Discontinued Omicron Vaporizer for oils

So the kiss cart is literally 1-3hits at a time cause i put in .2 grams of wax and most of it melted and settled at the bottom underneath the coils. I got 1 really good hit but now it not close enough to the coils to vape. Loading it up every time i wanna hit is not ideal for me. Time consuming! So far on a scale of 1-5, i give it a 3. How bout releasing a regular omi cart with ceramic wick? Then i can shove 3/4 gram of goodness and be good to go any moment.
Theres a reason why they are Called "load as you go" carts. You may want to look at the Persei/Hercules combo. That's basically what you're describing.

Persei/herc combo? Not enough $$$ at the moment...plus i like the stealth of my O-light. Still haven't tried shatter in the kiss, heard its best type of concentrate for optimum results.

Well its easy to handle and typically you need a smaller sized dab then with wax... so yes. It should work better but you still need to load less so you dont get gobs of shit falling off the wick.

Obviously i put way too much on the first go...lesson learned! Once i give the shatter a go, i'll chime in again.

I have had good success holding the Kiss at a 90 degree angle or more to that the oil under the coil flows down the sides and vapes. Works best if the coil is parallel to your body (if that makes sense).

can the Herc SR71 with the black rod run on the Omicron v2.5 ?

i'm going to go ahead and give the answer of a hard NO since both Noa and G ignored the question and i haven't been able to even get the wispy hits that 3.7v gives on the Persei with the black rod

Oops sorry missed it ! But you are correct only blue rod ahould work on omi 2.5v
Also if you had a core with a omi 2.5v that says hvd on head it could do 7.4v on the core and run any of our attachments!

Sorry again !

Hello all!

I was hoping I could get some clarification.

I have an Omicron 2.5. My plan is to learn from using my Omicron, while slowly purchasing all of the attachments. Once I am 100% confident that I know what I am doing I plan on upgrading to a Persei, which I will already have the attachments for.

My question is this: Do I need to purchase the HVD kit before purchasing the SR-71 for my Omicron, or can it be run at all at 3.7v? I ask because I am looking at one new piece every two weeks, and I hate the idea of purchasing the HVD, and then not being able to do anything with it until I can get my Hercules 2 weeks later. If that's the way I have to do it I will, I would just rather not.

Thanks for any help.

Only way you can run the Hercules on the Omicron v2.5 is if you use The Core.

I noticed The Core doesn't let my Teal Omicron V2.0 top screw on as it's way too tight and gets stuck less than a thread down..

The inner part does screw into the Teal body tube just fine (keeping it all Teal except for the black bottom), but wonder how delicate that inner piece is when not in its own tube... As designed?

The tube that came with unit should not have been there. We are just keeping them there for this production run since its already there. I would recommend you use the regular tube and it should not be a problem.

That explains why the Persei-sized one requires the silver ring? ;)
Thanks for the quick answer!!!

Do I need the Core & the HVD, or just the Core?

All current Omicron kits come with the HVD tops you can verify by looking at the Serial number. If it starts with the letters HVD then its a 7.4v capable top. If not then you can only go up to 4.2v which should be good to drive the black rod, all you have to do is set it at 4.0v and your good to go for oils.

Dont be afraid of the Persei. Its just a larger and more versitile power source. Its the attachments which have the learning curve. I say just get the Persei now with a couple sets of AW batteries and a good charger. Expand from there.

Remember the persei can run all your omicron stuff not the other way around.

Yeah, I hear ya. I'm just having a hard time justifying purchasing another vaporizer literally two weeks after I got my Omicron. The Omicron was a gift, too. So I kinda feel like I'd be saying "yeah, what you got me is nice. But, what I really wanted is THIS!".

At the same time, I kinda feel like if I'm gonna spend $100 on a core then I might as well just spend $60 more and get myself a Persei.

Gagh, ...decisions, decisions :)

Anyone who wants a Persei ends up looking at The Core and Wanting that as well. Its a never ending cycle. Same thing happens to racers. I went this fast, lets see if we can go this fast now, wait need a faster car, oh i need e new block, damn these heads work great, come on the clutch? man the rear end, the tires omg im spending to much. At least i went as fast as my pocket book can handle. The real question is how deep you want to dive?
