M.P. rigs,but the matrix bubb over ruled I guess in the studio at the time.I guess some of us who have some ideas should ask him in the near future if he would be interested in creating them. :cheers:

Yeah pyrex is no longer all boro. Unless these are old adapters before they where bought out in '98.

Reclaim is forming weird on my pyrex, like its beading. Same thing happended when I washed it with water.

Same with the reclaim on mine. It's been ISO'd as well. Scrapes up and smokes like normal, though. :tup:

Cool, that's good to know. I wasn't too worried.

Kinda think it might be a good feature, it appears resin doesn't stick to this adapter as much as it did to my other CB, so while I get less reclaim, more has to be making it to my lungs, hah. I've tried to get a screen to stay in the claisen adapter, it just won't hold. As soon as the glass gets warm, it just slides right out.

So all he has left is kimax. Might have to order another just to see the difference, :lol:

This glass piece is pretty thick.
The SMOKE SHOPS in my Local sells thin glass pieces for 3x the price of Locally Blown Glass?
Small tube on this piece however the FRIT makes it good!
KIMAX is very good glass however this cheap PUREX fitting I use for a carburetor does the job!
If it was KILMAX it would be better!

Nice piece @ataxian. That looks like a custom of GBDs little fritted tube. How's it hit? I've had my eye on it too because of the removable MP.

Hey just a heads up, that seller has another auction for that "similar" piece. You might want to message him and ask if that's what he's sending instead. It's a kimax #44990a and the Pyrex I got is a #9550. There's a difference in the space between the joints. I'm not sure what you will be using it on but that #44990A probably won't allow for the fit of the body of a Cloud+. The #9550 just barely fits my Cloud. I'm sure the #44990a would work with portables and smaller body vapes though.

FYI for any of us wanting to order from Kathy Wu on A.E. it appears maybe they have shutdown for their holiday or the site has maintenance being done and hopefully we can access after the maintenance is completed, other wise no biz until after 02-10-14.Well that means it will be 2 mos before I see my rig if at all.TIMING IS EVERYTHING as they say,I have enough glass to keep me busy until then.If it makes it GREAT,if not oh well ,just order again!!. :leaf:

I love the way a frit diffuses.

The mouth piece is smaller which I find desirable.
Plus I have a few different mps to use with this set up.
