Hello All,
i need some help here. one of my FAVORITE tools when i was a smoker was a Dugout one hitter. it was great tool cause i could take one or two hits really quick and move on before anyone knew (most of the time..... i did get caught once or twice).

i would love to find a vape that i could do the same type of thing. not have to wait for heatup times, good taste and able to get the job done quickly and be able to be put away quickly as well. now i know everyone will suggest the MFLB but i have to say i owned one and it was not what i was looking for and for ME did not get the job done at all.

anyone have any other suggestions OTHER than the MFLB???

i think this is kind of the holy grail, i'm not sure if there is one quick like a one hitter.

i wonder how that new vapor genie battery is?

are you open to butane? the vapman is pretty quick

Are you open to concentrates (oils, budders, waxes)?

Oil pens (such as the Omicron, and Dabbler) are able to deliver, but mostly due to the potency of concentrates.

flashvape meets your needs but I'm guessing that you want more of a pocket vape even though you didn't specifically say that. If you do want it for out in public, a T1 or sv evo is probably as close as you can get to what you want

The flashvape is far from a one hitter. What about the solo?

Unless you need the size of a dugout, then maybe the pax.

I don't think he meant one hitter in terms of bowl size but the ability to take a quick hit without a long heat up or cool down period

i have oil pen vapes... my issue is i live in a non-mmj state and i live in an area of that state where access to oils/budder/wax is VERY limited. in fact i currently only have one source for that stuff and he is a member of these boards. he is 40 minutes away and i get it when i can afford it, but i have to admit..the prices are not quite there to make it into my regular budget. now i get it as a "treat" when i have spare cash

i already own a solo and that is more that "one or two" hits

exactly!!!!

vaporgenie is the most instant one hit vaporizer I know of... I use a blue flame so it's cleaner tasting and get a huge cloud of high temp vapor in seconds. You just have to master the distance/time ratio of applying the flame. I can give you pointers in a PM if you want to try it out, its a lower cost vape too, so the risk is lower. I prefer the glass versions, but the handcarved is nice too. Otherwise, you are pretty much stuck with over 30 second heat times... Inhalater is pretty fast and effective, and pocket friendly, but the price tag is up there.

I actually enjoy the lighter to bowl, like the old daze with the VG...best of luck in what ever you decide.

It's the ideal shape, and you can get some good pulls off of it but it's not quite a 1 hitter.

yeah firewood takes at good 20-30 sec to heat up and get going, but once it's warm it's a heavy hitter. Reminds me of waiting for the thermovape gear to warm up... it's an excellent little vaporizer though and they have that special price going on the walnut right now...

so you couldn't "stop" and save it for later?? i know in alot of vapes (PAX, Solo, unless you remove the stem after each hit, etc.) this is NOT an option cause the load keeps cooking. is that the same with firewood too?

you can warm it, hit it, put it down, no problem there... your load will get toasted a bit, but I do that with mine. You don't have to run the entire load at once, it just works more efficiently after it's warmed up. And you can also put small loads in the Firewood. The VG does want a bit more in a bowl.

That's funny, i wouldn't have spontaneously thought of the MLFB. I'm actually even surprized no mention of the VaporGenie was made. Mine's been modded in a way that makes me want to pre-heat it now but i believe a whole session still remains below the 15 seconds mark or so... I was playing with it in my veranda a few minutes ago, using a 17" whip extension from my V-Tower kit: having total eye-contact on the flame is a desirable feature - it's fun too. Another useful option was to split the "foamy-rock" and defocuss radiating heat in the center it seems, this helps to delay the formation of a "hot-spot" which in turn makes it possible to avoid combustion (for all practical purposes)! Batteries can hardly compete with the power of fire and "clean" (filtered) butane refill cans ain't as hard to find as the type of batteries one would need to depend on...

Here's how it looked when the project started:

I'm going to try the pinnacle pro out, reportedly you can use it very efficiently as it reportedly works well with only a partially filled cartridge.

But I agree about the glass vapor genies, my glass bat is the most satisfying portable vape I have used to date and my glass sherlock is shipping today. The only drawback is trying to share them with combusters, because the more high they get the more likely they are to screw it up. And trying to use them outdoors can be frustrating as even a slight breeze can mess with the technique.

But the pax is by far the most discrete vape out there, and it may be the only one to meet the OP's criteria. Some have reported success in reducing the oven size with rolled-up screens and such.

no the PAX will not do.... thanks for the suggestion though. i couldn't load the pax, take a hit or two and put it away then come back to it.

Salutations JamBandPhan03,

...must have missed my last few posts...

Ideed, i guess i didn't look with sufficient attention or something must have happened! ...'cause i posted as a result of finding no mentions of the VG... But yes, the VG finally gets some of the love it deserves with our testimonies.

Honestly other than the MFLB or the Pax, I'd only be able to reasonably recommend oil pens for that particular purpose you're looking for.

The hammer actually sounds like it would be the closest to the one-hitter experiences that I used to have when combusting, but I've never actually used the hammer so just speculation.

i have the hammer and you'll be waiting ~30 secs before it's up to heat.

it's challenging to design a portable convection vape that quickly heats up hot enough to heat the air to the proper temp

vapor genie has no heat time and could easily slip back into your pocket. Also it wont cook your load when ur not hitting it

thanks but as was stated above it takes technique to use it and while i can easily learn the technique (and may) the technique is thrown out the window in outside windy situations that i MAY end up being in. not saying i am not considering a VG cause i am... just want to hear all possibilities
