Discontinued Omicron Vaporizer for oils

To be fair though, if I'm paying shipping and handling in two separate charges, they better make me wait at my house all day to sign for it. I wouldn't stand for anything less. ;)

Naw, not a bit of it. I got you beat all hollow. I've got a mail guy (one of two) who's kinda bashful (actually not so good at talking???), he tip toes up to the old mail box and drops the dreaded yellow slip into the box quiet as can be (I'm maybe 30 feet away....) then quietly starts his little truck up and sneaks away......leaving me to go down to the GD "Post Office from Hell" to stand in line (average maybe 25 minutes?) to get the package the next day. No knock or bell ring that might tip me off.......

I don't get much of a chance, really, although I did chase him up the street one time with success.

He's figured it out, drop the slip and slip away and it's not your problem any more? Gotta love it.

So, almost every W9 shipment gets to me a day (or more) later than necessary, and takes almost an hour to 'run down and pick it up' (assuming they can find it, not always the case). All because some guys try to rip them off?

How hard would it be for W9 to look back over the years (D9 and THC Scientific days) to note that I'd given them many hundreds of dollars of business, a dozen shipments or more, and never even once had any issues that effected them? All they do is check the little 'signature required' box, charge me for the service and not worry?

Like flushing your toilet, makes your problem is someone else's.....

So I've learned my lesson, if I can I'll buy the stuff I want elsewhere if I can. Get it cheaper, faster and easier that way......hard to object to, really.

Just venting, but it's the day for it.....I checked.

so, i just bought a O-PHOS from w9tech. it came dead on arrival, pretty much. everything seems to work, but i can't get it to charge. instead of a solid red light when i plug it in, the red led flashes very briefly once, then doesn't charge. i get the under-voltage flash when i try to use it. i've gotten it to charge for like 2 minutes, two separate times, in about 2 days of fiddling with it. so, i opened up a help ticket on w9tech. completely unhelpful, i got "have you tried turning it on?" (thanks for that) and then "where did you purchase it?" and haven't heard from the help guy since. pretty bummed at the prospect of paying additional shipping to return it to w9tech, when they shipped me a non-functional product in the first place - and who knows if they'll try to make me pay the $30 repair charge as well? i read a past post in this thread where someone said the problem could be due to the electrical contact on the body being pressed down from overtightening the cartridge, and to try pulling the contact up with a paperclip. i've tried this with no success and am kinda worried about continuing because i can already see slight scratches around the edge of the contact. honestly the O-PHOS seems great, i would love to love it, but i'm having a pretty bad experience so far. i'm posting here because i feel this is my last resort before having to pay money to return it. if anyone has any insight or ideas it would be greatly appreciated.

Guys i just tried the ticket system in Google and IE both work fine it could have been a user end issue or just a service provider issue. Its currently working fine.

I apologize for the issue you are having but this is a very rare issue, there is no $30 repair charge if the unit was purchased within the last year and we find its a manufacturer defect.

I am rotfl! I have a very surly lady with a carry permit deliver my mail, a shapely women and to long of a look and I found where she carries. Well my mail box is 430' from my back door that has stairs to it, it is more then she can handle. The door bell works, the slip is always on the door but she does not ring. I tip her well at the holidays, even though federal employees are not allowed to accept cash gifts, but no pushy of said doorbell. She will gladly put my packages in a dry place but will not push the door bell, and I get a lot of packages. The only thing I can do is stalk her, one time I was mowing the lawn and she waved, I thought my D9 package was at the door but all I found was a fucking orange slip. I tell myself I am just too tempting for her but I tell myself a lot of things that are not true. My conclusion in reality is she does not even put the package that needs signing on her truck, I have picked it up at the PO at noon the day tracking says it will be delivered and she does not even come to my mailbox until 3pm.

The fact that I order from canada so I can get a package I do not have to sign for is a bit ridicules since a priority mail package from CA arrives in 2-3 days to my home.

On a side note I used to get my beef from a ranch in Virginia mail ordered overnight. They had to stop deliveries because of how many people screwed them over with CC stoppage of payments even though package tracking confirmed the package arrived in 24hrs. A real shame for many of us honest folks, at least they will still drive an order up to me 3 times a year when they visit family I miss just ordering a few steaks instead of a side of beef.

@OF we understand this and the reason is that we do signature required is there are more then just few guys doing this. We cant just simply pick and choose who we require signatures from. The system has one option required/not required.

Hope everyone understands.

Yes, a necessary evil. TSA is also a so called necessary evil that loves to treat me and my children like a criminal so I can pay a fucking fortune to fly somewhere. Do I feel safer with TSA, not really, but that is a different matter.

You have to do what you have to do but I avoid any reason to order directly from you.

You're the only vendor I use that does this. I'll avoid it if I can. I hope you understand that......

No love lost old man. Im still here doing what we do best and the shipping issue is just a minor bump on the road to the top.

Understood. And good luck on that road, we're all benefiting from your journey.

However, from this end, such "bumps" can be stumbling blocks on a road that didn't have to be traveled at all. For many of us it seems?

I thought you only had to sign if the package you ordered is over $100?

Perhaps for some, but never for me? IIRC the rule is something like 'single carts don't need signatures' but that's Omicron carts......

Ironically we end up paying the fee for this (in higher prices) even if the time is not an issue.

I get why it is happening of course......and it is what it is.

I will make an admission here, due to OF's latest posts.
Going to the Post Office is hard work, that requires dressing, planning, medication and transportation.
Once the front door is locked, I like many patients are on borrowed time.
I can not tell you how many times I have gotten that little pink slip in my P.O.Box, then looked over at the line... and just folded the pink slip up, pocketed it and gone home... thinking I would get the parcel next time.
Sadly when I must sign, I often do not get to collect my parcels for a week or two., until I am strong enough.

I do understand why vendors do this.
It is to stop people from claiming package is lost.
I do my best to order parts etc. under conditions that do not make me stand on line.

Well put, oh Sage of the High Desert. For some a 'simple trip to the PO' is not so simple at all. For many of us it's a moving target, some days better than others......and you know how Murphy knows how to time things for maximum effect.......

Could be a nasty 'Catch 22', too lame to get to the PO to get what you need to fix the lame part. Another reason to always have a backup, it's "Murphy Insurance".

Thanks.

Wanted to say a couple things about the Omi.

When packing for Jam Cruise last week, I made a decision to take only my Omicron, charger, 1 kiss cart and 2 batteries. Plus wax. Stealthy, convenient and economical.

Everything was fine until the 3rd morning of 5 days. While cleaning my kiss cart with alcohol one of the wicks broke off leaving only 1/2 a wick in the cart. I thought "oh shit" I'm fucked now.

I put the cart back in after cleaning, decided to load a dab and hope for the best. The Omi worked like a champ for the next 2 and 1/2 days and is still working as I type this and get ready to order another cart.

Great product W9tech!!!

Before the W9 site change last year, my order of an Omi 2.5 & extra carts came in the locked mailbox without signing despite the signature required notice via email. After the site changed, everything has required a signature here including the new mouthpiece upgrade which didn't require payment.

Thanks THC Sci for your help by the way, page refreshed and ticket submitted / solved already!

You should have asked around. My friends and I (plus plenty of other people) had more than enough gear to share.

Fun trip.

So I've been using the 2.4 carts for a while now, and felt I was ready to take the plunge and attempt the 1.5 carts.

I loaded up about .5 into my cart, and upon first hitting the power, there was a thick white smoke billowing out the BOTTOM of the cart. It had a very bad "chemical/burning" smell to it. I thought maybe it was residue left on the coil from manufacturing, so I tried ripping it a few times without inhaling (maybe 3-4 sec drags tops). The smoke was crazy, but the flavor unbearable. This is the same oil the has worked great in my 2.4's (taffy-like consistency). I kept trying, but the thing just kept smoking and I almost threw up from the taste.

I melted the concetrate back out of the cart (got about .4 back), and decided the cart must be bad somehow (burning internal wires or something?). I then took the OTHER .5g (not the same I just reclaimed), and loaded it into a 2nd cart. This one did not billow smoke out the bottom, but still had a bit of a funky taste.

At this point I'm not sure what to think. I definitely feel like the first cart was defective, and there's no way you could actually vape from it (would make you sick), but I'm not sure what to make of the 2nd cart? The flavor from my 2.4 is pretty decent, so do the 1.5's just taste really bad? This oil tastes good on my KISS and Ti Nail setup.

Now I'm considering reclaiming the other .5, take the .2 loss, and just going back to a 2.4.... (having wasted $20 on carts, and some $$ on wasted concentrate as well)

Anyone experience anything like this before?

So I just tried hitting the 2nd 1.5ohm cart again and it doesn't seem to have the bad taste. I think I just had a nasty taste in my mouth from the 1st cart when I loaded it, so I originally thought the 2nd tasted bad also. It doesn't have quite as smooth/nice a flavor as my 2.4, but it fires right up and blows CLOUDS. How long are you guys typically holding the button per hit on the 1.5?

I tried the 1st 1.5 out again (which only has .1 left in it after emptying) and it is still blowing out huge clouds that taste light burning chemicals or wires. It's really nasty, and sucks that I have to waste one of my carts. Anyone ever had this happen before?

Since I began using CANNABIS COCENTRATES I quickly started using the 2.4 carts without issue.
Others like the other carts however I have taken a more cautious approach. I like the K.I.S.S. carts and have luck with these. The 2.4 cart's to me are very efficient.
