My friends call me "Menz"
hello all,
so my reliable Solo seems to be acting up. i have a M107 that i bought from planetvape on 3/1/12. it still works but the lights are acting up. first... my blue idle light does not come on at all. when i turn it on the 3 and 7 lights turn on, then i get the battery power level, then all lights go off. as i turn up the temp by going through the levels 1 through 4 are fine but when i get to level 5 the level 1 light comes on with it, when i get to 6 the 2 light comes on with it and when i get to 7 the 3 light comes on with it. after that it start the heat up process. during that process the 2 light starts blinking right away even though it still has not heated to level 1 yet. it's not till it get to to level 3 during the heatup that the lights return to normal.

the unit still works. i have tried the "reset" method (plug it in to the charger, hold both buttons for 4 seconds, wait 10 more seconds then unplug from charger) but that did not fix the lights.

i checked and i still have time on my warranty and am wondering if this is a warranty worthy issue. i love my M107 and am afraid they would just exchange it for a newer unit and i am not sure i want to do that either. it still works so i wonder if i should even care about the lights?? or is this the first sign of something bigger to go wrong??

I have a M107 from almost 2 years ago and it works like the first day I vaped it!
When I bought a 2nd one I found the firm ware to be equal.
It doesn't matter if it was made today or yesterday!
Send in your unit and get a tune up!

Ah ssvun there must be more to that story cause how did it get lost on a golf course and end up in another state in your friends car?

Menz, if you want it just fixed then send it to arizer but there should be no issues with the newer units. That is a new light issue that nobody has reported yet. If you do end up sending it to arizer please ask what the issue was TIA.

You Must Unlearn, What You Have Learned...
Ah a wise Dreamer you are! It was a very fun day with too much Captain and Makers and I left my pv gong in the cart. I didn't realize this until I was in my friends car headed to a poker game. Back to the solo. I guess someone shoved it under a seat. Needless to say I searched everywhere with no luck. My friend didn't look too hard is my guess, but they found it when cleaning the car out today and will be returning this evening. I don't have the guts to ask the pro shop for my gong, I'm sure the cart attendants were wondering wtf is this pipe, lol!

Seems like I may be having a problem already... gonna let it charge for another hour or two to see, but the green charging light never stops blinking. When i take it off the charger and turn it on, the number 7 led is all that flashes, and there is a 5~ second long beep. After that, I turned it off and plugged it back up. I'm on the M1A version, and i saw on page 400 something other people were having my same issue. Did anyone ever figure out what was wrong or do I have to send mine all the way back to canada and take another 2 weeks to receive a new one...?

Sounds like you're not charged up yet. As the green 'charge' light flashes the yellow (?) LEDs should 'step up' as it charges lighting them up as it goes until all 7 are lit. It can start out 'below empty' so it may take a while for the first step to show.

Are you seeing any step lights come on in charging?

BTW, what you're reporting is not the common charger problem of the past.

I have found that if you hit slowly and do not fight the Solos draw restriction, it is impossible not to milk it. Of course if the material you are using is of a lower grade, then that could definitely be the problem.

I usually use mine on 3-5 and get huge clouds everytime, with zero guess-work. Vapor production wise the Solo is second only to my E-Nano which is a plug-in unit with a fairly powerful heating element.

I guess turning it on that once and then back off fixed it, because when i plugged it back in the green light came on solid and it's working perfectly now. Just fit my screen and am letting it burn off and then will be on to vaping :) Thanks

Your battery fell below the minimum voltage... happened to me before too. For some reason the solo does not even attempt to charge batteries that are lower than 3.2 volts. You will need to find a way to charge your battery up outside of the Solo, leave it on and hope it trickle charges up to the right voltage or get a new battery pack.

Unless it came like this, in which case you will be able to get it replaced no problem.

I get light shows every time I switch from the PA to charging...what a PITA.
That light show is new as far as I know. I agree with OF about it needing to be on the charger longer but that can be wrong and there may be an issue.

Yep, same and I just press the two buttons and it stops. I have done other stuff as well but most things work some better then others.

Wow, I feel great. The solo definitely fits my needs. Never gonna combust again, thanks FC

Excellent, thanks for passing the good word. Welcome to vaping. Avoid blazing for a few weeks and see how disgusting it really is. No need to take all that garbage just to get to the THC.

Oh, yeah, standby to save a bunch of bucks on weed. Seriously. If you don't 'really get into it' all the more, probably a reduction of four to one. Seriously. A gram lasts like an eighth used to. Most of us ended up partaking more hours per week, shifted to the top shelf and still save money......to spend on vapes, of course.

True words. I use a 3rd of what i use to, get twice as medicated, do it more often, and have no desire to combust. Im still a rookie to, i have only had my solo since fathers day.
