I have to say, I am happy, for the people that pre-ordered with got vape are getting gifts. But I kinda fell like, That was the whole inscentive to wait for the offical pre-order threw DV. Because if that was the case, I would have pre-ordered with got vape, along time ago, saved my self the head ache of constantly checking for an update, and going to the DV website and clicking add cart hoping to see, that I can purchase the thing. Most people waited because they where told to wait for the manfacture pre-order. Just feel like thats a little unfair. but thats just me. Just wondering if any of yall felt the same way

Completely agree. Now that they are giving out bubbler adapters I kind of regret now ordering with them, plus they offer a 15% discount, making it closer to $220 vs the $250. I'm hoping in the end davinci will surprise us and we will be better off than those who ordered with got vape. But for now we have to keep checking and make sure we are among the first to order, so that we can even get a bubbler adapter.
By the way, does anyone know what the deal is with a bubbler attachment vs just an adapter?

Uh... it's called wholesale. It's a known thing.
That and existing distribution channels and distribution agreements. Fulfillment will go through existing agreement first, and those have been negotiated for a while.
Also, if you dump units on the market at wholesale to the public, you basically destroy the retail market and you do damage to all of the stores that you depend on as a revenue stream.

I take it you clam to have knowledge of quantities for the adaptors, know the distribution for them, and know that they have been re-allocated?Don't worry. There are plenty of adaptors.

If you read further down, there was someone claiming that the Ascent was never denied. He links the page to where the responses were posted. I haven't checked, but someone has attempted to refute the claims that you have quoted. It's certainly worth a look into though, because this will show whether or not the bulk pricing is possible. Just wanted to put that out there for you guys.

They are on davincis site right now for only $1..
Also, theres a U-Water Tool adapter..anyone know if thats an actual bubbler attachment vs an adapter to use it with a bong or bubbler?

They tried to Convince me the bullet they offered to send me for my "other brand vape " was worth $30 when you can buy 2 for half that .
They also kind of misrepresented what was in stock and I had a wait for my item as well .
I took $ instead of that offer of course .
I feel they are mad Shady and prey on uninformed consumers .
My Ascent will come from DV !
The u adaptor is for oils I think and the straight one for flowers. Not an actual bubbler

"Glass Straight Water Tool Adapter for Ascent Vaporizer 18mm or 16mm" - 16mm is an even number but in this case it's a little odd. They do have the correct selection (18 or 14) when you proceed to buy the adapter.

I think we kind of have a duty to answer this question though, you can't just withhold the truth when someone directly asks:
From everything I've seen, I wouldn't pre-order from them or any other vape website. Vaporizers aren't popular enough to be ultra-mass produced, so dealers are always running out and getting new shipments.
On top of the general "don't preorder" rule, gotvape has also engaged in some aggressive marketing practices involving this forum... I bought my pinnacle from them because it was the cheapest option, but if they offer the same price for something I would probably buy elsewhere.

I truly understand. Total impulse buy on my part. But I pre-ordered from GV with a 10% off. So far they've been keeping me informed. We'll see if they come through with the "7-10 business days" they emailed me. I'll keep everyone informed.

You can use either the u shaped or the straight for flowers, as stated on their site. Doesn't say that the u shaped version works better for oils, vs. plant. It's just the one you'd select if you want to vape both.
Since both are described as 'adapters', I think their site also makes that clear.
If they're saying they'll ship 7-10 days from your order date, I would doubt that, since the vape would have to be released almost immediately for that to happen. I don't doubt they can ship 7-10 after receiving the product, but if they have a large number of preorders, they may not have enough to cover them all with their 1st delivery from DV.Carlos Gonzalez said:

Sorry, the U-water tool adaptor is the one Adobewan designed, right? Or am I reading it wrong? I notice on their site there is a placeholder "Image coming soon" graphic for it (so I can't identify if this is Adobewan's). As it is for oil, I presume this is the case.
That being said, could the price be a place holder too? That seems really cheap for the glass+silicon holder to be manufactured. I can't seem to add any of the $1 parts to the cart (Just get "Loading just wait" message), while I can add existing products immediately, and get "out of stock" message on the Ascent, so the shopping cart works for everything but the $1 parts (including the other adaptor and the new oil cans)
Sidenote: Also I thought that the adaptor was only 18mm when it was initially announced? I had presumed that was because a 14mm(16mm in description?) most likely speaks to a smaller device, which might not counter balance the weight of Ascent+Glass+siliconHolder+shift in center of gravity. Waiting to be corrected by someone with better understanding than my own...
EDIT: And to bolster Max's point, the adaptor is just an anti-gravity device for oils.
It's agnostic to whatever is in the bowl.

The other possible thoughts I had were either "introductory special discount pricing" or a means for all of the initial pre-order people to add the item to a shopping cart that wasn't designed to accept a price of Zero (and the price would jump after the pre-sales close).
But I went with "placeholder" due to the way the cart reacted differently.
